Being able to have flying encounters, even if only via Mega Lati@s (hopefully they and their stones aren't impossible to get...) sounds really promising. Kinda of a lame way to get mascot legendaries to me, but the other random encounters sounds fun.

I started a new game on X and I had to beat Viola with 2 Pokemon I didn't want to use on my team because none of the Pokemon I wanted to use were available before the 1st gym.
