Haven't watched Gaim yet unfortunately. I'll repost my tier list from the KR General Thoughts thread to give an idea of what series I'm into. I also sometimes buy particularly cool looking suits if they're cheap even for stuff I haven't watched. It's why I have New Den-O and Go(r/l)d Drive

Some good stuff to get would probably be Jin Burning, Jaou Dragon is going for $55 apparently, Metal Build and Prime Rogue are up currently for 55-60 |

My suggestion would definitely be some Saber riders. If you like those suits that is, because the figures are amazing.

Watched a review of Prime Rogue, definitely looks a bit better. After browsing through everything in stock at Nakano, I'm down to four choices for the third and final figure
1. Naki - 6500 yen (They had an incredible character arc with Fuwa, plus as someone going through some gender thoughts lately they're extra relatable) 2. Seihou Momotaros - 5500 yen ( Haven't watched Den-O beyond the two episodes on the Toei YouTube channel, but he was great there and in all the movies I've seen him in. Plus he's pretty cheap) 3. Build RabbitRabbit - 6500 yen (My favorite Build power up. Should have been his final form. Plus the Fullbottle Buster is my favorite Kamen Rider BFS/BFG combo) 4. SIC Joker - 4500 yen (Joker is such a good suit design for half-boiled Shotaro's character evolution, plus I love the SIC aesthetic. Minus they're bigger and heavier than Figuarts so it might effect shipping more). Any help in narrowing it down to a winner? I'll admit that I'm more interested in Naki and RabbitRabbit than the other two. Also if you're reading this, please don't buy the Jaou Dragon and Prime Rogue on Nakano until I can make a final decision tomorrow. Feel free to buy the Momotaros or Joker to help make it easier to choose though! |
The only one I own is Naki, but I've handled Momo.
Naki looks absolutely phenomenal but has some articulation issues due to the suit design, and you will need to modify the cuffs on the wrists some if you want to have the claws rotate with the hands. Still, if you've got any degree of Vulcan/Fuwa collecting going on, Naki's a must. Momo's just a solid figure. Be more solid if they reissued the Den-Liner set with him like the olden days, but that's just me talking as someone who likes to do goofy display stuff. On the subject of Build- make sure you're looking at one that includes the corrected driver. RabbitRabbit came out of the factory with the Evol Driver instead of the Build Driver, which basically amounts to a different design in the silver circular bit but could drive you mad if you're a particular type of collector (which I am). |
My pick is Momotaros. Definitely not because I recently bought Den-O Seihou :lol
but because he'd make for a pretty unusual figure in the display, and since he doesn't have much in the way of armor, he'll be pretty fun to pose. I guess if you also have the Revice SHFs coming in, he'd do well in some good photos with Vice too maybe? Also because gloss red is a beauty to look at. |
Momotaros is one of the best figures they've done.
...But my vote is Naki for the reasons you mentioned and black and white toku suits are always pure eye candy. |
