Remind me why Jellicent had damp as a hidden ability. Since Jellicent is both a water and ghost type (ghost being the focus here) wouldn't Jellicent be able to stop explosion and self-destruct by default? Which means damp is pretty much useless on it.

Both are true. Though it is useles in single battles which what we play the most often

I honestly don't see why anyone would run Damp over Water Absorb on a Pokemon that is immune in the first place even in double or triple battles.

Damp itself is useless. Nobody uses Selfdestruct or Explosion anymore since they nerfed them in 5th gen. Damp is only useful for catching Pokemon who will KO themselves preventing you from catching them(Especially shinies!)

I don't think it would. The problem it has is it's awful stat distribution.

If anyone has a Heracrossite and don't want it, I would love to get it.

Had to rebreed my Poliwags so that they can have encore. It was a little annoying but now it's going smoothly. After getting my Politoed I'll go for a Quagsire next. After that, Goodra (god help me with that).

Playing through Y and remembering just how pointless Mega Evolution really is.

It's cool, but the stat boosts and new abilities aren't anything to write home about.

There's also barely any to work towards. Only a half dozen or so Mega Stones are found during regular gameplay; the rest aren't available until postgame- which seems extra pointless to me.
