I still can't beleive Figma Ted is gonna be a thing. http://figsoku.net/blog-entry-14173.html Seems like it's gonna be packed in with the Blu Ray release of the movie...still, I wonder how this came to be? Like, is Ted a popular movie over there or something? Cause there's a lot of context I'm just not seeing right now. |
Well, at least I can now have Abyss toking up on a bong.

Ted was very popular in Japan. Kojima Haruna of AKB48 helped promote it and a fan club(yes, Ted had a fan club in Japan). Taka Tomy put out some toy vinyls. There were promotional gimmicks for Japanese Hotsprings with tie-ins to Ted. Kumamoto Prefecture's bear mascot 'met' Ted. That's just promotional stuff before and after the movie hit. The move itself was the largest opening for any R rated comedy in Japan ever. It stayed at the no. 1 for a full month, made the equivalent of 44 million USD, and is still the highest grossing comedy ever in Japan. |

It's pretty short and seems to have around 5 points of articulation. It'd be pretty crappy if he wasn't relatively cheap.

There is a lot of cool Little Armory stuff I wish I could get. This figure, more of the guns, the gun racks.
I did buy one of the hand sets, so I could have one of my figures, like Saber Zero use the guns, but I've had it sitting on my desk for months and never bothered to open it. :( |

I'm hoping they beefed up the grip for the Miyo's M4 when they made the damn thing one solid piece so it's easier to hold. |

I'm really hoping they put out some variant of the G36 down the line, or a full-size M16. I'm honestly surprised they haven't done that one yet, or a FAL/G3. The Type 64 was sort of a curveball... |
I've definitely been eying the SCAR (it's possible I do have it, but haven't assembled it). I also want the M32 grenade launcher, and after seeing this gun rack, I want a hole mess of pistols to fill up the top drawer with.

I'd be cool to have a lot of the Shepherds, actually. Though, I know most of them would never get made. |

Izaya just went up for pre-order on Amiami.
Skyward Sword Link is also getting a millionth re-release. |

What I DO find interesting, however, is that they've announced no less than five new Figma this month- 298 Gurlukovich Soldier, 299 Nico Yazawa, SP-072 Ninja Slayer Animation Ver., SP-073 Izaya, and 301 Izaya. They've skipped 300 for the time being... who wants to bet it's yet another Miku? |

I'd really like if they did an updated Saber Alter considering the press she's getting lately. Especially considering there's a Heavens Feel series around the corner. |
300 is Gilgamesh.

I don't get why they opened orders for Izaya, #301, before him though. We don't even have colored prototypes of Gil yet, but he's been proclaimed #300.

They look pretty good though I won't be getting them since I'm pretty happy with the SHF ones. |
Random release, but ok. They look nice, still prefer the figuarts though.
|
They look way better than the Mark VII ended up being. Better enough that I'm tempted, but yeah, I've got the Figuarts, so why would I bother with these?
|
I'm not sure if I prefer the Figma Archetypes or the Figuarts Bodies. At least the Archetypes are cheaper.
