As the person who randomly brought up the other mastermind figure for no reason a few days ago in this thread, I feel proud. I feel like I predicted this. I know I did not, but please allow me to have this one.

I can't quite put my finger on why, but I strongly dislike how that looks.

It?s kind of got that early 2000s The Matrix fashion style. All black. I?m not sure who this Mastermind person is, but I?m kind of surprised anyone would want to take credit for an all black repaint of a figure.

I know I would prefer them to do something with the eyes to differentiate them from all the rest of the body.

Oh. Is skin visible on the back of the neck on the normal release of the figure? Man? if there is skin visible and they paint that all black too, that would be a bummer.

Double edit CORRECTION: WE GOT SKIN, BABY! Check the picture attachment. It?s right underneath the helmet. I swear if they paint this skin the same black as the rest of the figure, I will be very disappointed

I can't tell if I'm more shocked that they're doing this again or that it's a relatively reasonable price given what normal Shin #1 costs

Is this one of those eco-friendly variants or just a black color variant? I only ask because Bandai had black variants of gundams not too long ago and they were making it known how the material was eco-friendly.

It is not eco-friendly. ECO-PLA Gundam is only eco friendly because model kits have much lower manufacturing requirements than traditional toys and figures.

Even if this was made from up cycled plastic, any savings would be countered by the other manufacturing and assembly processes.
