Just got through the last time in canon that you see Phoenix's classic sprite.
Now for the flashback investigation. |
Went back to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
It took me 45 minutes just to get the windwill pieces back. Am I losing my edge? |
Beat Tales of the Abyss last night, and I'll be honest the epilogue made me tear up. And with Tales finished I'm ready for Bravely Default on Friday.
|
As much as I like the gameplay of the Assassins Creed series, I keep wanting to question every single thing wrong with it that crops up, like "are there Templars that do not know they are Templars," "who the heck is "The Father of Understanding," and "if religions were created by Templars to control people, how the hell did the Greco-Romanic Pantheon as we know it come about? Jupiter and Minerva are REAL in that universe! Did the Templars want to try and get a select few people to help track down the PoE with out knowing or something."
Why do I both hate and love this game? |
I made it to a part in Ace Attorney 4 that to this day kind of confuses me.
Phoenix is talking to witnesses and traveling to locations in both hi's time period and Apollo's, and when he's interogating these witnesses he's presenting evidence that he shouldn't have because of course he got them in the future... So is he time travelling or what? |
Case 1 of Ace attorney 5, the humor in this game is hilarious. :lol Them noting that Phoenix is getting old and saying he has gray hairs, in an attempt to scare him.
And i'm interested to see where Athena Cyke's backstory goes, the cutscene that foreshadows it is gonna give me nightmares tonight. The defendant in this case is basically a human version of Fluttershy who has a crush on Apollo, which interests me. |
Going into case 2 of AA5.
5 Things. Trucy my love! You have returned! If they don't reference Okami i'm gonna be disappointed. Did they just reference Devil May Cry!? I'm really liking Trucy's friend Jynxie. :lol She's funny. And i missed the Magic panties. :lol |
I wasn't sure on Bravely Default at first but I'm starting to find myself quite addicted to it.
It's nice to see a retro style RPG again I like the battle system and the fact that you can make it as challenging as you want it, it helps make the game rewarding for veterans of JRPGs but approachable to people new to the genre, it also makes playing an RPG on the go all the more easier. The art aesthetic took awhile to get use too, but what sold me was the writing and how well the characters play off one another. The voice acting is stellar, and I honestly prefer the English track over the Japanese as I feel the English voices better suits the character's personalities. I'm still fairly early in the game, so here's how I have my characters set up: Edea: Theif/Knight Combo Tiz: Monk/Knight Combo Anges: White Mage/Black Mage Combo Ringabell: Monk/Merchant Combo. Had to switch Ringabell to a Merchant after seeing how the outfit looked on him…it's a perfect fit and helps make him all the more suave . |

I'm amazed that the game is 40$. Considering the length, all the voice acing and customization there's a lot of value.
|
I've been playing the demo for Bravely Default and I'm already getting used to it. Can't wait to play the full game when I get a chance of buying it.
|
I think i just got diabeetus from the adorableness of this moment.

I just got to the third case on the game.
I went crazy with the screen capture again. https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhA0HQJPdRcS4 https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhA98Qp81sPhM https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhBLKUxtC4Rb3 Man miss Fluttershy over here looks gorgeous with her School uniform. :D https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhL0kU7uZEdwy And another shot i want as my signature. https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhL5WAZVGvh1j I'm here for pointless Cameo! ...Okay i'm not gonna lie i giggled like a little girl when i saw this. |
Last night I got the Thief and Merchant job classes in Bravely Default. If anyone is a GaoGaiGar fan I'd recommend the JP audio for that side quest since Nobuyuki Hiyama voices Jackal
|
Well, just beat Fable Anniversary.
And that was a fantastic game! The original probably was indeed the best of the three. But now that that's over... Well, all of the DLC for Fable 2 was half off last week, so I guess it's back to that? |
Just got 2 more jobs in Bravely Default; Ranger & Summoner.
|
There's only a few hours left, so I figure I might as well get in on the Titanfall beta for even just a little bit.
|
Man, this moment in AA5, seeing someone this cute just break down into crying like this just puts me to tears.
https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhyRr0F4W8KGg ... But then about a half hour later we have what could be the funniest moment in Ace attorney history. https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.ne...zRhzHJwm0AUxCt |
I picked up the Metroid Prime Trilogy set for the Wii the other day and I decided to just go ahead and start the first one today even though I know I'll be playing DKC for like the next 2-3 weeks as I wanted to make sure the disc worked and everything. The good news is, it does. THe bad news is, I haven't played this game in so long that I kind of forgot where everything was. It is also taking me forever to get used to the Wii controller as this game definitely was not meant to have motion controls even though it seemed like it was a prime candidate for it. There are just so many fast moving enemies that without the lock on working as it should, it makes them a lot harder to even hit them when it shouldn't. I love seeing the game in widescreen though and in an upconverted HD, but I am starting to miss the GC controller.

