Flashman would be an awesome series to see subbed. So would Changeman, but that one already has soft subs for all but two episodes, so I'd much rather something that no one has really touched before.

If so, that is super rad. I'd definitely prefer a bulk distribution method for fansubs of older series.

I'm starting to appreciate the old Sentai series. Like Kakuranger and Flashranger, they're some masterpieces to me.

Flashman is such a great show for its era, not just because of the story itself. The idea that people are taken from their home and then return years later only to find it hostile to them was actually based in reality. That aspect of the series comes from what, at the time, was this huge influx of Japanese children who had been taken to China and Korea during the war 20-30 years prior and were now returning, only to find that Japan wasn't very receptive of them and that they were all essentially outsiders due to having grown up outside of their home country.


There is a lot of historical context for these older shows that often adds a pretty cool layer. It's one of those shows I would love to see subbed one day so other people can experience it.

As for the distribution, I don't know. I don't work in that department.

Gotcha. Still, if you have the lines translated and timed to DVD quality footage, it's not a leap to think we'll get batch releases!
