It's getting seriously hard to comment on a show which is just so damn good. It was disappointing that Team Doberman were in the show so little, but I'm assuming they'll be back for a pivotal moment later and I enjoyed them a lot while they were here, especially when Randy gave Izuru that porn and he ended up showing the whole group, and in the end he and Asagi stayed up all night watching it :lol

This show just really does have great characters and a great knowledge of how to play characters off of one another to make the scenes outside of the action really pop. I barely even notice how little action there is, with how much fun I am having, until I'm sat being critical of it for forum posts like this.

What really helps, despite being an anime about dudes in giant robots fighting aliens, is just how human everyone in the team feels. They feel like real teens who even with the war they are fighting, go through all the same things we have as well and the tone always seems to perfectly capture the perspective that we are seeing it through their eyes which makes the characters so much easier to connect with. Even if it can admittedly be a little corny at times.

Also, I really want to go to a school where I can pilot mechs!

So I just watched episode Seven of Majestic Prince which is apparently where the show gets 'good' (even though I've enjoyed it from the start) and eh... I actually thought it was one of the weaker episodes. Just because we had so much focus on the villains and ultimately the villains have bland to downright ugly designs, which aren't made any cooler by their crappy mech designs. I hope that they do some really awesome stuff so I can ignore their bad designs.

I'm watching more Shakugan no Shana, i'm enjoying it so far despite the fact that i lost track of whats going on.

Black Roxk Shooter is an OVA based on a piece of artwork by Huke (which subsequently influenced a Supercell song of the same name), about a universe where girls battle each other. Each girl is connected to a girl in our universe, and it sort of deals with the connection between the 2 worlds while jumping between them.

There was also a 8 episode series that came out last year that expanded on it a bit more.

His skin is way stronger than that of the regular titans, so it's more of an armor than anything else.

About the only thing that annoyed me about episode 8 of Majestic Prince is apparently you can survive exposed in space, even with breathing suits he'd have frozen to death almost instantly. That little niggle aside it was a full episode of stunning action sequences.

Well that explains why he had a million people in his autograph line at AX (and half of them dressed like that). I mean, sure, there were guests with large lines, but Huke was so huge they had his own ticketing section too. I would have loved to have gotten him to sign one of my Metal Gear items, but I was not going to wait in his line for an autograph when I could get 4 other people in that time frame.

Yeah he's pretty famous off BRS alone, not to mention he did all the character design for Steins;Gate.

There is also a game and a manga, but their stories are completely unrelated to the above description, I liked the OVA a lot, the anime not so much.

Very Much. And Tenchi's movies were just things of beauty. Tenchi Muyo The Movie: Tenchi Muyo In Love still gives me the Feels. Tenchi Muyo should've been the template for all Harem anime's to come after.

I need to watch Universe and those movies again, it's been too long. Its one of the shows that got me into anime properly.

I never understood why people used music as a selling point for a show.
Any show can have nice music. Doesn't instantly make it good. Just means they knew the right person to ask to make the soundtrack.

I agree. I still think it is by far the best Gundam series out there because the Gundams were actually used as war machines instead of military machines.
