Man, Zangetsu does not seem to be all that common on Mandarake yet... missed one yesterday at 3500 yen since I couldn't find anything else I wanted at that store to avoid the fee. And now one went up this morning for 4000 yen... so basically I should have sucked it up and took the fee ha.

They already do though; on Mandarake they regularly get listed at 10000+ yen. They're the most consistently expensive of the recent Kyoryuger exclusives when I've been seeing listings.

Yeah, I was hoping that they would maybe drop to around 7000-8000 yen like Blue and Green did cause I was lucky enough to get Blue and Green from Mandarake for that much. Now it's wait to see if they drop a bit, or buy it now for the 10000+ yen they are going for before risking them getting any higher. I feel like doing the former...

Took a chance on a Zangetsu on Mandarake, hoping it will still be in stock.

Still couldn't find anything I wanted that badly to pad the order to an even 5,000 yen... So went with a Weather Dopant for 6,000 because why not?

So I finally broke my Hyper Kabuto out of the package after God knows how long. One of my biggest gripes with the figure, outside of the chest panel not staying in in his Hyper Clock-Up, is that changing his hands is quite annoying because whenever I pull off his hand, it takes the entire wrist joint with him.


Just now I realized the culprit; the wrist joint for whatever reason won't go in all the way resulting in a very loose connection. I've tried widening the hole but it just won't open up. Would hot water work towards fixing this?

Oh wow, actually got that Zangetsu. Just took a bit to get confirmed. And looks like I'll be getting myself a Weather Dopant. Wish it were Nasca as my first Dopant, but I'll take it haha.

Decided to open my Infinity Wizard. I love this thing! I would get Flame Style if it didn't suck.

Yeah, Flame and Flame Dragon are the worst. All the others are just fine. The only reason I'm even keeping mine is I plan on getting all the main Heisei Riders.

Flame style is Wizards's first form, no? What's wrong with it??

Lot of proportion issues, like clown feet. Neck is short, head's a bit small, torso's a bit short too. Plus the bottom half of his coat just translated poorly to plastic.

The neck and torso issues are somewhat easily resoled with some application of bluetack to the ball joints, though.

I have Water Style and I'm iffy on acquiring Water Dragon. I do want Infinity, though. It is so very very pretty.

What's wrong with Flame Dragon? Mine is just fine, and with all the Dragon parts attached to him, no issues here.

Infinity is also so bland because he did not come with a stand and is just a bland ultimate form to begin with.

How does not coming with a stand make the figure itself bland? It's still a really good-looking Figuart.

Beast Hyper was more of a bland final form than Infinity. Infinity looked awesome and had an awesome weapon and moveset. Beast Hyper had a gun.

If we go by that logic, 50% of Figuarts are bland. :eyebrow

More like 70%, way more SHFs should came with stands.

Meh, I just do not care for Infinity mode. Beast's Hyber mode matches the mythology of a Chimera. Infinity looks more like Haruto cosplaying as Galvatron.

Yeah I thought they fixed any issues with the Wizard mold starting with Water Style; I hadn't heard of issues with Flame Dragon before.

As an aside, I must be one of the only people with a Flame Style that isn't awful.

Not even just that. I'm fine with the proportions. The driver doesn't stay on. The waist comes apart extremely easily. He's just not very good to play with. Looks fine on a shelf though.

I actually don't own Flame Dragon, but I played with my friend's before he sold it. Could've been just QC issues on his. It seems polished, but something about him just didn't feel as good. Either way, even though no one would buy him, if they wanted to re-release Flame Style with all the fixes they made to the later releases, I'd totally trade mine in.

And yes, Infinity looks great.

My Flame Style seems to lack the multitude of issues most people's seem to have. Of course, I got my second-hand so maybe the previous owner did some fixing it up.

Mine actually got damaged due to the issue when I first got him. I didn't notice it at first though. His waist came apart and he fell onto my desk head first. The antenna tips broke off. I found one and fixed it, but the other one I never found because it was so tiny.

And the default coat tail piece doesn't even fit on properly on mine. It's molded funny. I use the first release bonus one for display though.

The figuart line for Wizard was very hit or miss to me. I hate how the rest of the line are web exclusives. That makes it harder for casual buyers who want a complete line up of the other forms.

Is there a way to fix Figuart legs? My GokaiRed's starting to wobble a bit.

I was a bit interested in Wizard Infinity and Beasts forms. Beast....might still bite with him. But overall, not a fan of Wizards duster-influenced design. I'm not a duster fan overall.

Funny how everyone's been talking about Wizard QC, I just came here to do just that.

My Flame Dragon's waist joint is super loose, causing the figure to split in half whenever any amount of force is applied. Considering that the lower body is the only part of the figure that you can hold on to in order to swap out the chestplate, this makes things rather frustrating.

All of the base forms have horrible proportion issues, which isn't helped by the belt being so high up on his waist that he barely has a torso and the poofy robes sticking out way too far. It's honestly one of the worst looking Figuarts ever released, but you can at least pose him in a way to kind of hide some of the problems.

The dragon styles improved the mould quite a lot and Infinity is pretty great.

That kinda sucks to hear about Wizard Flame style. I kinda wanted to get him.

I guess I got lucky with my Flame Style. His proportions are a definite head-scratcher (Mainly if his helmet didn't look so big), but the stability on mine's not bad at all.

Stability isn't an issue with my Water Style either. I think the helmet turned out better wth WS than Flame- I don't have a Flame to compare with though.

I really wish they'd given the bottom half of the robe more of a "flow". The standard piece just looks awful.

Does Flame Dragon not come with scanning hands? It seems like none of his open hands are flat enough to be properly scanned against the belt.

I like my flame wizard, mostly because of the extra coat parts that you get with the first release and bike, that extra DYNAMIC action kinda distracts me from his downfalls.

I agree, I don't find them all that bad... with that said Flame Dragon is FAR superior.

I just realized something funny - the three Rider SHFs I have are in the three classic Ranger colors: Red (Wizard Flame Dragon), Blue (G3-X), and Yellow (Fourze Elek). My figuarts shelf almost looks like some bizarre Gokaiger crossover that never was.

Ooooooh, painful. My condolences.

Actually, it's kind of OK now. The first time it fell out, I didn't push it back together as far as it's supposed to go, but I just pushed in until it clicked and it's fine now. He still pops apart sometimes, but not nearly as much as before.
