Sorry, I don't mean to be glib, but from my knowledge of the TF fandom, hoping for exclusives to get a normal release over here is wishful thinking. But, then again, Psycho Blue got picked up by Forbidden Planet, so who knows?

I think I'm done with this series. Between missing paint, inconsistent accessories and the frequency of slightly different re-releases, I'm just not enjoying collecting it. Hopefully I can make something back selling off my collection. I'll post a list of everything I have within the next few days.

Hasbro is notorious for mold re-use and releasing slightly tweaked versions of characters. It's what they do and have always done.

I like the Goldar redo. Looks like a good figure and they realized they messed up the armor on the first release with that awful plastic.

What I am upset about is the lack of knowing what is to come. It is really odd that wave 6 took this long to announce and then we are getting it in a month. I wonder if this is a result of covid complications or just how Hasbro wants to handle this line now. Also, of course.... I want new monsters!!! Goldar is a nice variant, but I REALLY want a Rito!

Same. It feels like the quality keeps dipping slowly, at this rate the only reason to keep buying them was for the sweet artwork and that's it.

I'm cautiously optimistic for these upcoming Dino Fury/Ryousoulger LC figures. Absolute worse case is Hasbro leaves the changer and the whole of the back unpainted?

I do wish they would finish the Time Force team. That's the only series I care to have. I probably wouldn't mind if they released a team box set if it included giant combing guns

I don't really get the catastrophising? There's an undeniable dip in quality lately and a few things in particular do stand out, but they're still far from bad and this wave in particular looks excellent aside from the actor faces which were never good to begin with. DT White's visor is pretty inexcusable but it's the only major flaw in this entire line that comes to mind.

DT White isn't the only bad of the bunch anymore if the Green Ranger we saw is legit.

Which would make two, but the only issue there is the missing white diamond... inside his armour, as such a detail that's usually out of sight. That's hardly anywhere near as bad as a crucial element of a ranger's helmet design missing making it look completely unlike the character at all. As a missing detail it sucks, and I think would be fair to say there's no excuse for it... but I also don't see how it destroys the figure's look or makes the line that bad. If the leak of MMPR Green we saw is accurate, I honestly think he looks amazing.

If an out-of-sight undersuit detail is the worst it gets, I think this 20$ line is pretty good.

I agree. Yes, we've had some screw ups lately, but they by no means ruin the entire line. We've had plenty of great figures, even recently: Ranger Slayer is a fantastic figure! Heck, despite 3 of the the 4 figures in the new Wave being remolds, I'd say they're making up for it by giving us more accessories than what we normally get.

And that's not even getting into the many, many, many great figures this line has had so far. The entirety of Wave 1, Blaze, Drakkon, etc. Could the figures improve, especially given the recent G.I. Joe line? Absolutely, but they aren't by any means terrible or ruined. Atleast not as of yet.

Can't say for others, but considering that I live in a different country with different currencies, these figures costs about 100 bucks, usually they sell it for 120 bucks at cheapest. If the figure is good I'll buy it again, but for now, I'm holding off for a while. Let's hope Dino Fury's figures will look good.

Which based on the fact his release in wave 6 was highly inaccurate, and so far the rest of the wave looks better than the leaked images show, we can most likely surmise the green ranger shown is an unfinished proto, or probably a custom made to throw us off, it's not like there's no precedent for that.

For me, the problem is I'm really not that into Power Rangers in the first place. I loved it as a kid, but there's large portions of the franchise I never even watched. I was mainly collecting the line because the figures looked good on display, but some things have happened in real life where I'm having to put my PR collection in storage, and at that point I'm no longer getting anything out of the figures

Basically, if we let something as "minor" as the diamond not being on the Green Ranger body slide, it will just become an open door where they can "omit" some stuff like the black paint on DT White and it will be even worse.
We mustn't let that slide.

If we had better, we can ask for better. We shouldn't settle for less than what we can have.

I'm not saying to let it slide -- I straight up said that I don't think there's an excuse for it, especially given FS Green has that detail; and that it is undeniably a step down in quality given that direct comparison. I just said that I don't see how it's the worst thing ever or anything even approaching DT White.

My mentality isn't "this is no problem", my mentality is "these things missing are a problem, but that drops it from a 9/10 to a 7/10 rather than straight down to 0". There's, like, opinions and viewpoints between endless praise and boycott-justifying criticism.

I just don't see MMPR Green's white diamonds missing as much worse than Zeo Blue, DC Gold or Shadow Ranger, and the fact that both the last wave and what we've seen of this one shows consistent if not greater quality in figures like Zeo Red and In Space Yellow perhaps indicates that there's possibilities beyond "a leaked figure which turned out to not even be in the wave missing one minor detail shows that this line is on a slippery slope to unbearably bad figures". I just think it's an overreaction when we've had missing details since Wave 1, the figures still look as amazing as the likes of Lord Zedd, and the only significantly worse figures like DT White have been widely criticised by the community. This is a 20$ line aimed at a niche community. Temper your expectations.

Just the first two. It's more likely that Drakkon EVO III is going to be a Hasbro Pulse Exclusive, but we'll have to see come September.

The differences between this Zedd and the Wave 1 Zedd:

• The fingernails and plates on the backs of the fingers are painted.
• There's red detailing on the Growth Bomb.
• The lightning effect is purple instead of red. It's also shaped differently, so I'm assuming it's actually meant for Rita and not Zedd.
• The old Zedd seems to be very slightly taller? For some reason?

