alright i was thinking about using warhammer paints and i havent aapplyed the stickers on build strike yet cause i wanted to paint them on

Excellent choice. Say what you will, they're actually good quality paints. One could also thin down some grey and run it into the panel lines, if that's to your tastem

It has an internal frame, but like the Age 1, the internal frame is a bit on the simplified side of the spectrum.

well im not good a paint as i remembered today but i am going some hwere with this due to i want to paint the areas where the sticker should go but at the same time add my on twist. the first pic was a simple but good take

It's a good start and it's wonderful that you're keeping with the spirit of the showing and giving it your own flair. I don't own the kit yet, but looking at the manual and info page at Dalong's, I have a few thoughts:

If you disassemble the shoulder pads, you can clean up the excess yellow paint surrounding the groove. This way you save your hard work.

If you do want to strip the silver paint, a good solvent to use is Windex or any of its analogs. let it soak over night and then use an old toothbrush to remove the paint. It won't eat away at the plastic like actual paint strippers will.

Additionally, it might be easier to disassemble the shield and paint the white piece silver when separated. Thin the silver with a little bit of water and apply several thinner coats of silver and that should help keep the paint from "clumping" up as much.

If you dip a cotton swab in some rubbing alcohol, squeeze off the excess, it should do nicely when cleaning the white part of the shoulder pad.

Isopropyl Acohol breaks down the acrylics real well, it's great for clean up work. Unfortunately it will ruin some acrilyc paints when used as a solvent.

Build Fighters 6, that was one awesome fight!

And we come across the Mk II, I'll wait to see it in movement, but I don't think it's as cool as some of the other Gunpla we've seen.

Damn the Mark II is a beast. Love the design, such a sharp crisp suit. Really looking forward to seeing it in action.

Really hoping Reiji sticks with the Mk II and Sei can pilot the Build Strike from here on out,or Reiji gives him lessons on how to.Would be cool to see the final fight be Reiji vs Sei.

Another week has come, and with it another episode of Build Fighters. It wasn't the most weighty of episodes, but it did provide us with plenty of love for Gundam X. The fight, ridiculous premise aside, was to brief for my liking. I know it's still rather early for multi episode engagements, but I still feel that the drama could have been played up. Rinko continued with the starry eyed looks and, thankfully, her fan service moments were kept to a minimum. I keep getting surprised by how much gunpla means to this world. It can be used to settle disputes and pick up women. The question is more 'what can't gunpla do?'
Oh, and dark kampfer and black trench coats.

Did this episode just reenact 08th MS Team's finale with the GM Sniper replaced by Gundam X? I love this show :lol

Wow. Simply put, my inner gunpla giddy has been initiated. Not only was the Master Grade Gundam X shown in glorious color, but the announcement of the MG Turn X, HG Turn A, HG Wing Zero, the reveal of the next permutation of the Build Strike, expansion of the MG Build Fighters line, the HG Qubeley Papillon (get out sexy re-design), RG Exia, and the Kshatriya Repair are making 2014 seem like a pretty great year for gunpla.

Seriously, we're getting a MG Turn X and MG Gundam X in the same year. Unbelievably ridiculous. :lolol

I'll have to fix the ankle guards on the Blue Destiny (they keep splitting) and paint the bar on the top of the shield grey, then do a top coat afterwards. These straight builds were fun. Next, I'm going to finally start building a MG AGE-1 Normal that's been sitting around here for a while.

both are great kits there that you built, i've built both and I love them, i need the blue destiny 2 and 3

I've missed out on some great kits like the three Blue Destiny units. Which reminds me that I need to pick up the EZ8. These 1/144 scale high grades are getting better and better, I'm beginning to anticipate my next build though. It might be time to upgrade to an airbrush.

Nice, I upgraded awhile ago myself and now I wonder how I ever lived without it! An aibrush is definitely a lot cleaner than spray cans.

my work in progress build strike is now in its hanger. my dog decide to chew the build strike back pack ship unit to near un repairable so now i need to get a new back pack unit

With what's easily available and cost effective, I was thinking the Badger 105 Patriot. I have a cheapo siphon fed brush, but it's seen better days. It's a hassle to clean between colors and it doesn't give you much control over the width or air pressure. On the plus side, I had saved several of my older kits that are broken for whatever reason. Plenty of plastic to practice pneumatic painting proficiencies upon.

I opted for the dark hound to represent the age 2 on my shelf, like you, I need to pick up the age 3 and fx. I actually adore the design of the 3 and its wears. I"m tempted to purchase the three.

Sorry to hear that, that rather sucks. Luckily, it's available separately so you don't havev to purchase an entire kit to replace the backpack.

I stopped by the store and picked up the Badger 105 after I left work on Thursday. I'm covered on the compressor end of things, I own a 2 gallon compressor a while back. It usually ends up being used for maintenance and random tire inflations, but it has enough control in the regulator to limit the PSI's to Badger's specs. Honestly, if it weren't for the noise levels, I would be in the garage right now practicing (it's about midnight now and the mrs is sleeping). I would, however, like one that's quieter and has less of a physical footprint.

I'll have to make time to get used to the new brush.

I'm slowly starting to get the hang of the brush myself, it's very easy to just pick up and use.

Once you start using it though, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

The one that I got is still kinda loud, but not loud enough that I can't have music or a video playing in the background while I'm working.

The dead quiet high efficiency ones tend to cost an arm and a leg.
