I thought it had FANTASTIC fight dialogue, I loved all the little details like how the Rider would actually get out of breath and stuff, I was much more convinced by the dialogue in this show during the fights than when Neo-Saban has their actors shout over the footage. In many ways it's better than even Disney as it knew when silence was golden, and didn't feel the need to fill every second with dialogue even if it meant spouting terrible puns without any context. The show has a soundtrack, so I still don't get how 'no music' is a criticism of a show with actual music. And although yes, the show was straight Rider vs Rider with no real monsters of the week to fight it still chronicled the battle against an alien which threatened the whole of the Earth. So "no heroism" is a flat out lie. Quote:
Seriously dislike the show if you want, but don't just make up crap - that goes for both of the posts I quoted. Why do people want to hate the show so bad they just spout utter nonsense they would surely know has no base in reality if they actually watched the series? Decade 05. This is the last episode in Kiva's world? Wow this show ain't wasting any time. Not complaining really, this world had some good ides but it didn't really capitalise on their potential. So Wataru is kid sized when he first transforms, but in the next shot he is always adult sized? That kind of weird lack of continuity between scale really frustrates my brain. It isn't the first time toku has had kids growing into full sized heroes, but there is no animation or anything here. He just starts as kid sized and in the next cut he's just a bit shorter than Decade, but they are still practically the same height. The Kivat Bow thing he turns into is pretty sweet though. I love how the fight with Kaixa ends with him just walking off, you could say that whole fight was completely pointless but I say. WHY THE FUCK NOT. The fight in Castle Doran was a bit better, but considering how the castle is introduced I thought getting inside it would feel like a bigger deal but Tsukasa just appears in the corridor. WHY THE FUCK NOT. Also fuck yes, I love those double Rider kicks so much. The biggest disappointment actionwise went down to Yusuke. I actually like him a lot, he's the Kuuga I wish we got in the series as well but he fought the Vassals twice, lost twice and both times it happened off screen? This show has the budget to have Decade throw people out of buildings and drop down after them, or to create contextless fights against other series Riders but it couldn't spend money on doing some fight scenes for Kuuga on his own? Why is he here then? And yes, I know he's the emotional crux of the series as Tsukasa is some soulless moron but this wouldn't even be necessary if Tsukasa was a better character to begin with. |

Super-1 Episode 24: This episode felt like the beginning of Season 2 of Super-1 with the introduction of the new villains, new opening video of the series, and lots of new elements. I love Kazuya's new henshin pose it is a lot shorter. The dialogue cut out during that part so I don't know if he upgraded himself or not but it seems like he might have. The monster of the week looked ridiculous and his name was Killer Knife but the best part was when he was defeated and was like Damn it! The newest addition was that the kids who helped out Super-1 became the Junior Rider Squad and they seem like they are going to be a big part of the series moving forward. Normally little kids bother me in these shows at times but they seem pretty smart so far. The four New Generals and the New Leader all look very intriguing I can't wait to see them in action. I have to say that because of these villains I am more excited to watch Super-1 more now than before. |

That was one of the most frustrating aspects to early Decade. There are so many instances in which transforming would have kept him out of trouble and actually allowed him to take on a threat, but the show loved to ignore the fact that he was freaking Kuuga.
The Blade episodes are the worst. He's being attacked by a monster and doesn't think to transform. |
It sounds pretty weird that the show forgets about the first Rider it introduces, that the whole opening arc is centred around.
|
Decade is one of those shows that you'll enjoy while you watch it, but then afterwards, you'll say to yourself "None of that made ANY sense."

