And although I don't believe in reinventing the wheel, given all the technological advances in the last fifteen years Pokémon seems to only just now be advancing. White and White 2 were a step in the right direction, the stories although primitive, made it feel more like an actual....game, and not just a repetitive loop of battle after battle. But I feel like Y is a step in the wrong direction, stripping all the story and complexity White and White 2 added and focusing entirely on advancing the visuals instead. If Y had the same gorgeous visuals, but attempted to build upon the depth, continuity and complexity W/W2 brought to the table, it may well have been a masterpeice but instead it just feels more like a showroom demo. |
I had another encounter with a trainer via street pass. This was funny when we were battling i was walking through walmart, i looked up and saw the guy i was battling giving me an awkward look then he closed hi's 3DS and walked away.

Gen 4 had a better story, I believe, but none of the Pokemon games have particularly good stories, really. |

EDIT: As for Lysandre. I feel he is one of the more interesting Pokémon Villians, since his motivations weren't just "I wanna rule the world, because I'm evil!" |
Oh yeah W/B's story sucked, but it had one, that is the point. This game was a step backwards, not forwards.

Is it weird to say that Clemont, Serena and Bonnie are my favorite Ash travel companions since Hoenn?
