I'd bet money that it's gonna be for the Taisen. Which really, really doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence, because the Taisens are usually bullshit and an Ishinomori form is something you want to do with respect.

So having watched Ghost's fight in Drive 47 in better quality now... did you guys notice something about his fighting style? It looks way more polished and trained than Drive's for example. I can't properly explain the fighting style, but the parries and backhand slaps especially look kind of Kung Fu? Correct me if you know which fighting style Ghost uses, or which one mainly inspired it.

I'm not saying Drive (or the suit actor since it’s the same guy) fights badly, it's just that Drive fights pretty straight forward as someone who has been trained as a police officer would, so it makes sense, but Ghost fights more creative. Was he raised in a dojo or something, do we know that? Because it wouldn’t surprise me if he (the character) is actually trained in martial arts.

Ghosts movement are a lot more smooth than those of Drive too. Which makes sense just based on his motif. Giving him a much more smooth and Ghostlike fighting style works very well for him.

I kind of hear Romeo and Juliet in the Shakespeare eyecon.

Poeple are reading so much into Ghosts's fighting style. It's not smooth or "ghostlike" at all, (what does that even mean?) though it's clearly trying to be. There's no grace or fluidity, just clumsy theatrics.

Also, I nearly peed myself when he "floated" into frame, helplessly swinging back and fourth on the wire they used to hold him.

Not because this is bad, it's pretty awesome really. Houdini is great, and now we have confirmation that Spectre has at least 4 forms. For a secondary Rider, that's really a ton.

On the other hand, it does confirm that the standby jingle is specific to a Rider. So essentially every single new one discovered is for Ghost. That...still doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, main Riders always have more obviously, but this would mean Takeru would have over 20 forms by the end. And that's kinda ridiculous. It also does throw a wrench in the idea that this will be a multi-Rider series, unless Makoto for some reason is unique in having a special jingle. I guess we'll see.

Hoping for Grimm as a Spectre form, though...

Well we will get at least one more Belt in the show and with it one more Rider. I´m pretty sure some of the Eyecons that we know of belong to that rider. They just make the Ghost specific sounds in the Ghost Driver.

Yeah, that was my theory as well. I'm really hoping on it.

The only ones we didn't hear the jingle for are Da Vinci, Grimm, Pythagoras, Galileo, and Ryoma. So it's anyone's guess who those belong to.

And if we have more Riders that could use the Ghost Driver there is always the possibility of them sharing sounds. Like the Sengoku Riders in Gaim who all just used the four basic jingles.

I'm not being grumpy, I'm using my eyes. It's clearly trying to go for some kind of style, but all the movements have this little jerkiness to them.

Then again, I am thoroughly convinced that the stunt actor just cannot see in those suits anymore. It's better fighting than I could do, but it doesn't look fluid at all.

I just realized the hacked sounds didn't include Beethoven. Aw. I really want to hear that one.

Though between him, Den-O, and the newly discovered Houdini at least it's obvious there's still more to be found...

Ore Specter, Unity, Shinsengumi...seems like some proper upgrades have been found. Interesting stuff, though extremely odd that Nobunaga has an Eyecon while none of the others in the trio forms seem to.

While I like the theme, this villain looks like a Sentai MOW, and I mean that in a negative way.

Drive especially had some great designs (I think some people from the SIC-saga worked on them) so this already feels like a step backwards.

Hey, not all monsters are going to be spectacular. I like it. Mainly because Ai like Alice in Wonderland. *shrugs* Can't do much with AiW designs to make them seem menacing without losing the motif, IMO.

Yeah not a fan of the monster designs either so far. They are a bit too basic for my tastes. Especially after the awesome S.I.C. aesthetic the Roidmudes had going for them.

I really like how the whole coat gimmick carries over to the Ganma. I'm alright with the aesthetic, it's a series about Ghosts, having them look like flamboyant phantoms and what not seems pretty appropriate.

The Ganma get a pass for being a bit on the basic side because of the gimmick. They are basically Ghost only the faces don't change when the coats do. Oh, and they are evil.

Ikkyu Eyecon and Damashii have also been formally announced.

Looks like it may be a Hyper Battle Video form? I imagine it'll follow Fresh Orange and High Speed's footsteps and the toy will end up bundled with a magazine or something...

Reminds me of what Nintendo did with Zelda Wind Waker after majoras mask, which went from detailed to cartoony

I'm pretty sure it was said the name was a combination of "Boo" and "Ghost"(Boo + Ghost - Gho = Boost.)

Although from the description, I can't tell if they're a movie exclusive Rider like Lupin, or the next recurring Rider in the within the series. The way it says "introduced" makes me think the latter, but I can't be sure.

I think Boost may be introduced just as a cameo for the series, though.

Based just on the fact that the toy catalog gave us some info on what toys the movie is getting--a 2 Eyecon pack for the DX line, and a 2 Parka Ghost pack for the GC line. The implication (the way i see it) is that the parkas correspond to the Eyecons. If Boost was one of the Eyecons (which he probably would be if he was just a movie exclusive Rider) I can't see his hood just being released alone for the GC line without a new base figure....though of course, I also can't really see a movie exclusive Rider get a figure in the main gimmick toy line. (sounds more like a premium bandai thing if anything)

So what the hell, maybe Boost is one of the Eyecons but the GC thing comes with Newton instead. I don't know.
