Where did this Animal Crossing/Doom thing come from? Was it originally a meme?

Kinda. With everyone thinking the two games will be competitive against each other, their respective fanbases kind of joined together to draw tons of fan art of Isabelle and Doom Guy/Doomslayer being best of friends, which led to the official Doom account expressing their love for the AC franchise :lol

Two reasons, one, the Doom Slayer adores cute animals as seen with his personal vendetta against the demons being that they killed his pet bunny rabbit Daisy, and two, both of their newest games will release on the same day

That and the fact they both come out at the same time (March 20)

I saw new Hasbro MMPR toys on facebook and I want them. They have helmets that pop out the back and close around the human head of the figure. And the suits are reminiscent of both the 1995 movie and Boom Comics variants. Red, Blue, and Pink have been revealed. 12in figures for $14.99 debuting this fall.

Mcfarlane's MK11 Spawn figure looks fantastic and already pre-order it at my local Gamestop. I love both Mcfarlane's toy line for both MK11 and Doom. Having Doomslayer, Scropion, and Spawn together on my display makes my childhood come into full circle.