Kabuto Episode 7
Getting straight to the action. I like this episode already. I do really question Zect though, I mean you would think they'd give the Zectroopers some sort of weapon upgrade. It's obvious they're no match for the Worms and if whatever rider they're using can't show up, then they pretty much screwed the pooch on whatever operation they're doing. So why not just upgrade their armor and weapons so that they can at least stand a chance against Worms before they clock up? Or just take the Smart Brain approach and make belts and suits for them to use similar to the Riotroopers? I do not understand this company from a logical military standpoint. On the upside though...Bee is here and his suit is as awesome as it looks in toy form. I'm not the biggest fan of how the Masked Forms look, but I'm digging the one TheBee has. Looks pretty nifty. Though if he has a Wasp Zector, why is he called TheBee and not TheWasp (And why is it Kamen Rider TheBee and not just Kamen Rider Bee)? Curious to see how the henshin works since the Zecotr is on his arm and not the belt. It does appear though that this Shadow does in fact have it's shit together. They went in there like an actual military force. And TheBee himself isn't too shabby, he did take all of the Worms out with just a few punches after all. Oh how I love the relationship between these two. They really do come off as brother and sister. :lol These two look like they'll get along justttttttttttttttttttttttttt fine. We now bring you to Iron Chef: Kamen Rider Edition! Wow Hiyori is all for trying to get Kagami fired isn't she? She really doesn't like him I suppose. Though to be fair I don't think she likes people as a whole. I take it Tendou has rarely ever lost in his life. Either that, or he was asking a legitimate question and Yaguruma took it as being a sore loser. Either way who cares, it was over tofu, and tofu is bleh. Why would the Worm attack a wedding in the first place? Was it sent down here to rob people of happiness by the Zangyack? It could be jealous though of all of the love people are receiving on a wedding day. Or it just has a pension for attacking churches when weddings are going on. It is only targeting those in white clothes? Why? I mean I know I'm not going to get an explanation, but I still can't but help wonder why it would only target those in white. So it's a henshin bracelet? Huh, that's a new one for Kamen Rider. Well in terms of transforming into your main base form. Curious though as to why it isn't a belt system for him (and going by the toys some of the other riders). That is probably something that will also not be explained. Those things have blade attachments? Huh, learn something new everyday. So basically Rider Sting is just a good old fashioned with a Rider Punch? Oh it is on like Donkey Kong now. Well I must say episode seven was quite the nice episode. The story was here, and wasn't half bad. It did a good job of introducing our new character in Yaguruma, and presenting the now present conflict of Kabuto not being needed in the eyes of Zect, and how he now has a rival in TheBee. This also ended up adding to the main overarching story of the show as it did introduce both a new important character as well as a new rider. So I'd say story wise this episode had it's shit together. Pretty much all of the reoccurring characters didn't get any development this episode. However I'll accept it since this episode had the task of introducing a new character. Yaguruma is quite the nice character IMO. He's sort of like a calmer and more zen version of Tendou, which of course makes him the perfect contrast and rival to Tendou who is a bit more vocal and not all that calm. The story did a good job of setting up who he is and some of his beliefs, both of which shine through his character. So while the episode wasn't heavy on development, it did have one sparkle of it which wasn't bad at all. And now we come to what has for all but a few hiccups been my favorite part of the show so far: the action. I found the action to be lacking in the last two episode, and it came back full force (insert Rider Chips here) in this one. The fight in the beginning between Zect, Shadow, and TheBee versus the Worms was done very well and showcased just how outclassed regular old Zectroopers are compared to those of Shadow, as well as showcase Bee's strengths. The fight at the end was pretty nice as well as it showed a real clash of styles in terms of fighting between Tendou and Yaguruma. Overall I thought the action kicked some real ass this episode. The episode as a whole had a real kick ass vibe to it. I don't know if it's because having to introduce a new rider meant that they had to throw so much into the three mean categories to get him over well, but whatever the cause this episode came out really well. It was entertaining and was good on a critical level. P.S. I love TheBee's suit. I think I like it just a tiny bit more then Kabuto's. |
Agito Episode 1
