Tonight's news is BEYOND INSANE! The Trychaser is, like... man. MAN. The single thing they could have done that would have made me most excited! I don't actually know how they can go up from here for me personally because this is just a dream come true; I'd long since given up on getting a Trychaser for my Seihou Kuuga but suddenly, I don't have to anymore! They're doing Rider Machines and even if they don't cover all 20 of them (more than reasonable), they started off with the one I'd want most. Just... what a toyline.

And then they just keep going! I don't personally need an OOO because I have the Seihou, but... wow, they kinda one-upped it here, huh?? First of all they have Combo Change here too!! Which... alright, I guess we can expect at least one more OOO release in that case; AMAZING! And then they also go beyond that and have slash effects and Batta Leg finishers too?? This is more than I thought we'd get! It's a shame there's no Ankh or purple-eyed Taka, admittedly, but this is still just awesome. Defying expectations at every angle even when I thought they'd peaked... I love this toyline! I love it so much!

That leaves 6 Heisei Riders, by the way -- Blade, Kiva, Wizard, Gaim, Drive and Ghost. I really gotta wonder if they'll start covering Reiwa and Showa riders soon at the rate they're going, because this is amazing.

Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong; but is the Trychaser there retail? I can't find any info about it being PB, and that's incredible to me and yet another point in its favour. We haven't had a retail release in this line that wasn't a main rider's main form since the W forms, so this is great!

Is it safe to say we predicted this? Also, nice to see OOO and a teaser at form changing. OOO looks almost identical to the Seihou, which is so good to see.

I think what's wild about both of these announcements isn't just that they're amazing on their own, with both pushing what we'd previously expect from FRS releases; but that they're also big statements of intent?

Like, they're doing bikes now, and that probably means we can expect at least one more! OOO having Combo Change means, well, we'll probably get something to have him actually Combo Change with! These announcements were very much telling you to expect them to do a lot more in the future, beyond the realm of what they've been sticking with so far. Very excited to see the places this line goes!

OOOs is to be released sometime next year right? If so, that tracks with the rumor I heard that Bandai would be doing 4-5 kits per year.

One of the beautiful things about model kits is that they can be re-released so much easier than your average figure. We'll likely have these kits around for a good while. At some point maybe someone will be able to pick up all 20 main riders in one swoop!

The text in the image showing OOO all split up is very explicit about there already being plans for more OOO stuff at some point, so, yeah, pretty exciting day for news about a pretty exciting line!

Regarding OOO having engineering for the combo change gimmick I would recommend tempering expectations as the MG Figure-rise OOO also had the gimmick and only TaToBa ever came out in that line

It was clear they wanted to give people a reason to considering getting the OOO kit over the Seihou, and yeah, I can say they dealt a pretty solid hand there.

Well, I mean, I'd say it being half the price and being available for purchase outside of Mandarake is pretty good reason alone :lol

Personally hoping they do Blade next, as he's the last figure left that's in dire need of an update.

can we start the memes of Kiva being passed over for literally anything else for Figure-rise standard yet? As I'm honestly hoping that Kiva's the last of the Heisei Main Rider base forms to be announced and it actually comes out after a lot of other rider's and forms.

I think Wizard would be a really good priority too, given how hard it is to get his Seihou

There's a development blog up of the Trychaser! No extra info as far as I can see, basically just going over the points already covered last night; but it's a great look at how it'll look irl rather than CGI photos. Especially loving the shots of it on the stand; I didn't realise it had a stand port on the underside and it makes for some AMAZING posing opportunities!!

Looking at the Bandai Hobby pages for OOO and the Trychaser, here's a rundown of special features (based on Google translate):
OOO:
Removable Taka, Tora and Bata medals, as well as three cell medals for the medajalibur.
Combo change gimmick! (We'll probably see the rest of his forms within a year or so given the SS version and FRS Den-O)
The animal designs on his chest are all factory painted!
Trychaser:
Tries to recreate the "texture" of a motorbike
Wire is used to recreate cables
Spring suspension
The baton he turns into a sword in Pegasus(?) form is included, along with hands to hold it

I'm really hoping Lazer is next, that would give us both a bike and a rider at the same time (especially if they included alternate blank stickers for the eyes).

On that note, I think ShiShiLeo's theory of finishers being prioritised for accessories is holding up here; as OOO comes with both his extended Batta legs for his TaToBa kick and multiple effect parts for his Medajalibur Triple Scanning Charge

I definitely think finishers and iconic poses are the priority now. Pre-painted parts are on the table now so anything can happen!

Faiz Axel got revealed! ... yesterday, kinda missed it lol.

Not much to say, though -- November release, PB exclusive, 3,520 Yen; pre-orders up now. Comes with all the accessories of Faiz base form's release!

Weirdly, Team Rider and Bandai Hobby US are tweeting and posting pictures about it, saying it's coming later this year... I don't know if they're hinting at a US release for it? If they start doing releases for PB FRS kits that'd be fantastic!
