Mari was a horrible, horrible person. And Saya was in about two episodes.

Mari just came off as a typical teenage girl in Japan to me (as far as one sin toku go). As for Saya I love her to utter death and I hate how she was only in three episodes. She deserved better.

Exactly! She had hardly any screen time as both a Rider and a person, and it would've been cool if we had a female rider in Faiz that wasn't transformed for under a minute (Rina), insane (Saeko), or just couldn't transform (Mari).

I don't really see Mari as a horrible person. An undeserving one, on the other hand.

Plus she and Takumi would have made the cutest weird couple ever.

Honestly Faiz is so forgettable I don't really remember why I disliked her as much as I did. But I still remember finding her immensely annoying. I think a search through my posts is in order.

Didn't you also say she's like Bella Swan with everybody loving her? I'm only up to 36 but I've only counted 3 guys, which I don't think is that abnormal. After all, she's a teenage girl, they're fairly close in age, she's not too bad looking, and she's got a fairly nice personality. Seems like the norm.

Well to be fair Delta is more of a secondary rider, though a damn near god tier one with the way they built him up. Seriously that suit came into the show with the freaking legend of John Henry's hammer.

Well it's like I said. The problem isn't so much Yuuji turning a new leaf, but how he did so in the span of about 5 or 6 episodes and doesn't bring it up ever again.

Her only purpose in the show was to be lusted after. And feminism marches on. Even initially useful things, like her knowledge of the Faiz Gear, ends up falling to the wayside as Takkun gains the ability to pull powers out of his ass he masters on the first use.

Ehhh I don't think every guy does. Only one has really tried, the other two just sort of say it, with Kusaka actually trying to make her love him. Personality wise though, yeah she doesn't have the best. But for what she has though, she isn't that bad.

Well, there was that Faiz novel where she was raped. Yeeaaahhh....awkward.

I'm not talking about her finding a new guy. I'm referring to when she used Yuuji as a scapegoat to evade the cops. That's low, especially when the guy woke up after a two year coma and the first thing he tries to do is be with you again.

Speaking of Mari, what's with Kamen Rider and the side character female chick that's an ambiguous love interest in every series but is somehow extremely important to the protagonist and/or the plot?


The only show that I watched where this wasn't the case was Kabuto and well....let's just say that if they did that it would've been really awkward.

Did Kabuto even have any female characters?

They had that really shy ugly girl who was SO ANNOYING. But I dunno what she was about, I watched like four episodes of Kabuto and had had enough.

Thing is, did she even do anything? Even Mari did something, even if it did result in Takumi losing his last shreds of humanity.

I don't recall Yui really ever being a love interest in a romantic way. She was just loved by her brother like any brother loves their sibling.

Yui was a waste. Miho ruled. Simple as that. :p

Yui is the reason the Ryuki world exists :D

I mean she doesn't actually do anything, but she is pretty important plot-wise...

Eh, I kept expecting her and Shinji to hook up for some reason.

It's a staple of the franchise, dating all the way back to Hongo and Ruriko (who sadly disappeared) after Fujioka's accident. Some of the characters were just their for eye candy (most of Hayato and Hiroshi's harems), but some were really cool characters, like Junko from V3 or Tackle.

Hiyori was the core driving focus for Tendou because spoilers. It would have worked better if the actress hadn't gotten really sick and had to miss pretty much the last 25% of the show (still had more screen time than Koyomi, though).

Like I said: Miho, Tackle, and Yoko are the best. The end.

I'm actually starting to watch Gaim right now.. Just finished episode three. I guess I just wanted to have some background for the upcoming ToQger vs Gaim episode..

I know I already started Black.. But I felt like I needed to check out the current series.. Still really liking Black.. I'm on episode five on that series..

Unaired Dragon Knight pilot.

This Matt Smith dude is okay as Kit. He acts a ton better then Lunsford during ADR suit fights though. Asides from the obvious different noises and slightly different explanation of things, we get Matt Mullins being the intimidating bastard he always is.

Wha? Wing Knight actually does a hand gesture similar to Ren's before he transforms? They should have kept that in the real show. With the amount of gesture and mannerism pandering the show does to the Ryuki fanbase, why not keep the hand motions?

Overall, I enjoyed it about as much as Dragon Knight's real first episode.

You can watch both of them, Gaim only has 23 episodes so far. Just alternate series.

Super-1 Episode 15: A much better episode, dealing with one of Kazuya's friends who hated him and turning into a Monster for Dogma. It actually felt relatable to me because of his friend hating him for always winning and I am going to learn from his mistake because it's stupid to hate your friend because you lose. Kazuya couldn't beat him the first time but got past his friend and countered his plans. Also yay! He used Radar Hands and shot a missile right at him, created a fire circle, and then rider kicked him. It might be excessive but nice and flashy.