Let me guess, this kid just unlocked the door for all sorts of bad monsters and stuff to come onto the human world? Are the robot sounds needed for when he's moving his arms? The helmet I can sort of understand, but other movements using that sound effect seem rather cliche to me. He isn't a robot, he's just a man in a heavily armored suit. There is no need for that sound. Also is that really all the training for the day? Just catch a ball and shoot some down? It seems like there should have been a bit more to it. Like him trying to avoid the balls as they are shot at him in a rapid fashion, or trying to shoot down the balls in multiple directions while they're being shot at him (i.e. one coming from the front, one to the side, etc). Overall it seems like a pretty easy training session which should have had more to it. Not quite sure how you can tell that it is something ancient or not. But I digress. I will say though that it is smart of them to just hook it up to a computer to try and figure out the combination. It reminds me of what they did in Beetleborgs to get Flubber out of the organ for the second time after Wolfie put him back in there. It makes sense since it would take who knows how long to crack the code by human hand, which could result in utilizing a lot of workers which would equal having to use a lot of money. So this...company for lack of a better term (not really sure what else to call them for now) is acting quite smart here. Did that man have his limbs stuffed into different parts of the tree? Youch. Tendou he is not I assume? Not sure who this Mana girl is (I already know Shouchi is Agito since I've seen the OP video and henshin videos before), but scene here with Shouchi is fairly nice. Taking in the fact that Shouchi has amnesia (ever explained?), I do wonder if she knew him before he lost his memory or after he lost his memory. Regardless they seem fairly close judging by how they conversed. Not sure what to expect from them in terms of relationship, but it was a pretty nice scene, it once again having a very J-Drama feel to it which if you read any of my 555 reviews, you know I'm a sucker for Rider doing scenes like that. Nearly died, has miraculously gotten stronger...either Ryou is going to end up being a rider, or he's an Orphenoch like creature. Either way he has the right idea, the feeling of water is really relaxing. Okay I'm usually pretty good at figuring out the odd little customs in these shows from studying Japanese culture. But I'm lost after that scene. What exactly was that stick with the noose for? Oh my God what the hell was with that noise!? I have my sound set to how it usually is for watching rider (Youtube volume at max, laptop volume at 60) and noises aren't that loud. But that was freaking loud as hell. Whining noises like that surprisingly irritate me, I say surprisingly because I'm a fan of industrial bands like Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, KMFDM, Rammstein, and Merzbow. But damn was that just irritatingly loud. And how could a monster attack not only emit a noise like that, but have it carry out who knows how far out to where it effects Shouchi and Ryou? I'd ask why just them, but I know Shouchi will become Agito and I'm assuming at this point Ryou is Gills. Oh and what's with this monster and stuffing people into trees? Dude she just found her husband dead. Pretty sure she isn't going to be all that talkative for a while. And we're meeting late at night because...I don't know. I was told I had to play a victim of sorts so I guess we're meeting at night so I'll be extra vulnerable. GODDAMMIT NOT THIS NOISE AGAIN! Man this monster must really have a grudge against that family to take out every member of it. Speaking of the monster, it's not that great looking to me. Just a human sized leopard (at least I think it's suppose to be a leopard). Plus what's with that ring of light over it's head when it's attacking somebody? Now this is how a military/special ops like rider force should operate. Quick to deploy, equip, and move out on the mission. Zect and Smart Brain could take a few notes from SAUL. The henshin or equipping was pretty good and fits how a rider like G3 would turn into a rider. It's a little weird at first seeing the rider have the armor put on him by the help of somebody else, but considering this is a military force it does make sense. The suit isn't too bad either, though out of all the G3s it isn't my favorite (he'll pop up eventually). It has a real metal hero style to it, which is honestly why I like it and the other G3s so much as far as suits go. Probably not the best idea though to have it run on battery power. "I would, but I'm kinda getting my ass handed to me at the moment and I don't see an opportunity to escape." Hey look, the show's namesake showed up. The Agito suit...is not one of my favorite. I haven't liked it since I first saw the design when I was becoming a fan of the show (ironic considering I won an Agito figure), and while I've grown to like it a little bit, it still isn't that great looking to me. I think the back of the chest armor should have just been gold instead of black. It makes it look like part of the suit under the armor which gives off the illusion that the gold piece is just hanging on by a string. I'm not too big on the black shoulder pads either, but I'm a bit more forgiving of those since they have silver all around the edge of them too break up all of the black. I don't really like the head crest either. Well when it's normal I don't like it. When it's all flailed out it looks pretty cool. So yeah overall, not the biggest fan of the suit. So are all of the monsters in this show going to be cats? Well this is Agito huh? I haven't been too big on watching it for quite a while now due to not really enjoying the Agito suit, as well as the OP video. I only now decided to watch it due to warming up to the non G3 suits and hearing how it's like Faiz but not as