Well Crystal Beasts and Neos decks actually did dominate for a little while.

Destiny Heroes not so much.:lol

I know Crystal Beasts had it's time in the spotlight because Rainbow Dragon was broken as fuck.
Don't remember Neos dominating.

To be fair, Cloudians and Crystal Beasts are underrated, while Neos was uncharted design space. That they learned from, if Gladiator Beasts are anything to go off of. I mean, imagine if the Neos fusions actually brought back Neos when they left the field? They might actually be, dare I say it? Decent.

Anyone here ever see RNK10YGO's Legacy of the Worthless? It's fun to watch, although, warning, the Worms episode is incredibly misleading.

...Also, Rainbow Dragon... broken? We're both talking about the stupid 4k beater with no protection, right? That existed in the same formats as Glad Beasts and Lightsworns in their prime?

I do, I remember people hated those decks for a time.

Although if memory serves they usually only focused on one version of Neos*usually the most broken at the time* and were quickly outpaced by both vanilla Heroes and Cyber Dragon decks.

Must of been Grand Neos that is the only one I remember of the easier fusions that had a good effect. I did wish the Mechlords were done better maybe like they were done in the show.

How can someone not like Arc-v? Its great once things get going and doesn't do the bonds of friendship bullshit that 5Ds did. Also can someone explain what caused the end of the world for the final villains of 5Ds please because every time I try to remember what happened I get confused from how stupid it was.

Yeah, actually the non-card arcs/stories were what drew me to Yu-Gi-Oh. I got hold of the manga first and I got hooked because of those non-card stories. I did read up to Yugi getting the Slifer card and then kinda stopped.

I was so pissed at how they portrayed the Nordic deck. Don't get me wrong, it was a great deck, but by the time I finally had a solid deck, the rules had changed and it was way too slow to accoplish anything. While I was building it I found myself really dominating the game, but then a few month's later I could barely make it past turn 3.

The anime though, made that out to be like the next coming of the God Cards.


The manga is fantastic, especially the memories arc that came after Battle City. It's a shame the anime screwed it up by making it still focus on the cards rather than the story. Despite there being more focus on cards, Takahashi made them feel like a natural progression in the story telling and that they were actually important and not a gimmick. The anime just turned the whole thing into a gimmick.

To keep things simple the final villains of 5d's backstory was basically confusing (like doctor who confusing) time travel

Only competitive Neos deck I know is Rainbow Neos Turbo. Which is freaking obscene, when it goes off.

In 5D's there's 5 Signers. But for some reason there's 6? When it was on CW 4Kids we never got to see Rua become the 6th. What's his symbol supposed to be?
