Why was the Sentai team that made up “Blitz” featured anyway? I read Saban had been wanting to use the core Dairanger team back in the original Saban era, so I get why they were featured.

I hope we have a space ninja sentai next because i'm tired of Youkais.

I found a knock off of Avenger from The Brave of Gold Goldran in a Tuesday Mournings.
|
I was think, PR would still be the mainstream if they were under Saban control from 2000 through today ?
|
Power Rangers is still a popular kids show.

Did Saban sell Power Rangers to Disney because they (he?) needed the money?

Saban didn't sell Power Rangers specifically. Disney bought out Fox Family, which included Power Rangers.

Saban was actually taken back on the purchase if I recall correctly. Apparently Saban Entertainment brand was a subdivision of the Fox Family Company, a former asset of the now defunct 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, and when Fox sold it to Disney, that included the Fox Family Network (ABC Family, now Freeform), Fox Kids, and Saban Entertainment, among other assets. Basically Saban had his company ripped from under him and sold to Disney. That's why in the 2000's we saw more independent production companies that signed exclusive deals with studios instead of starting up within a studio to prevent such a business transaction from occurring, at least until the owners decide to sell or go public.

Should in sentai have more realistic mechas ?

Power Rangers Turbo started after TMNT had finished the run.

So, random question.
If Takara made the Brave series, why is their rival Bandai able to release figures for them? |

I hope the next PR movie be more successful than the last one.
|
I bet PR 2017 would have done better at the box office if they didn't release it in March. You had the latest F&F movie and Kong: Skull Island around that time.
|
It also would've probably done better at the box office if were actually a good movie.

It does however drag on too long and have too little actual action for my liking. And I'm still not a huge fan of the visual styling of... anything, except maybe Rita. |
It took the characterizations of the original cast and instead replaced them with generic YA novel/movie personas, I don't really see that as "taking risks" personally. It's honestly the point that I can't even see them as different takes on the original cast and instead see them as entirely separate (bland) characters. Whether or not that's good or bad is up to the individual, I guess. The comics do it way better, thankfully.

PR 17 turned the Rangers into can't catch a break losers which was a bad move. That I hated.
|
I like the PR 2017 movie over the original show, but that's not a high bar in my opinion.

I did enjoy the 2017 PR film as I do like John Hughes films, and it was very derivative of his works. But I did have problems with it. I did not care for the designs of the suits or the zords. I hate there was no proper transformation sequence. I did not care for the movie's take on Goldar. The morphers served no purpose, which bothered me a bit, and made the toys pointless (which I am glad I never picked it up). And there should have been at least one in-suit fight scene earlier in the film. Other than that the acting was decent, the directing was good. And it had a compelling story. And it had teenagers with attitude fighting an alien being. And I did enjoy the movie's take on Rita. I think if the film had a bit more nostalgic visuals it would have done extremely well at the box office. I mean just look at how successful Beauty and the Beast was that came out the same month. A virtual clone of the original visually speaking, and frankly a worst film compared to PR 2017, but the nostalgia hit hard with that film. It goes to show if you want to remake a popular brand you have to balance the amount of nostalgic factors with new elements. Being too far removed will alienate the establised fan base and gain very little new fans. Maybe it'll get a cult following though. Who knows.

I enjoyed a lot about PR 2017, most especially the characters; but everything about its aesthetic was inherently unappealing to me.