technology based. After watching the first episode I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I dug it. There really isn't any story setup here to be frank. We kinda have a tease of it by what SAUL is said to do, but it's just a tease. The episode is devoid of introducing the story of the show. It kinda has an in episode story with the case of the bodies in the trees, but it's not focused on all that much due to having to introduce the characters. How are those characters? They're alright from what I saw. I'm already liking Hikawa as he seems like a pretty good guy who when it comes to his job won't take BS from anybody. I like his assistants, especially the girl. Shouchi comes off as a goofball, and since that's the only side we saw of him in the episode, it makes me assume that's how he is for the whole show. This isn't a bad thing per say, I love Shinji who is goofy, and there's a goofiness to Shotaro, Philip, and even Takumi. But Shouchi for now comes off like a complete and utter goofball, with no seriousness to him. As for Ryou, he was there. That's it. The rest of the characters were alright I guess. I don't find myself disliking any of them or thinking they are bad characters. As for action, it was decent for how much we got, which was barely any. Hikawa pretty much got squashed quickly, and once Shouchi showed up it became a full on squash. So right now I'm not impressed with the action. It doesn't come close to how good the combat in Kabuto and 555 have. So in the end, even though it was lacking in quite a few aspect, I actually got into the episode. It reminded me of Kuuga, but not as serialized as Kuuga is. I was entertained, never felt bored, and while it lacked a true story, the episode moved along pretty well for a first episode. It isn't the best one I've seen, but it's way better then Blade's first episode. Will I keep watching Agito? I'll watch up to five and then decide. But so far I'm enjoying it. |

Agito is very much like Kuuga and Faiz just different. It's my favorite series along with OOO. If you like the multiple storylines and parallels they do in Faiz then you'll like Agito. They do it great with their 3 Main Characters. Well they have lots of interesting characters and the mystery within Agito is long but very worth it. It's definitely more supernatural than Faiz. Shouichi is a goofball but he is a deep character and there is a lot to him. Hikawa gets more and more awesome throughout the series. Ryou is very awesome to me, he grows and evolves awesomely. If you ever saw Den-O, Mana is the girl who plays Naomi. Also when you get to Gills he is one of the best fighters of Kamen Rider. Also the Lords/Unknowns I was actually scared of them in the beginning. They are pretty good villains. Well I hope you enjoy it. |
Decade 06. "Treachery and onions are two of my favourite things!"
So this is Ryuki huh? Or at least a version of it. And man what a version! Kuuga's world made me enjoy a series I hated, Kiva's world had some interesting ideas but was much too brief to be truly appreciated but then this introduces the 'Kamen Rider Trial System' one of the most legitimately exciting and awesome ideas I've seen in Kamen Rider. A world where 12 people with any relation to a case are given a super powered set of armour, and the victor can judge the case in their favour? I'd happily watch a whole series around this idea! It has real fun with its ideas too like the fact that the system is so corrupt, under the right circumstances the murderer themselves could end up joining the Trial Battle, winning it and then sending someone innocent to jail to get away with murder. Kamen Rider Abyss always looked lovely in toy form, but I'm not sure I'm so sold with the suit in show. There is a cheap, lack of polish about the suit and although it has all those intricate details that make me love the Ryuki suits I'm not sure I ultimately like this suit as a whole as much as I did other suits in the show. It's so nice to be able to enjoy the Kiva suit and powers, without actually having to watch the series. Although it's a shame that no powers seem as strong as the Decade ones, which maybe makes sense in context, but kinda undermines the excitement of transforming into past Riders. So why does Yusuke know all about the Riders? I get that he is a Kamen Rider and he's fought monsters and stuff but he's certainly taken leaping from dimension to dimension, each populated with its own monsters and heroes very casually. I mean in the Kiva world, he directly integrated himself into the fabric of it...somehow... I mean as shitty as it is, Tsukasa has in story reasons for being so casual but Yusuke is just... It doesn't help that this episode literally made him irrelevant. From having a whole arc centred around him, to an arc where he was off screen for his most crucial moments to an arc where he is literally not needed at all. Fantastic. |

Watched Kamen Rider Wizard in Magic Land for the first time since I saw it in the cinema back in august. It is still incredibly boring and uneventful. Except for the one off joke about fishing mayonnaise and one or two of the action scenes there was nothing in this movie that grabbed me.
Its not a bad movie but it is definitely not a good movie. its just boring. |
Is it as bad as the ToQ/Gaim crossover?
|
Since I enjoyed the TQG/Gaim thing I dont know :lol
|
The ToQ crossover was fun as a whole, but it made Gaim look like an absolutely awful series.

Decade 07.
