I didn't realize Shin was up for preorder.

I like Chinese designs and my favorite color is green. It's impossible for me not to like Ryugen.

The sad reality for me is Ryugen is my favourite suit and by far my least favourite Gaim Rider (if speaking singularly), I hate the Energy Riders as a group.

Shin Preorders are already gone? I don't own any of the Gaim SHFs and I hate that suit but god damn that figure looks GREAT.

I went ahead and pre ordered Shin Zangetsu.

I wasn't going to get any of the Energy Riders but seeing how well the sample came out made me decide to jump on him.

Now I'm hemming and hawing at the idea of getting Gridon to buff out my order a little...

Gridon and Bravo are the only Gaim Riders I have on preorder. Hoping to try my luck and pick up Gaim and Baron physically once they hit next month.

Marika and Duke are truthfully the only Energy Riders I really want. Shin Zangetsu is nice but not an immediate priority if I can get the standard version.

Is there anywhere to still order Zangetsu Shin?

I'd get Shin Zangestu too, but he doesn't feel as unique compare to his original form since every energy rider and now Baron has that bow weapon.

Yeah, the asymmetry of Shin is cool and all but the original was a thing of beauty.

I'm pretty much all in for Gaim figuarts. It's going to hurt though.

I don't think I'll go all in for the Gaim ones. The only ones I consider a must need are Gaim, Baron, Ryugen, and one of the Zangetsus (I'd prefer Shin). If they come out with Marika, she'll be one and if we get a Kachidoki arms I'll be over it like bees on honey. Everybody else though I could probably wait for.

I will eventually get all of Gaim SHF wise, but I want to get all the Lockseeds first. Priority wise Gaim Orange, Baron Banana, Ryugen Budou, and Zangetsu Melon I will get. Aside from Gridon Donguri and maybe Kurokage Matsubokkuri, the exclusives can wait. Im still not sure if I want Bravo. I really dont like him enough to justify it.

I want to say it's because of the new style he's being done in. The super proportional more human look. I'm not sure that Black and RX were done in this manner. He's also the first and only figuart so far to use the peg wrists. Given that Hibiki was advertised in the style, I can only assume he will have peg wrists and fancy box also. That is, unless those peg wrists were complained about enough.

The Gaim riders still have the ball jointed wrists, so I'll say they're not in the new style.

My mistake. It's early and I was looking at the official photos and swear I saw the seams that were on the ball jointed wrists.

Even better, because I really wanted fancy boxes for Gaim figuarts.

Edit: Hmm....the pics for Gridon and Bravo most definitely have the old wrists. While Ryugen very clearly has peg wrists. What's the deal with that? All the other riders I can't tell exactly as they weren't photographed with exposed enough wrists. Unless of course they're somehow making a hybrid of the two styles with the ball hinge joint, but that part pegs into the arm. I'd like that.

Oh that's right, the others do... I remember that being brought up before now. I was using Ryugen, Gaim, and Baron as a reference before replying. But I didn't think of looking at the exclusives.

Yeah I really want to know what's going on with these. Maybe Bandai really put a lot into the development of the wrist system change and wants to ensure making their money back by only placing it in the retail releases until it becomes worthwhile to have them in the exclusives. Of course, after saying it out loud, it does sound unlikely to me.

I'm debating getting Figma Siren to go along with my S.H.Figuarts Ryuki riders, at least as a placeholder. Because I don't know when the hell she's getting released in S.H. form and it's weird having every Rider but her.

Same here. I mean I know they have a tendency to fall apart, but as a static display piece, how bad can it be?

It's a sad day for me, I sadly had to cancel my Hibiki pre-order just cause my grandfather said that would be the only way he would even consider letting me get another model railway locomotive. :cry

I've heard Figma wrists are kinda flimsy, but I love that smooth hand swapping and little rack. I dunno how much more sturdy SHF wrists actually are, and I still don't think it'll ever be worth how frustrating some hand swapping can be with Figuarts.

Doesn't look like it to me. The old style wrists were two pieces split at the middle and held together by a pin. Ryugen is molded around the joint ring.

It does look like Ryugen may indeed have the new wrist system while the other two have the one of old. If that's the case, why give them the older ball jointed ones and let Ryugen (and presumably Gaim, Baron, and Zangetsu) the newer style?

This is the kind of discussion that led to all the confusion and then anger when TaToBa first came out because all his promo pics and display figures originally used the more common diecast feet at the time, instead of the awful plastic ones he ultimately had.

Wait until Gaim and Baron are out or at the very least production samples are available, and the trend those two follow is almost certainly the same one you'll see with the other Armored Riders, exclusive or retail.

So last week, I was stressing over my figuarts kabuto and stronger being lost in the post because very other thing I ordered arrived on time but oddly the beetle riders were delayed.

Today though Stronger showed up almost a month after it was shipped! So now I'm hoping that Kabuto will arrive shortly too. With that I've now completed all available showa riders : DDDD bring on ZO and J! Though back on shipping, anyone in the uK have the problem where the tracking information never appeared for when the packaged reached the country? That's why I was so worried because the tracking for Stronger didn't update past leaving Tokyo,

I also had a shocker combatman with stronger and was wondering how many people here have troop builded the mook figuarts?

On topic with the wrists thing, so are they similar to what figma wrists are like atm? Doesn't that mean there's less articulation?

I hope TaToBa gets remade, I really want Eiji in my collection, the SICs are super expensive and if Birth is the best of a bad bunch then TaToBa must be total shit.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Was just speculating because I like boxes and really they could go either way with the Gaim Riders. Or some combination, so we'll get our answers in a little under a month.

TaToBa got release back in 2011. I think it will be a while before they renewal the post-2010 stuff. I think the riders figuarts from 2008 - 2010 have a bigger chance on getting renewal first.
