This is the Leader Prime I've been waiting for ever since I got the CW Leader Megatron. I'll wait for the Takara version for some more paint but I'll definitely buy one.

The Dinobots excite me more though, can't wait for those guys!

just looked up a G1 still of orion pax in cartoon and he looks like him takara will be making it more like the show with paint as it is possible.

But, actual POTP stuff. Dinobots don't interest me, so I guess I can save some money for later on in the line. Those little Prime dudes, though... Considering how much I'm loving the Titan Masters, and how they have cool shells, I'll be grabbing all of those. I'll probably grab the legends (because Beachcomber is a hippy, and Slash is a raptor, and raptors are cool).

Since learning the leader gimmick for POTP, I was hoping that Primal would be Optimal Optimus and he is!

It's actually really clever how they've basically incorporated his three forms (ignoring Beast Machines) into the one toy. Base Primal himself looks pretty darn bad, but I'm still really excited for a new Optimal Optimus toy.

Another Third-Party figure skipped over for the official release.

I don't even think that he's bad looking necessarily, it's disappointing that he can't turn into a gorilla but a hoverboard instead, but I still like his robot mode a lot. And they incorporated the spark chamber as a cockpit for Titan Masters and these new Matrix thingies which is cool.

But yeah, this toy really shines as Optimal Optimus, in both modes shown so far. I really like this one, definite purchase.

I can already see the third party companies either making parts so it can turn into a gorilla or their own figure that can fit in Optimal Optimus. I would be upset at the hoverboard thing if it wasn't for transmetal Primal.

I'm not too crazy over it, mainly because I much prefer normal Primal over Optimal Optimus.

I got a knock off set of a 3rd party add-on that turns Evasion Prime from AOE into God Ginrai.
It's surprisingly good, especially for a KO (Though the chest piece could stay on a little better), still, though. I dig it.

I think it definitely could work for this model as well if Takaratomy decide to just swap the Orion Pax head with an Optimus-esque head and readjust a few details with the paint. :rock:

The Star Wars Transformers are back by the way, with an all-new figure to boot. I'm kinda digging it.

Well, it looks quite awesome, unlike the turds that came before. Reading up on it the old Star Wars Transformers were done by the remaining guys behind the Titanium-series, not Hasbro/Takara themselves, so this is the first time they're actually doing legit Star Wars Transformers. Sweet!

Saw half of the first season of Transformers Prime. I've been missing out!

While I do like some of the old ones that would explain how the hell the Death Star Darth Vader was a fucking shell former when we have stuff like Unicron and Primus.

It is what the live action films should have been but will never be. It was the best Transformers show ever down to the epilogue.

And Prime's first season is pretty good. Second and Third are just kind of average.

Transformers Prime is very enjoyable but also heavily flawed.

You can really tell when the money started to run out in the second season.


Hasbro weirdly considers this series to be in-canon with the "War for Cybertron/ Fall of Cybertron" video games, which doesn't really work but whatever.

As a fan of the show I'm curious what you didn't like about it.

Speaking of Prime, watching the end of the last episode right now.

A HUGE chunk of the second season and even a good part of the 3rd are spent on these long "Fetch-Quests" that really don't amount to much. It gets into a really predictable routine of "Hey, let's go find The Thing/Oh no, now bad guys have The Thing" VERY quickly.

Plus the second season is marred by TWO clip-show episodes; a concept mostly rendered extinct in other media.

Finally, the cast sports a number of impressive actors- which is good because it helps round out things but bad because a financially-challenged show can't afford to keep that many people around full-time. So lots of characters drop in & out with abridged arcs.

While I think the storytelling could've used some polish, I DO think Prime had a great story concept along with some fantastic designs.

Remember when we got Dwayne Johnson as Cliffjumper? Then he didn't return for his role for the flashback episode. Kinda made me sad a bit.

I agree, the fetch quests were quite the fillers. Overall though I think it was great despite such flaws compared to the Bayformers.

I do, that was when they were pushing WFC to be a huge franchise.

Really digging the art for that upcoming Transformers cartoon.
