Oh I can definitely justify....just irked they are exclusives..
|
I've never seen the show, only the anime for Kikaider but I cannot pass up the opportunity to get a Kikaider figuart!
Hakaider...if I hadn't seen the new movie version I would probably lap this guy up, but his body armour looks quite plain in comparison. The rest of him looks great though, just a shame that the original design had the upper part be so plain. |

A little bit annoyed with Mandrake, mostly annoyed with myself.
I've been using Mandrake for what like...two years? In my entire time doing that I've never had them cancel an item on me so I've never bothered clicking the 'cancel the order if it is out of stock' button. But the other day I made an order of three things, the most expensive thing was out of stock and so they trimmed my order down to just the two. I wanted the order to have all three things specifically, I did that on purpose largely to save money on postage as that is where the cost really piles for me as a collector and as it turned out one item was out of stock I asked if they could cancel my whole order for me. To which they told me it wouldn't be possible, as I didn't click 'cancel this order if it's out of stock' for every item? That seems like a pretty unfair policy, that they're allowed to keep sold items on their page and cancel it on you but you aren't allowed to do that the other way round. I mean I get it, it was my fault, I should have ticked that box as a contingency etc but still it really sucks if you ask me. Because now I'm forced to pay more proportionality for an incomplete order. |
I don't think they keep sold out items on the webpage on purpose. I admit they probably should have some system in place to remove them if someone puts an online order in, but it's just as possible someone bought the item in person at the store in question before an employee was able to put the item aside for you.
|
They do if you order it before they see the other guy's order.

its funny, kikaider movie comes out, we get figuarts of the old 70's show. yet when the cyborg 009 movie came out, all we got was movie version of 009 and not the classic anime version, or any of the other cyborgs.
|
Oh man, I'm all over Hakaider and Kikaider. I really hope we get movie designs too, but I'll take these since they're the best representation either has had.
I have no super strong attachment to the series, but I love Hakaider's design and would love to put these with Riders 1, 2, and V3 to start a shrine of Ishinimori worship. |

I certainly agree with you that complaining about you wanting to cancel your order is a bit dodgy. They assume that you want everything they have that you ordered, and you have to go out of your way to indicate you want all or nothing. |
Huh... Been a while since I remembered to get an updated version of this.
|
Imperer arrived yesterday. Similar to Scissors, not loaded with accessories, stand still thrown in (yay). The shoulder pads, which wrap around the upper arms, hinder shoulder posability a bit; his neck seems way more posable (or, at least, easier to move right off the bat) than other Figuarts.
The other six pictured arrived last week from AmiAmi but I'm just getting to them now. Outside of some loose feet on Groundain and a loose left hip on Scorpion Zodiarts, all are pretty fun. I thought I had ordered the Ixa w/o the stand, but I ended up with the version that does come with it, to my pleasant surprise. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...psqpgtbrsn.jpg |

I guess that is the cost of getting items for the prices they offer. I don't think any of us ordering like it but I, for one, understand how it happens and that they have stores to run. I've never had an item canceled but I do always click the cancel order thing if something does happen to be out of stock. |
It looks like Kamen Rider Gaim Jinba Lemon Arms is confirmed! Unfortunately it's a Tamashii Exclusive. It's going up for preorder on may 12th for 4,860 yen.
I am glad to see it looks like they went with swappable armor plates this time. I understood not making armor swappable for the S.H. Figuarts, but I didn't think Bandai would be nice enough to do this given their past track record. http://i61.tinypic.com/1zyv6ty.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/1hw8lt.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/122p9tx.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/28tizhe.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/9bchvt.jpg http://i58.tinypic.com/w7l8hw.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/2rddk6w.jpg http://i62.tinypic.com/2yty5fk.jpg |
Jinba Gaim looks amazing!! Love how detailed those lockseeds are. It's unfortunate that he is a Tamashii Exclusive though that won't stop me from getting him. Wonder if they'll do the Energy Riders and Gaim's other power-ups.
|
I want a Baron Mango arms.
|
Wow, they managed to make the raiment pieces look less bulky then they do in the show.
|
Perusing AmiAmi and I just realized the Shocker Combatmen was getting a rerelease.
|
That's cool, but he's not particularly hard to find, he pops up on mandarake a lot but it's still cool, I'd love for them to rerelease the three pack, it would be so convenient!
In fact I wish they'd do that more often with all the mooks. I understand some may just want one of each figure but I'm sure there are also loads of folk who want armies for their riders to fight. |
Hell if someone wants a Combatman then by all means buy the extra sealed one I have for $30 :lol
|
Question for those who have Shadowmoon, is there any way to use his double jointed elbows without damaging the silver bands by the elbows? I'm worried leaving him in a pose with the elbow bent far enough will end up leaving a permanent mark.

Why did I wait so long to get Alternative Zero? At first, I wasn't too fond of the design but after getting the Figuarts, I appreciate his design so much more. He looks especially great in dark lightning, which helps with his shadow-y appearance.
Now all I need to complete my S.H.Figuarts Ryuki line is Ryuki Survive and Magnugiga. I always see Magnugiga listed on Mandarake for 8000 yen. Pretty steep price, but I'm expecting a hefty check in the mail and it's better than the prices on eBay and Amazon. And Ryuki Survive is so easy to get hold of that I've honestly just been putting him off. Also, I know Alternative is coming out soon, but I've stared at the pictures and the only notable difference I can see between him and Zero is he's missing the silver 'V' on his helmet, and he doesn't have the prototype label alongside his body. Doesn't really seem all that worth it, being a Tamashii Web Exclusive. |

I wish he was a retail release. I don't know why they made him a exclusive despite it's one of his major forms in the show and Gaim is very popular.
|
Maybe it's because there's such a large number of riders? Though it is odd that they make a main form an exclusive, considering how often it's used on the show.
Though chances are its because Bandai wants your savings |
Simple reason. According to Bandai's sales for previous alternate form Figuarts released at mass retail, they don't sell as well. Which is why Most of Wizard's forms were exclusives.
Kachidoki Arms will most likely be a mass release, though. Since it was the mid-season upgrade form. |
All of W's, OOO's and Fourze's forms that were shown in the show were retail releases. I don't know why didn't sell that well? I guess Japanese collectors are nit picky on their forms. I like to collect the forums of the riders that I like. I bought Decade for finish up my line up despite me disliking the show.

Main riders sell much better cause it's the form that represents the series. |

never gonna switch them out but cool none the less. |
So what date this month when the Gaim figuarts come out?

ok...I am in love with the new Kabuto. Aside from the elbows popping off...and popping off...I love the rest. I am actually getting a new back ground tonight JUST to photograph him properly
