You have to open them up by hand. Same with the Gash.

Gashapons are the ones that can come with LEDs, but even then, those are only the 1/50 Rider Lock Seeds. They are also the one that have two pieces for the lock bit, candy toy is solid. Also, Candy Toy's insides are an opaque while Gashapon's are transparent.

Candy Toy you have to open manually.

I was going to correct the other post too, but OOO beat me to it.

Unfortunately I don't own any of the candy toy Energy Lockseeds, so I'm not sure how those work. I do need to make a correction though, when I said the lock piece is two parts on the candy toy it's actually just one, I got it confused with the gashapon version. I also forgot to mention in regard to the sounds, only the DX version plays the unlocking sound when you open it, on the candy toy version the sounds only play if you press the button on the back.

So I was just playing around with my DX Ichigo Lock Seed, and after the 'battle start' sound it makes a roaring noise once in a while. I then tried and as far as I can tell my Orange and Pine Locks do not do this. What's up with this? Is it just Ichigo, or do some of the other DX seeds do this?

Ya some locks do that, Kiwami after several times does a phrase from Blonde Mai. I think Suika does and Invess sound like Ichigo.

Mango, Kiwi, and Ichigo all make a different invess noise after the fifth 'battle start' sound effect. Kiwami is completely random though. I have no idea how it works, Blonde Mai has about 3 different phrases but I havent heard but one in forever.

So what dose one have to do to get a AC Kadidoki and AC Kiwami figures?

The candy energy seeds are awful, you have to unfold every panel that's supposed to flip open automatically after you put it in the Genesis Driver (or anything else). At least with the non-energy ones, the Sengoku Driver's knife pushes them open anyway.
