Whoops. I overestimated. I double-checked a couple of older orders and it's closer to between ¥1,300 and ¥1,500 for a single SHF. My bad.

There is that little in it between EMS and SAL to the states? In the UK EMS is basically double the cost of SAL, at least in my experiences, which is why I always go SAL.

With a single SHF, yup. DHL sometimes falls into that range, too. EMS to the UK sounds insane.

I rarely go EMS, it's stupid expensive. But oh my frack is it fast. I accidentally chose EMS on a figuart from amiami and it arrived to the UK within a few days.

Which is a real shame that it's so expensive, but is worth it for tracking and speed imo. But I can be pretty patient when it comes to packages so registered SAL is how I usually roll.

What?? Not at all. SAL is usually half of EMS for a single figure, just like Locke said, even to the US. Only with larger orders does EMS ever really become worth it.

Um, no. I checked the emails from Mandarake. The most expensive SAL shipping I paid for a single Figuart was ¥1,180, I have EMS single Figuarts as low as ¥1,460. So not quite as close as I estimated, but not double.

So Manadarake has Kamen Rider Joker for 5,000 yen like I said in my last post. This is my first time ever dealing with them, should I just pull the trigger for him?

If you want him, go for it. There's no reason not to buy from Mandarake.

So you're comparing the highest to the lowest... That's not exactly a fair comparison at all. (Also never seen EMS that low anywhere else.)

There isn't that much or size weight difference in single SHF figures. The split is less than a few hundred Yen either way for anything I've ever purchased. Only going from very least on SAL to maximum EMS do I approach anything near double cost.

AmiAmi doesn't like canceling order, but if your nice enough about it they'll do it, but just don't go saying "I pre-ordered from BBTS instead"

Frankly, AmiAmi has no say in the matter. If someone wants to cancel their order, it is their right to. They might not like it, but I'm sure they would hate to have someone put a claim on them for charging a card without permission to a bank or something.

Frankly they do have a say.

If someone places an order with them then they should know full well that it isn't regularly accepted by Amiami to cancel one. And it is more than within their rights to ban the account over it. They accept excuses for cancellations on occasion but it's also stated in their rules that doing this multiple times may also result in a ban. It's best to just order something from them and keep the order in most cases.

I understand there are real situations where someone needs to cancel an order over monetary concerns and I've never known them to forcibly charge someone's account before just cancelling an order or something. And no they shouldn't do that anyway because it's ludicrous for any retailer to do so. But expecting them to cancel something on a whim is also not something people should be in the habit of.

If you're polite though they'll buy any excuse at least once ;)

They do. I said they don't forcibly charge someones account. I've never heard of them doing it at least. You get 7 days exactly and once it's beyond that the order is generally cancelled and the items relisted on their site. They do that rather than just running a charge across someone's account.

I got SHF Delta yesterday and is it a thing with Faiz Figuarts that the shoulderpads don't fold all the way down? I've had this issue with both Delta and Kaixa that they don't go completely flush against the arm.

I got Cyclone Joker eXtreme used on Ebay for $30 and I really like the figure. Other then his hands are tight to put in, he looks great and I'm almost done with my W main form line up.

The Kikaider and Hakaider are cool, but I have never seen the show, and they are web exclusives, so I just cannot justify buying them.
