2) The only reason this show inspired anyone was because everyone who watched it thought "I can do better than this garbage." 3) RUN! 4) Yes, I am being nice when I use the word "garbage." 5) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g67wb_OcAvw |

It's not the worst thing ever, but it isn't one I care to ever suffer through again. |

I've never really been into anime or manga. I subscribed to Shonen Jump but that was mostly for Yugioh cards. i tried reading the beginning of Naruto and started reading Psyren along with the first Volume of Bakuman. I did get 12 volumes into Beet. I've seen only DBZ up to King Cold, Yugioh at parts, and High school of the dead. So what would be a good place to start? Gundam?

If you are looking for Real Robot action, then yeah the gundam series are a good choice, but the first thing you have to ask yourself, is which genre of anime/manga are you interested in watching.

Big O and TTGL are the only mech anime I have truly fallen in love with. I also loved the hell out of Zoids as a kid, but it looks like that will never be subbed...

Vandread is another Mech series that is alright, but those who don't like Fanservice be wary. on a side note, the fanservice for vandread isn't bad, it's about 10 or more tiers below HOTD.

Out of curiosity i checked out the Stitch because they mentioned in an episode of the Birth by sleep playthrough that there's an episode that Stitch meets Lilo all grown up.
I felt my childhood die at the backstory that Lilo grew up and left Stitch. After that i got bored. |
Speaking of good mecha anime, I'm really enjoying the currently airing Majestic Prince, it has a cast of likable characters, including two of the main five being voiced by ShinkenBlue and GokaiSilver's actors, and the fights are pretty great, too.
Out of the three mecha shows that started last season, it's the only one I would even call good(Valvrave was really enjoyable, but not good by any means of the word, and Gargantia was flat out boring.) Unfortunately, Majestic Prince had a somewhat slow start and a rather hated character designer, known for such shows as Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny, but it's definitely worth checking out. |

I forgot to also mention Code Geass, Death Note, Big O, Wolf's Rain, and then a variety of Gundam series such as Zeta, Double Zeta, 0083, and most of all, Gundam Wing. |

Watch New Mobile Report Gundam Wing, it's AWESOME.

I liked what I saw of Gargantia, only got through about three episodes though because I'm an unfocused douche when it comes to shows. But I thought the actual mech whose name escapes me right now was damn ugly and considering how small it appeared from the outside always made me wonder how it was so huge on the inside. I guess I should ask the Doctor about that.

So I watched the first episode of Majestic Prince and I loved it. I don't really have anything more to add because it was just that good. Looks like I know what I'm gonna be catching up on now!

Checked out a raw version of the Toei Robot Girls Z episode 0 preview. I hope someone picks it up for subbing, because this looks like it'll be a fun little web series.

Honestly I think had the series been given two seasons, and gone at the same pace it did, it could've turned out great, actually it almost seemed as if they were told they were going to get two seasons, and then at the last minute someone told them it was only one season. |
Without spoilers, yes or no will do, does it have an ending?

Majestic Prince 2 - the obligatory shout exposition episode. Still, it was a nice reactionary episode to the first one and they do a good job of making this feel like a real world with real people. With nice little story beats like adding the adverts to the mechs.
Although it's pure nonsense, I'm still grateful for the amount of effort they've put into their mechs in this show. Kinda disappointed that it isn't really them piloting though, since the JULIA system is basically doing all the work. The fights are stunning though. |
Will have to check out Majestic Prince, only I'm following enough this season already so I'll wait until its all done before giving it a go.

I was worried at first that episode three of Majestic Prince would be a filler episode, but this show is very focused on its story, characters and world so it actually turned out to be great. Great action again as well.
So episode four of Majestic Prince. I love how the tone of the series is set by the characters, and so as they are all basically kids, when the series gets dark it's not at a slit your writs level as the characters have yet to truly comprehend that they are in very real danger and could die, these really are some very well realised characters. The flashbacks and character interactions are more than welcome, even if it means less action. I can't wait to see more from Team Doberman! I have to ask, is Kakashi actually blind? Because despite that huge scar and headband around his eyes he seems to be looking at that iPad just fine. |