I can't help but feel that this was an inside joke, because AA4, Apollo's debut game. wasn't well recieved. |
I'm going classic lately.
Mega Man 3 Super Dodge Ball StarTropics So far beaten the top two, now working on StarTropics. Ah, the memories. |
Almost done with darksouls. Only two bosses left.
|
I finished Metroid Prime 1 today with 100% completion. Oddly enough, the years have made Prime so much easier to beat as he was much easier than I remember. In fact, the only boss that was still a pain in the ass was the Omega Pirate. However, I had a moment where I wanted to scream at the game if it was insane or not as after I finished it, it asked if I wanted to save my data and erase all of my hard work with having to start over brand new. I was like, "OH HELL NO!!" and promptly pressed no because I am not losing my 100% completion data.

This sums up the final episode of Ace attorney dual destinies perfectly.

I have a serious Bravely Default problem, I can't stop playing it. I'm not even 4 Chapters in and I already have 22 hours into it... I just got the Preformer job class last night, but the Pirate continues to be my favorite job.
|
I would be playing DKC:TF if the mail around my arena would deliver it. Having to wait for a game sucks and I'll have to wait until MAY for Kirby Triple Deluxe.
Crap in a hat. |
Bravely Default update…I'm finding myself more and more addicted to this game.
I just got the Ranger and Valkyire jobs so my current team is: Tiz: Spell Fencer/Knight Anges: Summoner/White Mage Edea: Valkyire/SSpell Fencer Ringabell: Monk/Ranger |

Tiz: Ninja/Ranger Anges: Spiritmaster/White Mage Eda: Valkyrie/Spell Fencer Ringabell: Pirate/Spell Fencer |
I am playing Kamen Rider Battride War, and got to play as Kiva today. he was so much fucking fun. I had an absolute blast. I love Kuuga and Faiz too though Faiz's rider kick is hard to aim.

All these people playing Bravely Default...
...I need to get this game... |
I started playing Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, but to say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I played the game for 6 hours and have not even made it off the second island. The game relies way too much on trial and error than anything else for most of the levels, and it took me 11 tries on one level just to find all of the puzzle pieces. Not just that, but I spent 33 tries to get a puzzle piece and one of the letters in the first mine cart level. Donkey Kong Country Returns is my favorite Wii game of all time. It had tough moments that required skill and precision, but this game seems to require you to just experiment over and over and over by dying and redoing it than being good at what you are doing. I am stuck in level 2-K due to this as there is a spot where you need to shoot out of a barrel and just bounce off the heads of these bird creature over a large pit, but they expect you to be able to bounce off one head and fly halfway across the screen to land on the next, and if you don't, it's back to restarting the level over again from the beginning. This isn't skill, this is just based on sheer luck and it is really bringing my enjoyment of the game down. I played this level 26 times tonight before I finally said, "Screw it," and took a break to continue Game of Thrones.
|
Skyrim, just finished the first Alduin fight, and I got to fight him to metal Christmas music, since I never took off that mod. :lol
|
so, dark souls 2 comes out next week. I AM PUMPED!
|
XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
Lots... and lots... of XCOM. |
Almost done with Dual destinies... Man this was a fun ride all the way through.
