If there's one thing I don't like about most modern Ultra SHFs, especially recently-aired ones, it's how they pack in essential parts with exclusives to drive sales. Hate having to buy another figure just to get a beam effect, especially when I don't want other forms.

The beam effect is really annoying to begin with, but through frustration I can kind of understand it to reach the pricepoint. But the single alternate hand just feels petty?

I'm jealous of those beam effects that come with Ultra Man figures and wish tamashii would do an effects part set of them...I'm surprised they stopped doing effect part sets in general

Got a bit of an important question. Is Black Sun supposed to have softer, slightly bendy plastic, and not have any any little bits of plastic between joints or over the belt? My guess would be the softer plastic is for the organic texturing and shape, buy both that and there being no inserts in the package like seems to always be the case for SHFs has me worried I might have gotten a knockoff. I don?t remember what mine looked like, but according to this video, when he unboxed the figure there were no little plastic thingies between the joints
