Hi, I'm an old fart over at TFW2005 but only just now managed to register, with, uh, some help dealing with the security question (I am not a smart man).

I'm currently (slowly) working my way through the original Kamen Rider, which is also my first Kamen Rider and first toku series (if you exclude the Godzilla movies), but I still consider myself a fan.

I mean, when Bandai announced the figuarts of the original Cyclone, I had to have it and made a decision to buy all the SHF Riders from the Showa era - and so far that decision's held. I mean, I have to be a fan to do something like that, right?

Hmm...Let's see, where to start..Been into Power Rangers most of my life, got into Kamen Rider after watching KR 555, been addicted ever since- and I can definitely say I'm more of a KR fan than a SS fan- and I also like to watch Ultra Man every once in a while.

In terms of collecting, I stopped collecting DX Super Sentai Stuff after buying the entire Shinkenger line- because the Samurai Haoh is a fantastic display piece, but the lack of articulation doesn't justify the amount of money it takes to assemble it- and after that I just didn't see the point in collecting anymore SS DX toys- I'd rather put my money into something more articulated, like Soul of Chogokin, Super Robot Chogokin, SH Figuarts, Super Imaginative Chogokin, Marvel Legends, Figma, Mafex, Transformers, Robot Spirits/Robot Damashii, Ultra-Act line, Sentinel Riobot line, and things like that- something with engineering that justifies the financial investment.

"You do realize that DX SS toys are meant for kids, right? That's why they're built that way."- Yes I do, it took me 20 years to wise up on it, but yes- and I stopped. lol

So you see, I try to dip my toe in many ponds- I try to be flexible and give a wide range of products a chance- because I used to only collect SS and KR stuff, but then I started watching reviews on other products and realized I was missing out, so now my collecting's reached a much more vast window of interest- that and every time somebody walks into my basement, their eyes get big, and they usually say something like, "OH..MY..GOD." LOL

Favorite SS Series: Megaranger/Power Rangers in Space- awesome mecha.
Favorite SS member: Captain Marvelous- he's such a smooth prick. lol
Favorite KR Series: Honestly, it's a tie between 555 and Kabuto- they're both really cool.
Favorite KR: Tsukasa Kadoya/KR Decade- He's a smooth prick too. lol
Favorite KR Ultimate Form: KR Ghost Heisei Rider Soul Form- could you imagine the amount of damage there'd be if you paired KR Ghost Heisei Rider Soul Form with KR Decade Complete form- or even if they fought each other. What a mess..

Yeah- everywhere I go people always make a mental health reference, so I've come to realize that I can be rather intense, and most people struggle processing it- but hey: Embrace what you can't fix- I am how I am- and if I'm a crazy nut now, I'll be a crazy nut until I die. ^_^

I'm a new member, but maybe someone will remember me? I've been a member of other Tokusatsu forums before. It's been so long that I cannot remember the first Tokusatsu message board/website that I joined, but it's been dead for years now. It was alive back in the early 2000's, had reviews and image galleries of a lot of Tokusatsu shows, including some related anime titles.

The most recent message board that I was a member of was Henshin Justice Unlimited. However, as of recently, their forum has been giving me Malware alerts. It's been like that for a few days now, and I can't even view the page anymore. But activity at that forum has been at an all time low. I think the Malware issue was the final straw, the last piece of incentive I needed to register here instead.

Either way, nice to meet you all. It would be nice if I could make some friends here, but mostly, I hope to get along with everyone. :thumb:

I tend to usually collect role play stuff like The Drivers, Morphers, Weapons etc but i've recently tested the waters with Sentai Mecha after i decided to try Kyuren-Oh

Welcome aboard! Wales is one of those places I'd love to visit if airplanes didn't absolutely terrify me! You have good taste in shows, methinks. Although others may disagree. This is, for the most part, a pretty friendly group of people and hopefully you'll find your niche and settle in soon. There are plenty of threads to dive into. I think I spent my first week here reading and reading and reading. It didn't help, though, I still made a fool of myself. :D

Hello, fellow humans! Really excited to meet other Toku fans.

I've been watching Sentai and Rider shows for ten years now, started with Kabuto and Boukenger (both of which still hold a special place in my heart). I watch other Toku shows, too, anything I can find, but Kamen Rider is my favorite and I've recently decided to watch all seasons that I haven't had the chance to watch/finish yet. Currently watching Ghost alongside Ex-Aid (and re-watching Agito just because it's been a while), next up is all of the Showa Riders.

I also have a bit of a Figuarts obsession going on, took a break for a couple of years and then Ex-Aid happened and uhhh. I had to pre-order Dangerous Zombie. After that I went crazy and ordered 21 other figurines that I absolutely needed. Despite the fact that I don't even have the space to display my current crew (28, including two Souchaku Henshins) properly. I-I'll think of something! (I have all these ideas for photo stories, too. I'll probably end up taking pictures outside, though all of the nice spots nearby are frequented by drunks and kids. They better let me focus on my art. :lol)