Wow the Battle Trial Ryuki Riders are pretty lame. I guess it makes sense for in story reasons but I was kinda excited to see what they'd do with those powers now they had an actual budget. Abyss probably gets off the best, as he's new, but I just really don't care about that suit or the character. But I don't think we were ever supposed care that much, as he was basically just a plot device. Shame really, considering he's a whole new Rider. So Ryuki just literally turns into his contract monster and gives Decade his Rider Kick? But doesn't Decade get that anyway if he turns into Ryuki? Well that was lame... Luckily the Trial Battle itself continues to be a deliciously thought out and imaginative set up for fighting. I am really sad it isn't its own show, it could have been really interesting. I'm sad to leave this world, but now we're seeing the effects of the world's combining I'm more than game for Blade World. Another show I didn't care for so I'm excited to see what they do, but considering Tsukasa has already beaten an Ace Undead with Ryuki Powers I dunno how they are gonna have any tension in the next story. Yusuke and Tsukasa's bromance actually makes me appreciate Tsukasa a lot more as a character than I necessarily did at the beginning. He's a lot more charismatic than the haters lead me to believe, and his wry humour reminds me a lot of Haruto and you all know I love him. |
I haven't actually gotten around to the movie yet, but the net movies I've watched (the first three according to TVN's numbering) have been pretty entertaining. The whole Kamen Deka Rider thing was ridiculous. Stronger with the shoulder holsters, that interrogation, Amazon in a jean vest and shorts... :lol

Kabuto Episode 8
Awwwwwwwwwwwww yeah! Starting out with a rider on rider battle! He had his gun slashed off of him. How does that equal a trip to the ER? So if somebody cooks something for you, you should cook something for them in return? I can totally get behind that logic to be honest. Makes sense that you in return for having a meal made (at home) by somebody other then yourself, you'd at least return the favor of cook that person a meal. It is a bit weird but I can dig it. Should they really be speaking about Worm and Shadow inside a hospital? Especially as loudly as they are when they're just walking down hallways? Somebody could hear them and for all they know, the Worm is in the hospital. If it hears them, the thing has instant meals to try and get. So it probably isn't all that smart to be speaking of such things out in the open. Why do I get the feeling Tendou and Hiyori are going to end up becoming a thing? Smoking kills you. Do you see that people? If you smoke you won't notice when monster appear around you and thus have the best opportunity to kill you. So basically it's the same as saying there's no I in team and friendship is magic and all that jazz? That is so not a white wedding. Damn this is one big church. This puts the super churches we have over here to shame I do believe. I mean come on, this one has a freaking fountain and a cafe in it. What other churches have that? Tendou...as a priest...:lolol "Bitch let's make this a quickie, I have tofu to make." Pissed off much Yaguruma? Even the Zectors fight? Coolio. Well tis was episode eight. Like episode seven, it was pretty darn good. It had a pretty decent story (though it didn't really add all that much to the main plot), some nice character interactions, and as always some pretty tight action. Another good episode right here. |
Well I made it up to episode 11 of Kabuto and I'm really enjoying it. Like maybe more than Gaim now.
