In a piece of overlooked news, there's going to be a new 616 Peter Parker book about Spider-Man's high school days.

I got my Silver Surfer today.
Positives: Except for the legs, the joints are quite tight, especially the ab crunch. The paint job is really nice and I love the use of the blue around the silver. Another thing that rocks are the magnets in his feet as the board stays nice attached to the legs (as long as you don't hold him by the board, at least) that I have never been able to get a peg to do. I also love that it allows him to be moved into different poses while riding the board. The Howard the Duck figure is a nice bonus. Negatives - The legs are loose, especially in the knees, so he has trouble balancing in certain poses. This could have been avoided if they had used ratchet joints like Hasbro uses today. Also, it seems like the silver paint is rubbing off, especially in his shoulder joints. The magnet in his left foot is scratching the board and has taken some paint off already (as you can see in one of the pictures). Despite my issues, this figure is awesome!! I'm quite glad that I got him even though I think he was $5 more than he was worth. The paint job is fantastic and I just love that I have a fully posseable 6 inch Surfer, and one who can actually stay attached to his board for more than a minute. http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...pskqugmq5l.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...psjyr9grli.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...psr7fuc2bc.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3nk06lgk.jpg http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8c94zi79.jpg |
