Just a heads up to people buying the MMPR Yellow Ranger Figuart, make sure the helmet is painted correctly as people have been reporting that the eyes of the tiger are left unpainted.

I don't think this is a problem with the JP Tiger Ranger. mine's fine and all the ones I've seen are fine.

Doesn't seem like HLJ's MO, at least in my experience. They haven't canceled my orders when they couldn't fulfill them. They just ignored me until I asked about it, then gave me the line. But then they randomly restock without warning and expected payment post haste.

On nearly every order I've made in the last 3 years My orders have either never been fulfilled and remained on perpetual backorder, or they've flat out been cancelled with no notice given to me and removed from my account. They've fulfilled a couple of AC's and Resshas for me and that's it.

HLJ has to be the most negatively-repped company I still find myself doing business with. I hate doing it but, sadly, sometimes there is no other option.

Same here. I placed my preorder the day they were put up on the site and now that order got cancelled. I placed a new one through BBTS in hopes they can actually fulfill it.

Same here. I refuse to do business with Nippon-Yasan ever again for a few reasons, but HLJ I still constantly place orders with even with all the negativity people have towards it. I've only ever experienced one order being left unfulfilled, so I have yet to have the same problems many others have had.

On the flipside, I have never had a negative experience with N-Y. Kyoryu Gold was the only widespread incident I've heard about them and I had no interest in the figure.

HLJ did right by me for a long time, as long as I pre-ordered stuff that had small demand (virtually my entire PaSwG collection came from them). Now that I'm collecting Toku, it's much harder to get them to come through. I only use them as back-up now, if I can't get an item somewhere else.

Ive used NY for Mammoth, Tricera, and Tiger Ranger, no problems on my end. They shipped release day and got here quick.

Ive used HLJ for Kiwami and the Gold/Silver apple locks. Hopefully G/S pulls through like Kiwami.

Heheheheh. I admit, that was my first thought too until I remembered them actually emailing people about canceled orders would represent a step forward on the "getting HLJ'd" front.

Out of curiosity, what issues have you had with NY?

They have always taken at least a week to get any order I've placed with them shipped out. I'm never in a rush to get things most of the time, but having every one of my orders take so long to be sent out when others would have theirs shipped out same day really began to grate on me.

I was one of the ones who experienced the Kyoryu Gold debacle, and they either ignored my messages, took their time to respond, or gave me different information each time.

Normally, neither of these issues would be enough to cause me to completely boycott a store. I might avoid using them, but I would still not have a problem with going back to them. It's their recent changed polices that finally drew the line for me.

They removed their cancellation policy for orders, as it was causing their suppliers to start putting them farther and farther back in importance. I can understand this being an issue, and have no problem with changing the policy for new orders placed after the policy change.

However, I had several orders placed that were made before this change. When I requested their cancellation, they told me they would not due to their new policies. When I explained my orders were placed prior to these changes, and they needed to honor their original guidelines that were agreed upon between seller and buyer, they denied me and told me this has always been their policy.

I didn't bother paying for any of those orders, and, if they followed their new guidelines, my account should be banned from making future orders anyway. I've gone back to using Yokatta's services again and couldn't be happier, even with the sometimes slow communication.

I haven't had any issues with them. And I've got quite a few orders with them right now.

Yokatta is a nice service, but their higher prices, paypal gift payment, and EMS only destroys my funds. So no thank you.

I never preordered anything from HLJ and I only go to NY for web exclusives (and they gave me such great speed with Tiger Ranger so I'm going to be paying for Shadow Chaser in the next week or so).

Nevertheless, this is utter bs since I preordered him the day he went up.

What is this about KyoryuGold from NY?

Yokatta will now let you send PayPal as actually payment instead of gift money, they just turn around and invoice you the fees. Also, at least with my last order, I had options other than EMS. I don't know if they're adapting their business practices or what. I will say, they're awesome for giving you time to make a shipping decision, but the little fees add up and I ended up spending a good deal more than I had anticipated. Nice people to do business with, but cost prohibitive for anything more than last resort.

The only thing I've ever pre-ordered from HLJ was SHF Den-O Liner form, and I got that just fine. Everything else I've bougt from them was in-stock items that I got just fine. From what I've read from other who got "HLJ'd", it seems like they've got a bad habit of way over-estimating how much stock they're gonna get when it comes to pre-orders. I can understand if it was just one or two times, but how do they keep doing and not catch on that it's upsetting people?

Been fooling around with my Gaim and Baron and I love them dearly. Just two things stop them from being perfect. Gaim's Mousu Saber clip. I have to take it off, attach the saber, then reattach the whole shabang. And Baron's shoulder banana armor is a little floppy. But those are really minor complaints, really. These are farking awesome figures. Very happy I got them.

Wait a minute, someone makes you pay for Paypal fees? That's bullshit. They shouldn't accept Paypal then if they don't want to deal with the fees.

I have no problem paying the, usually, less than ¥10 (not a typo) fees. They're providing the service, they get to set the rules. Buyers can avoid the fees by sending it as gift money, but then Yokatta gets crap for that, too.

Well yeah, if you send a gift payment then there is nothing stopping Yokatta from keeping your money and item.

However, they should just include the Paypal fee in their middle man fees, not send you a second payment request, because then you are just making another payment with a fee to pay a fee. So do they then make you pay the fee for the fee for the original fee?

The deal from what I've seen is NY held preorders up for forever, droves of folks canceled and jumped ship. Lots of nastiness all around, delayed communication, canceled orders, misinformation. Never ordered from them, just telling it from what I've heard.

Played around with my Zangetsu properly last night and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. He's hands down my favourite Gaim Rider, but easily my least favourite of the Figuarts released so far (which makes 2 for 2, as he was my least favourite Arms Change figure too :( )

The armour sections are superb, but the white body is where it all falls down. Noticable colour differences between parts, some bits having a near translucent quality to them and hands that don't seem to lock into the wrists very well :(

How are used figures from amiami that are rated a B usually like?

I always have them store my items for several months at a time, so the costs of EMS are often equal, and sometimes even less, than what I would be paying other stores to ship out items to me on a monthly basis.

Very good, pretty much the same as a figure from Mandarke or Jungle with "some box damage" or whatever. I've picked up a LOT of used figures from them over the past year and have yet to run into a problem.

On that topic, was up late last night and happened to be up when they listed a ton of pre-owned Figuarts. I had G4 and Zeronos Zero (both right around $30ish) in my cart and every time I tried logging in to add them to my monthly order I got an "unexpected system error." By the time I got it working again on IE (error came up on Chrome), both were gone. Ugh. At least I got an OOO Sagozo and Blue Buster for cheap.

Same here, he's also my favorite Rider but I agree that he's the weakest Figuart unfortunately. I actually don't have problems with the color, but the hands just won't stay on, especially when trying to get him to hold the shield. His saber hilt falls out constantly as well. I still like him overall, but he just really doesn't live up to the standard set by Gaim and Baron.

IT seems like one of the biggest fault of the Gaim figuarts are the one that comes with muso saber.. Since the hilt tends to snap or just fall apart, not I'm kinda scared to even attempt to my saber in the hilt on my Gaim figuarts.

Now the team is finally complete! :D

Someone on Ebay was selling Gaim Orange Arms for $40 for free shipping, but someone out bid me. I always hate when Ebay buyers put down a max bid for a crazy amount. I think this guy must have put down at least 80 bucks so no one else can buy it.

At least I grab Faiz's base form for $30 for free shipping on Ebay. Better then most people have sold him for online. I miss out on the reissue pre-order for him on CStoys a while back.

About to open my Zangetsu from Mandarake and see what the fuss is really all about...