Well so TheBee only appears for like 3 episodes? Does the suit appear again? Well Drake looks pretty good, but an interesting character? I don't know there could be more to talk about, but not now. |
Quote:
Drake is a very interesting character. _________________________________________________________________________ Super-1 Episode 25: Jin Dogma is definitely more menacing than Dogma was. This Magnet monster and Commander Onibi's plan was just deadly trying to force this Airline company to join them and if they didn't they would drag down planes out of the sky. It's great that the Junior Rider Squad is actually helpful to Kazuya and doesn't drag him down at all. Super-1 one was great with his plans and his power hands. Jin Dogma's monster actually feel that they have a shot against Super-1 more than Dogma's. |
Agito Episode 2
Don't you mean who the heck is that guy? Or is the what because of how he just delivered a single kick to a monster and killed it when you didn't seem to even faze it with your advanced weaponry? Pretty nice opening theme. Like the Kuuga one, I use to have a bit of disliking to it. But after listening to it a couple of times I really warmed up to it. Now I'd say that I quite enjoy it. Not the best theme I've ever heard, but it isn't terrible. Also I find it pretty damn funny how the opening video is pretty much all of them in a motorcycle race. Well it pretty much means that you guys didn't really test out the weapons that much to see if they would work against the unidentified enemy. Plus while the Scorpion is cool looking, it's a pistol. You'd need something like a shotgun for this type of situation firearm wise. After all, this is (well what I presume at least) a super powered demon. Pistols aren't going to do jack to it. "Whether or not that's good or bad is up to you." He's fighting a black letter shaped Pokemon? So they brought up Kuuga...okay knowing that little memo TV-Asahi made saying that it isn't really a sequel to Kuuga, and how fans are free to make of it as they so please, should I just treat it as Kuuga's sequel? Or are the connections between the two not that many in numbers? These two aren't on the best of terms are they? Wait, isn't this the trailer they deploy out in? Do they just sit around in it all day waiting for shit to happen? They seriously can't be given an office or anything? Anyways I do like how they're treating this like an actual case just like they did in Kuuga. Shows that while not the best force to handle these situations, the police and military aren't totally useless in tokusatsu...though that depends on the series. Some of them can be pure awesomeness. Is Mana fucking psychic or something? Seriously what the hell is with these guys and putting their victims in trees? This is not the tree from Sleepy Hollow guys! Can I just say that the professor's house is really cool looking? It's like a combination of your typical Japanese styled house and condos you see here in the states. It's like if the house from the Ju-On series was more pretty looking and more Americanized. I smell some weird ass mystical shit. Oh God not this shit again! This is going to be a reoccuring thing isn't it? Dammit Agito, you already have something that annoys me, and it isn't a character, lack of action, or story! It's this fucking annoying whining! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! You know I don't quite get something. If the monsters can stop the bullets telepathically and destroy them using telepathy as well, why not just turn the bullets around and send them at the person who fired? Probably get rid of that person quicker. Awwwwww yeah. I've seen reviews of G3's SHF and by far the coolest thing included is the Destroyer. And hot damn does it look even more kick ass in the show. It's like if somebody gave Ash from Evil Dead a suit of armor. All I have to say is bitchin. So the henshin is pretty much Kuuga's, except he has to hit the sides of the belt? Okay then. I do like the belt a bit more then Kuuga's. I really love that pointed circle theme it has going on. Anyways the henshin like Kuuga's is alright. Don't really get why he has to hit the sides of the belt though. His weapons come out of his belt Black RX style? Neato. A new form already? Huh, that was quick. You usually have to wait 5 to 10 episodes for a new form. Storm Form (rhyming is fun) is pretty nice looking. It still has the flaws though of the main suit as I've stated before, but I kinda dig this one more. Mostly because it's blue. The Storm Halberd is pretty wicked looking too. Come on Hikawa! Kick some monster ass! Why did that thing explode out of nowhere? I still don't get this halos of light. Bad Agito! Bad! Anyways that's episode two. Not too shabby of an episode to be honest with you all. There was a small little story here which was nice to see. Though I do put emphasis on the word small. It was mostly just about Hikawa trying to piece together what happened to the one family. I guess towards the second half a second story came in with the new family being picked off, but it didn't come off as important as the one involving Hikawa. As for adding to the main story, it introduced a new form for Agito, and that's pretty much the only important thing I noticed. As far as the characters go, nothing really developed as far they go in an individual sense. There was a bit of development of the relationship between Hikawa and that other cop, but other than that, development was kinda lacking here. I shouldn't really expect too much though since we're only two episodes in and they still have to establish who is who and what not. The action once again was decent, but not too impressive. It was nice to have a longer action scene than the one in the first episode, but it still doesn't have me going "Wow that was awesome!" The spear fighting was sort of cool, but it was pretty basic. Kinda sad I haven't seen Hikawa go full kick ass yet though on the enemies considering he has a huge freaking arsenal at his disposal. But I digress. Episode two was fairly average as far as rider episodes go. It's as good as the first episode, but they haven't left me as impressed other series have (and considering 555 episode 2 is one of the best rider episodes I've ever seen, seems odd that another episode 2 is so lackluster). Obviously it has my attention enough to where I'll keep watching for now, but it really needs to pull me in like other shows have done. If it doesn't, then I don't think Agito will be viewed past episode 5. |
The name drop of No. 4 is pretty much the only Kuuga reference in Agito. The idea that the two shows would be linked was dropped pretty early and whether or not you consider Agito to be a direct sequel to Kuuga or not really has no impact on your Agito experience.
