I always had amazing luck with any water types that resembled shellfish.Also that bird type is the first flying type mix since gen 1 i think.Also has a move called Nitro Charge.

I want to see another Warp digivolution sequence with the Kanto Mega evolutions.

But yeah, your friend gives you a Kalos starter and the professor gives you a Kanto starter, according to reports.

Did they say WHEN the Professor gives you a Kanto Starter though?

Because back in HeartGold you could get Kanto & Hoenn starters after the Elite 4 battles. IF we have to wait that long again it'll be very disappointing.

I think they said at the start of the game.

if that is true then the will greatly affect what Gen VI starter I choose....just show the the final forms so I can have an easier time picking one. -_-

They never said specifically, but it was along the lines of 'in x and Y things are little different, you get one of the starter Pokemon from the Kalos region from your friend, and then professor sycamore gives you one of the original starters from red and green to take on your journey too.'

So yeah, sounds like it'll be near the start or second town along type thing =]

You get it after you get your new starter.You get the new starters from your friends,you get the originals from Sycamore when you get to Luminose.

But why? Why do you set 2 starters? Am I going to have 3 Starters in this Gen? Doesn't that ruin some of the dynamic?

Yellow had 4 starters, it's not exactly something new.

Gift Pokemon are common in a lot of the games; its just never really been Starters before at such an early point.

And sometimes an unexpected shakeup in the dynamic is just what a franchise needs to keep going. Just look at Gaim.

Sucks that Mega Charizard has increased Special Attack. Well sucks for my Jolly Bellyzard anyway. Maybe I'll just breed a new one using a Ditto if I don't get one with good IVs.

Nothing against Charizard,I just like having a team that has no starters in it.I want to beat the game without using the crutch they give you right away.Only time I'll need it is to catch Talonflame's first form,then I'm putting mine in the bank.

Guys, we are getting the X & Y 3DS XL in BOTH colors :D. Also, I'ma start with Torchic, then, Fennekin, then get Charmander. Fuck yeah, THREE fire starters :D.

Once i'm done with Pokemon Diamond i'm gonna play Battle revolution for the hell of it.

Gonna focus on getting X,but I wont be getting it for a while.No 3ds.:(

Also, I was reading through Serebii, and found something called Pokémon Bank. Apparently, you have to download it, and pay a 500Yen fee a year to store your Pokémon, and to transfer Pokémon between Generation V and Gen VI! Yay! :(

But it's a free trial until January i heard, by that point all of my old Pokemon will be on Gen 6... Good god my boxes will be filled really quick.

Nothing has been said about how it will be handled in NA.

I looked it up, it doesn't say anything about it being for only Europe and Japan.

And actually, it's only the Japanese release (not even the European one; I was wrong there) that we have any information on. Even then, it's not for a few months after the release of X and Y - in December.

Just because they'll be getting a free trial (for just one month, not several) doesn't mean anything for the rest of the world.

I still hope the Cloud Bank is optional for inter-game transfers.

Between copies of X and Y, I doubt it will be.

From Gen 5 games, though... It's my fear it will be, seeing as PokeTransfer comes with Bank.

Anyway...

I imagine the fee for Pokebank will be Japan only. My only reasoning of this is that they also have to pay for MH3 online whereas the 'west' doesn't. Even if we do, $\£5 for a year isn't exactly gonna break the bank, even a 6 year old could manage that...

Finally... Can we has release now please? I have plenty of other games I need to beat first but still, I'd rather be (and definitely will be for ones I don't finish) playing this over them. Definitely my most anticipated game. Now back under my rock, especially with corocoro/pokemon smash news on the horizon.

I'm only playing Pokemon Diamond and Gates to infinity to kill time for this game.
