They have all the sounds as the DX lockseed, they just lack the LED function.
Good luck finding durian for a decent price, it's one of the few that I'm missing, because I refuse to pay 30-50 dollars for something that will probably get a capsule/DX release down the line.

Yeah, managed to find it for $30, which is more than I was expecting it to be, especially since I didn't realize it still had sounds, which was a nice surprise at least.

Will have to pick it up at some point, but I can't say it's a priority unless it ends up getting really hard to find or something. $30 is a lot for something like that, at least to me.

They restocked the Genesis Driver, Sonic Arrow and Bujin Gaim set at least twice. Once, at the regular price from people who didn't pay / canceled (got one of each from here! :D), and the second time they raised their prices.

I haven't seen (emphasis on seen, doesn't mean it didn't happen) restocks for the Legend Lockseed sets yet, and am waiting for Cherry Energy to restock. I need them to reopen preorders for SG set 6, also, need those Rider Lockseeds...

While getting Bravo would be cool, I'm not really pumped about him. Even if he wasn't online exclusive he would cost like, 8000 yen on the aftermarket. :(

It's not just probable, we know there's a gashapon Durian coming in March and the DX version coming in a set was just announced today (although middleman fees might make it pricey).

But yeah, the gashapon lock seeds are great if you don't plan on buying the belt and just want something fun to play around with. They don't have the LED's but you can activate the henshin/catchphrase sounds much easier than you can with the DX variants.

Cannot wait for that fabulous Bravo action! :D

I saw the Genesis Driver restock. Though by the time I checked, it had sold out again. I've got all the DX lock seeds I don't have registered on figinstock. None of them have restocked since I added them. I expect not to see any restocks until March.

And the rider lock seeds aren't enough for me to buy a whole case. I'll just get them from CSToys along with whichever gashapons are out that I need.

I spent a good five minutes trying to figure out how AC Bravo transforms, only to realise it's a CGI render. But yet it's still full of hinges, but seems to lose parts when transforming?

Super, hyper pissed it and the DX Donguri/Durian lock seeds are premium Bandai exclusives. Especially since they're not even that jacked up in price, just not available to me. Anyone here able to help me out with those? I've never seen a PB exclusive show up on Mandarake.

They've been on manda before, just not super often. Set up some Fig In Stock alerts using the kanji. Some middlemen take orders for Premium items as well so there's that. I'm sure CSToys will have them at hiked prices.

That sucks. I'll just have to save my money and check Mandarake often. I might go CSToys. I've never used them, but they've got a good repuation.

If Bravo is around the price of the regular AC figures then I'll probably budge and pick him up, I hate to say it but with these AC figures it's pretty much get them now or risk having to get them later at the high aftermarket rates.

Plus after re-watching a few episodes I have a sudden urge to put Bravo in the Melon Arms armor

I want Bravo, but I'm not goign to keep buying ACs.

It's absurd. The appeal was that these were good quality gimmick figures at reasonable prices and easily available. Two of those three options have gone the way of the dodo, and the first is not enough when the Figuarts are on the horizon at prices I seriously was not expecting. (they're marginally more expensive then the AC figs at normal retail)

I guess I'm just more partial to the AC figures, don't get me wrong I love Figuarts figures and I have Gaim on preorder but I just have a soft spot for interchangeability in toys with the fruit armors.

Actually, to be honest, Figuarts have always been only marginally more expensive than the gimmick line. The gimmick line's main advantages are playability, and an earlier release. For example, Fourze gets more playable switches compared to the Figuarts' more fragile release and also was released months ahead.

After I lost a bunch of my AC accessories in the move (>_<) I feel a little down and out on the line. I don't exactly have buyers regret, I'm glad I'm not chasing ridiculously scalped ghosts right now, but I really don't know why I bought EVERYTHING released and after losing a load of accessories I'm quite happy to just not display the toys, rather than rebuying them.

The SHFs look really, really good but after buying like the whole AC line I can't really afford to replace it all with the SHF versions. I do plan on getting some of the Gaim SHFs down the line, but I only really want second representations of characters from the show I really love. And sadly I haven't really fallen in love with any one yet.

If anything, I think I'd be more inclined to buy SHFs of alternative arms changes, if they are ever released. I'd love to see a SHF Pine Arms that hopefully doesn't come with the weapon on a piece of string, making it impossible to display. Or maybe a Mango Baron, with an actual cloth cape, rather than the half finished transformation in the AC line. I'd buy that shit in a heartbeat, I don't really have need for the base forms.

But that soft spot crusted over hard when they started going for $50. Honestly, I'd never pay $30 for them.

Too me, it looks like the chest simply folds down with the outside of the durian facing the chest of the figure and the armor pieces simply being on the other side of the panel. The shoulder pads just hinge down and sit on the shoulders. It's pretty basic, and effective, even if it cheats.

Both the DX Durian Lockseed and the AC Bravo look fantastic.

Really want the former, but seeing as the latter is an exclusive anyways I rather just wait for the inevitable figuart.

Kurokage didnt do much special (his special moment came AFTER he lost the ability to transform. But I guess you've got those army of Kurokages.

What about that time when all the riders were fighting in the forest and Gridon hid behind a tree waiting for his opportunity to jump in? There was that time he lost to Ryugen, that time he was crushed by Baron, or the time he ambushed Zangetsu and then got beat up. Basically, you need a Gridon to get beat up by your other riders. He's the jobber of Gaim.

Plus who else will work in the tiny toy bakery display with Bravo? :P

Also is it just me or is Acorn Arms the opposite of Banana Arms, where almost no other AC rider works with that set up other than the rider it came with.

I watched the video review of AC Gridon, & ended less than impressed...
Gridon being the less interesting character of the show, not visually as cool as the others, + the fact that he's coming with his ride making him more expensive... I think I'm going to pass & wait for Shin Zangetsu to be my first AC.

He's basically Kamen Rider Scissors.

I'm still a bit confused as to why he seems to be called Ornac on the show, whereas everything else has called him Gridon >_>

His literal actual name is Gridon. Aesir thought it would make more sense to try and back translate the joke of his name. Gridon gets his powers from a Dunguri lockseed, Donguri in English is Acorn. So since his seed is Donguri Hasse thought it would be funny to go with calling him Gridon which is Donguri more or less backwards.

Ornac is an attempt to make that joke more literal in English. Acorn - Ornac.

That's something I would expect from a Viz Manga or a videogame not subtitles. Its annoying when it pops up like that.

Ah I see. Yeah, I got the Ornac-Acorn bit, and part of me thought it may have had something to do with Aesir's subbing, didn't realize it was just Americanizing the Japanese pun.

Just a quick question for those with the different types of lock seeds, is it just me or are the Gashapon Lock Seeds louder than the Candy Toy/Bandage ones? Just curious cause I just got my lock seeds today and my banana gashapon one seems louder and clearer than my melon (bandage) and budou (candy).

And rather poorly, I might add, since they neglected to translate the entire joke that Kurokage translates to Blackshadow.

Basically the joke is Kurokage gave himself an awesome name and Gridon a shitty one, but Aesir didn't catch that. A TV-Nihon-style screen note would've been better. "Ornac" sounds awful.

The name is suppose to sound stupid. Gridon does not sound that stupid in English, Onarc does sound just as stupid as it's suppose to sound.
