If Dino Thunder Red is legit, that would seem to give a bit more weight to Wave 7 including MMPR Green + White and the Z-putty.

I’m pretty sure they mean this armour, which featured in the original Drakkon storyline and was later in battle for the grid as a playable fighter.

And... I think she’s very unlikely. Like, she’s a giant! I don’t think even the Omega Ranger/Cycle packaging would cover that!

I wonder if the MMPR White being rumored is actually the White Tiger Ranger. Maybe it's being confused for another White Ranger from MMPR... i.e., the White Alien Ranger???

(Shh, I know it's unlikely... it's probably the movie white ranger or a metallic white ranger or a white ranger from a different season entirely... just let me dream)

This is what I am hoping for. I don't see any of the other rumored figures being a short pack, but can see a White Alien Ranger being a short pack with hopefully the Z-Putty being 3 per case.

Hate to bring some bad juju to all the troop builders out there, but I feel if any figure in the next wave is gonna be short-packed it's gonna be the Putty. I doubt they'd let any Red Ranger fall into that slot, they're re-releasing White MMPR supposedly so ya know they have plenty of those made in factory to go around & MMPR Green is getting his first single retail release & is far too iconic to have in shortage.

Is re-releasing a fairly recent figure as part of a main wave something that Hasbro does often?

I have a few ideas, but nothing concrete or precise.

I don't know about other lines, but Marvel Legends sees re-releases of characters, but not usually the exact same figure. For example, Jim Lee Cyclops was released in 2017 and then a 3 pack with the Jim Lee Cyclops was released in 2019, but with a flight jacket and with a darker blue and lighter yellow. The Monster Venom BaF was released about 2 years prior to the single release which was done in more classic colors. So Hasbro has been known to some what do re-releases, though they usually do them as variants or upgrades to previous releases. Plus wave 7 is just shy of 2 years after wave 1. However, each license is handled differently and run by it's own team. What Legends does may not be what Lightning Collection does.

With Power Rangers they don't really have much they can do with variants. Short of starting with Metallic Armor or 90's movie suits, the MMPR White Ranger would just be a re-release. There isn't really any missing paint they can add to the deco. The sculpt was pretty spot on. If it is MMPR White Ranger, maybe you will see a bigger Saba and a new effect piece.

That being said, I just don't see Hasbro releasing 2 Tommy's in the same wave. What would be the point? It doesn't save them much money to re-release MMPR White over any other ranger figure. It's not as if White Ranger is in short supply. I still have a feeling that it will be the White Alien Ranger.

Gotcha. And neither of those examples is a main wave re-release of a figure in another main wave. One was a variant in a 3-pack and the other was a main wave release of a BaF.

Yeah, maybe it's wishful thinking, but I just don't see it happening. The rumor has to be either completely wrong, or the product code, or whatever they're using to determine what's being released, has been totally misinterpreted.

If it's the White Alien Ranger, I will die. I never expected a collectible figure release of Ninja White in my lifetime. I mean, if the rumor is right about the color but not the team, there are only 6 other white ranger options that haven't already been released (Movie White Ranger, Ninja Costume Tommy, Jungle Fury Rhino, Wild Force White, Ninja Steel White, Mystic Force White).

If it does come to pass that MMPR White is infact getting added to the next wave, and it's not the 90s Movie or Metallic Armor version, then I really hope it's a full blown V2 with updated articulation. There's a few changes I'd absolutely love for them to make.

This would be, IMO, the only justifiable reason to re-release it as part of the next main wave.

A full-blown V2 this soon might piss a lot of people off, though, considering we just bought the damn thing a year and a half ago. I know I'd be salty about it. :lol

The question is: how will Hasbro brand the Alien Rangers. If they plan on riding the MMPR train, they may just brand them as MMPR, meaning the codes will match those of the other MMPR figures.

What is interesting is that they branded Zordon and Alpha as MMPR, when they were clearly based on Zeo. Zordon is in the Power Chamber tube that came about in Zeo. So, we know Hasbro is more than willing to use the MMPR branding even when the figures aren't fully MMPR.

I could definitely see “Mighty Morphin White Alien Ranger”, or if too long, “MMPR White Alien Ranger”. It’s hard to see them not using the correct team but so difficult to see them not using the MMPR branding at any chance they have.

Red Dino Ranger is cool. I'd be more excited for the Dino Thunder Team if White wasn't exclusive to a bloody American Pharmacy(?!). Then you have to get Hasbro to send you a replacement head for it and blaaaaagggghhhhhhh

If it's a Red, a Sixth, or a Tommy, just wait a little bit. Those all get top priority in terms of these figures.

I really like that wave if true. I wish Adam was Zeo or Turbo instead, especially since we just got MMPR Black, but getting another Zeo character, as well as starting two new teams is very exciting.

My theory is that DT Red is in the actual Wave 7 and that either Adam Black or NS Yellow are going to be Wal-Mart exclusive.

What issue ? Mine came out fine, just missing some thin silver lines that should run all the way to the back of the helmet

Trying to find it; it was earlier in this thread. Basically a bad paint app that made the two sides of his arrow visor very unaligned.

Dunno about the US but in the UK all I needed to provide was a picture of the figure with the reference number of the complaint itself. Didn’t need to take any pictures of the figure’s feet, I haven’t even unboxed mine yet.
