Honestly if you never pay retail the aftermarket on RAH is a lot better than figuarts though(as in they almost always get cheaper instead of increase in price). Just never pay retail and limit the figures to one or two a season.

For example if I got the figuart version of Den-o I'd be tempted to get all of them and spend a lot more than the $60 PBM Den-O sword form I got to represent such an enjoyable serries.

Same with W where I got PBM Skull for $80 and am content with him being my one W figure.

TLDR I spend less money collecting Medicom figures than I would of collecting Figuarts

I think the cheapest one I've seen on Mandarake is Kickhopper. And for $80, I'd probably buy it since I like Kickhopper's design a lot. Of course I still plan on getting the figuart. RAHs/PBMs to me would be the type of figures I'd want a shelving unit with a door for, that way there is no chance of them getting messed up that much.