|
Quote:
Yeah it would have been awesome if the two shows were connected and Yusuke and Ichijou teamed up with Shouichi and Hikawa would have been so much fun. |
I finished up the net movies for Wizard in Magic Land. Darned entertaining, the lot of them. Nice guest appearance by MagiMother. :lol
Not without some trepidation, I move on to the actual film now. |
Agito Episode 3
This is what happens when you make your suit powered by batteries. So does Shouchi black out when he turns into Agito? If so that's quite the different route to take with it. Though it could end up getting weird later on. I don't know, I guess I'll just have to see where it goes. I have to agree with what's his name here. If they can easily make the G3 suits, why not just mass produce them for that unit? They can have a small little squad/army of G3s that fight the Unknown similar to the Riotroopers and Zectroopers. It makes sense from the viewpoint of a force trying to win a fight against enemies that they need all the firepower then can get their hands on or create. That does bring up a good point. Why did Agito attack Hikawa? So Houjo is just bitter that Hikawa got picked for G3 instead of him? Well that would certainly explain the rivalry. First the bodies are in trees and now they're in dirt. Man the Unknown really have a weird way of disposing the bodies. And thus the police continue to actually work on this like an actual case. They're doing everything you would see a detective do on a case in a show like Law and Order, CSI, and all of that jazz. Once again it's very nice to see the police actually do something then just sit around while our buggy hero does all of the work. Shouchi does bring up a point. How does somebody with amnesia live? They can't remember anything about their past, so it does make it hard to think about how they'll live in the future. I'm quite curious to know if this mindset will play a fairly nice role within the series, as well as help develop Shouchi. Thank God this family has Shouchi :lol It's a bottle with a coin in it. How is that a big deal? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Why do I get the feeling that when this puzzle opens up, these guys are going to appear? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...2/Cenobite.jpg Well it seems that Shouchi has found a real challenge in the strength of his opponents. This should be interesting, especially since it's looking like this may be a two parter. The fuck are those things? Well with the third episode down, I'm getting closer to completing the first five and having to pass judgement if I'll continue to watch or not. So how was this episode? Meh. Whereas the first two had very little story but still had a small little something to hook the viewer's interest, this one I found to not really have one at all. Nothing really stood out as a story and the whole episode just seemed like random parts of a day stitched together. Because of that, it's easy to know that I'm going to say that the episode doesn't really add anything to the main plot. So as far as the story element goes, this episode pretty much failed. There was a bit of character development though, which is always welcome. It was mostly restricted to seeing Hojou get a little friendlier towards Hikawa, and Shouchi as a whole. We saw that Shouchi does have doubts about what he should do in life, which makes sense for the reasons I stated earlier. It is a little odd that he suddenly became happy again, but going by what he said, I'd assume realizing you have a spot somewhere would in fact make anyone happy, even if it's the spot of a maid. So while the episode lacked story, it definitely had some character development, and some pretty nice CD at that. Unfortunately that's the only aspect the episode accels at regarding the main three. The action was once again pretty dull and unimpressive. It was too short and didn't really amount to anything. I know I sound like I'm being rough, but action does play a good part in Kamen Rider. And considering the other Rider show I'm watching (Kabuto) has phenomenal action, and I recently finished up a series (555) with equally impressive action means that I'm going to expect just a bit more in the action aspects. So far Agito doesn't have me impressed, and this episode had the worst so far. So episode three while it had me entertained (the family failing at their chores is bloody hilarious), it isn't that great of an episode. It doesn't have a story, it had pretty bad action, and while it had some nice character development, that isn't enough to deem the episode good as well as carry it. Things aren't looking good for Agito. |

So I just watched the Wizard movie. It's nothing groundbreaking, but a fun watch if you're already a fan of Wizard. It's got a surpirising touch of darkness too, what with straight up showing the bones of all the people Sorceror kidnapped and killed, especially the kid's mother. I mean, you know it's all gonna get undone in the end, but damn. Not to mention how many people got phantomised offscreen while the final fight goes down.
Also watched the net movies. They were fun as usual, especially the ones where Misa completely fails to tell the difference between Wizard riders and other series Riders. Also, that seems to be a Power Rangers reference in the White Wizard one, saying that Magi Mother came back from New Zealand to be in the net movie. |
