Honestly I found the finale pretty damn disappointing from start to finish.

Although Clara's explanation wasn't a convoluted mess like most of Moffat's ideas we've spent so little time with her I wasn't convinced by her convictions.

The Whispermen did absolutely nothing. River Song was just there. The Great Intelligence did nothing but chew scenery. Was I really supposed to care about John Hurt turning out to be some random incarnation of the Doctor? and my God are the Scooby Gang annoying.