While I do wish they had put some silver drybrush on his staff, I'm still happy with the updates this version of Zedd did get. And I will say, if you only ever get one figure from the Lightning Collection, whether it be the original release for this slightly updated one, make it Lord Zedd. I feel he is by far the most well done. Great, unique sculpt work(especially for Hasbro), clean paint, fantastic articulation for his design, and having an evil Flesh Mummy will definitely stand out in a collection. Zack might be my favorite PR character, but I won't deny, no figure has come close to Zedd yet, objectively speaking.

Yeah that face is the stuff of nightmares. Other than that though, I think she's well done! Lots of nice detailing on her outfit and accessories, and the cloth clothing makes posing her barely a problem. I recommend pulling back her sleeves your first time posing her though, because out of the box her forearms were twisted backwards. Really hope that they let her keep the cloth clothes whenever she gets a standard release, but we'll see I guess.

It'd be fine I think if they didn't insist on giving the girls such different sculpts for the arms and torso when it doesn't match the shows at all.

Nobody is saying anything about letting anything slide, I'm pointing out that you're basing your argument on something that isn't confirmed, the "leak" was mostly debunked by the official lineup, we currently have no reason to believe MMPR Green won't have his diamonds painted and making a fuss at this juncture is pointless, and a waste of effort, DT white is another matter as in hand samples have confirmed, that is inexcusable, but don't use a figure that hasn't actually been sighted beyond what is either a custom or an unfinished prototype as the basis for your logic.

Saw the Zordon & Alpha 2-Pack at my local Wal-Mart today. Didn't buy it, but I will give Hasbro credit for at least giving the Zordon tube a light-up feature.

Also the Putty 2-Pack I ordered should be here by tomorrow. Hoping they eventually do multipacks for all of the grunts in the franchise.

The leak was never stated to be the next wave.
The internet assumed it was the lineup for the next on.
I don't consider it debunked when three out of the four figures perfectly matched the announced wave. MMPR black for example having no red ring.

All it means is we were just wrong that MMPR Green was the 4th figure not that it was a final upcoming figure.

So if three of the four are the final design. It's easy to lean on it not being a custom an it not being an unfinished prototype. It could still be but all these leaks back when DC Gold was leaked have been right on the money as finalized versions.

I do think until it's seen in the actual packaging(MMPR Blue does not match the figure you actually can buy) that we don't truly know what is final.

So after getting the LC Dragon Dagger & the MMPR Power Morpher I can't help but wonder; what's next for the LC Role Play toys?

Obviously we're getting Tommy's Morpher at some point, that's a given. But what about afterwards?

Judging from their action figure portion of the LC they aren't against going out of order & grabbing characters from anywhere in the series. Maybe that'll apply to their RP stuff as well?

As in, the function? They actually didn't, it just wasn't used all too often other than talking to people back at the Delta Base.

Or do you mean a physical part? I don't know much about the Dekaranger Badge.

So the Japanese SP License release has three seperate modes, enabled by two panels - Morph, Phone, and Judgement. The American Delta Morpher got rid of the top panel and cut it down to just two modes - morph, and judgement. I assume it was due to manufacturing costs - they wanted a slightly cheaper toy for an easier sell, so they reduced the complexity - but it could have been licensing rights for faces if they were to copy the SP License exactly, given that has actor photos in it, or because the phone mode wasn't shown in show, so they got rid of it because it was no longer being advertised. For what it's worth, the bottom "morph" panel on the American release has the phone number panel of the Japanese release, replacing a layout of the character info there.

As for personal taste, I'd love an Astro Morpher. I just love the space voice, and the aesthetic. It's a great sci-fi design.

Well to answer my own question from earlier I think I'd want these Morphers to get the Lightning Collection treatment:

Again, nothings actually been confirmed, but be on the lookout.

I’d be fine with it, though I’m not too sure 5 a wave is that possible. Instead it’d be more likely across 3 waves adding in the sixths... and now I say it out loud like that it’s clear why they didn’t do it that way.

I don't see much of this as being very likely, personally. Firstly, since Hasbro has only embraced Troop Building more and more as time has gone on, I don't see the Z-Putty getting a solo release in a mainline Wave. As a Pulse Exclusive and in a 2-Pack? Sure, but not a major spot.

I also don't see them doing a V2 of MMPR White this early in. Is it unheard of? No, but it's not very likely either. Again, maybe in a Multi-Pack of some form like how Zedd got updated, but not by itself.

The rest would be cool, but I'll believe them when I see them. My doubt about the other aspects of it casts a shadow on everything else.

Yeah, one of the main reasons these figures get more stuff than an average Marvel Legends does is that they don't have any BAFs and are also only 4 per Wave. Were they to bump it up, you can expect to be lucky for any character to even get alternate hands, let alone the unhelmetted heads and effect parts that are standard for every figure.

If the Sphinx King and Pumpkin Rapper rumours are true, I'm going to start throwing darts at boards at what to expect from this line. Like, surely, if you're gonna for for the MMPR monster market, you'd do Squat and Baboo first? Or Finster? Scorpina? Heck, even Rito (and the worst part is, I'd probably buy a Rito. I'm a sucker for Funny Skeleton Man) or Master Vile.

Meanwhile, on the topic of Goldar getting repacked, I've just realised this means we might see a "vanilla" release of SPD Omega without his bike in the mainline range, and considering those are available in my region (Thank you John Hasbro and your exclusive ****ery this is why you were trending the other day)... what I'm saying is, there's a chance of a release someday, sometime.
