The point of the SHF thread isn't pictures is all. It's about discussion of the line. That's why we have cool stuff threads for pics. This thread doesn't need to be cluttered by images when that's not really it's purpose. Though images that relate to the discussion at hand are appropriate.

As for Hibiki. I guess I'll be pulling a late one tonight myself so I can grab him.

I would but I'm tapped out of money and I haven't seen Hibiki nor really like the suit/s.

I'm kinda curious I'm a very minor SH Figuarts collectors, but I've never seen a figure line that'll keep people up for pre-orders. Figmas being big on most the Anime audience I don't see many people going crazy waiting for the pre-orders button to go up unless it's a web exclusive that is. So is the figuarts line really that sparse even though renewal Kabuto, and Hibiki or Gaim(maybe?) is a wide release.

I think it's just a case of being able to do it right away just in case stuff runs out. I'd assume since Hibiki is finally getting a release, there would be a lot of demand for it. And with Gaim being the currently running series that is already having success with it's other toys, it's safe to say there would be a rush for them as well.

Amiami pre-orders sell out in minutes. If you don't feel the need to stay up I won't blame you. But these things regularly sell out like crazy.

It's more about pricing. Generally, the sites that have pre-orders go by price and popularity. The most popular sites with the lowest prices will sell out first. Sometimes the under the radar sites will have them for similar prices and they'll take longer.

The ones that sell out first are also the places that don't require immediate payment.

Also, it's almost exclusively Kamen Rider Figuarts that sell out immediately. Sentai/Anime figuarts are much easier to get pre-orders for. They rarely sell out.

Edit: But also about reliability, and existing orders and stuff. It's better to order everything from the same place so you don't pay multiple shipping costs.

First time preordering a figuart through amiami and I bagged myself a hibiki unf yeahhhh.

Now all I need are skyrider and ryuki and I'm done for my main rider lineup!

Was sold out there, then I went over to Hobbysearch and it sold out while it was in my cart. Went back to Amiami and it was in stock and had no problems.

I sat there like a hawk. Came in stock exactly at the time it should have, added one to cart, clicked to the next page and sold out. Less than 15 seconds.

Gonna see if I can snag one from amiami after work training cause my gradpa don't get up till round 7:30 AM EST :lol.

Unless you plan trying to pick one up around the usual 6pm JST restock, I really wouldn't hold your breath trying at Amiami.

Dude that is early morning & my grandpa is still asleep during that time, if I can't get one from amiami, I'll try HLJ or Nippon-Yasan.

Fair enough then, I was just giving you warning that more often than not that's the only other window of opportunity when it comes to Amiami.

hunting for hibiki is gonna be tough. well my only options now are hopefully Bluefin gets him, and cstoys. I had no idea that he went up when I was sleeping.

Well, CDJapan still has Hibiki. I don't usually pre-order from them since they require payment up front, but I was low on options this time. Their discount isn't quite as good as the other vendors and their shipping rates are a little higher. But, in my experience, they're a quality service. At least I got one.

Missed out on Hibiki so I'll just hope that Bluefin releases him.

To back up Thessair, CDJapan is fantastic, if they've still got preorders up you should go with them, I managed to bag myself a Kabuto renewal which I preordered like three days before it's release date, it's a site that often goes overlooked so I go there to look for stuff I missed.

You actually don't have to pay up front for CDJapan if you use a credit card or debit card instead of paypal. They just need to authorize one so they can charge you when it ships. I learned that the hard way as well as the fact you can't use Frequent shopper points when you use pay pall XP

I love CDJapan thought, I've used it for years to buy CDs and concert Dvds and I have found the perfect way to manage my points so I can get around 500-800 yen/points off every purchase and make that same amount of points back on the same purchase. So I don't have to pay a whole lot more than Amiami.

I am looking for a kyoryu black and pink right now. I know I have to wait until after the release since the preorders have stopped.

Hrm. They must have changed their policy at some point, then. When I first started ordering from them, back in the days prior to PayPal, they billed my credit card for pre-orders. I'm glad they offer that as an option now, though. They do let you use points for PayPal purchases now, too. I used the last tiny bit of my remaining points when I ordered Hibiki this morning.

I think it's been like that for credit cards for three to four years now, they must of changed the paypal thing recently though. At first you could pay with points with paypal but when they added the paypal option at check out it took you straight to the paypal website so you didn't have the option to use your points. Though I guess if you used paypal on the regular cheekout page then points will still be an option.

I still will probably never use paypal with them though as the ability to add items to prexisting orders and to combine orders until they reach the processing stage is way too useful to give up.

Bluefin mention that they can as long as there's no pending license proposal or offer awaiting action. I don't know what happen with Gaim, but Hibiki should be okay.

Gaim's pretty much been caught in offer-awaiting-action limbo. So until Bluefin get a clear answer on whether they can distribute the Figuarts here or not, their hands are tied.

Pretty sure the past Heisei and Showa riders all fall under the same license, which is why releases of Riders from past series don't have to deal with that. Since Gaim is the newest, there are extra hoops.

I was wondering, does anyone know how to tighten up joints on a figuarts? My old Decade's shoulder ball sockets are really loose these days.

The issues with loose joints are only on older figuarts so if you have any newer ones, there won't be any issues but I honestly don't know, you'd have to PM one of the mods or admins who are more experienced with this stuff or wait for a reply as a lot of the members here are new to Figuarts, sorry man :L.

Loose joints can happen on any Figuarts figure. It isn't limited strictly to older figures.

As for tightening them, I haven't done a shoulder before, but I used a little clear nail polish on the ball of the joint and it worked quite well. I've seen in this thread that some people have used a small bit of plastic bag, but I haven't tried that method myself.

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try when I can. Atm though gotta deal with my first figuarts fatality....also oddly my first ever figuart. Kamen Rider Ichigo the next ver. His leg ball joint snapped right off. It's a shame as I just finished cleaning the figure after years of dust...
