Still, I'm glad this kit exists, and I would also love to see Premium Bandai kits get more dependable international releases. Just maybe not a kit that hated me. |
Oh god yeah, I've heard from my gf that that kit is murderous with the stickers! So a release of Axel is definitely one I'm happy to just say, like... good for everyone who wants it, but no thanks personally
|
If Axel form is indeed coming as regular release, I'll gladly pick it up. I've always loved the suit design.
If it's P-Bandai, it's a skip from me. The base Faiz suit was nasty with the stickers but man the finished product sure looks good. |
Is Faiz worse than Ex-Aid? Otherwise, I think I can handle it (stickers or paint).

The weapons are kind of rough though, because the stickers smooth out all the nice molded details |
Ex-Aid is probably the worst. In addition to the insane amount of stickers, his colors aren't very common for color matching. Whereas Faiz uses a lot of red and silver - very common colors you probably already have.
|
Oh I just noticed that FRS OOO is back to the double jointed elbows!

Ah, if he's not worse than Ex-Aid (who I stickered and then painted later on) then I should be all right whenever I get to him.
|
The mystery of the elbow joints continue!
|
And looks like Faiz Axel is actually coming to the US! Not sure how, though?

Finally got around to ordering Genm (along with a HG Zaku to pad the shipping cost)!
|
Nice!! Hope you enjoy him :)

Got a glimpse of the sticker sheet in a new YouTube video. Looks like it's just the eyes, forehead gem, and 4 small black parts that I can't place at the moment. Looks really good and is going to be nice and simple!
|
Here's Agito's box art as well! It's, well, very Agito. Very nice.

Very excellent color accuracy kit. |
Excellent, goddamn... they keep hitting it out the park

I have a feeling this one is gonna be the best one yet. My ranking of all the main rider kits so far are:
1. Den-O - all around excellent, easy to paint, great accessories, plat form option, highly moddable. 2. Hibiki - beautiful plastic, solid construction, looks okay without paint 3. Decade - Great accessories, fun build, proportions feel a little off, some bad stickers. 4. Kuuga - Clean simple build, I wish the red was better, even if you've never painted a figure before, please consider painting the red gems on Kuuga's hardware! 5 - Ryuki - Slightly off shoulder mold, too many unavoidable stickers, Dragreder was nice, but not for me. Eyes are barely visible through visor. 6. W - Great implementation of splitting, but that green plastic is unbearable! Black panel liner goes a long way here. 7. Kabuto - really great proportions and accessories. Paint helps a lot, but stickers are adequate. 8. Faiz - Bonus points because the SHF is so old and outdated. Sticker heavy, but some of the stickers are better than paint. 9. Ex-Aid - Great build but tons of stickers and still requires some uncommon paint for belt and hands. 10. Zi-O - articulation is very limited. Missing some big color separation (the neck in particular), stickers don't match well/are too flat. 11. Build - Joints are loose, stickers don't blend in well or stick well. But it's the one that started it all! Go Build! So you can clearly see how I put the later ones at the top- the Figure-Rise Standard line just gets better and better. |

Looks absolutely amazing
|
so, Bandai just announced an Ultraman x Chinese Heroes model kits, including Sun Wokong Zero, Guan Yu Titas, and Nezha Ginga, it's an entry grade and not frs unfortunately. (src : Instagram @gunpanerd)
if the ultraman model kits works well... we can possibly get frs Ultraman, nice, pls Bandai |

I wonder how all of the EG figures for most franchises are barely articulated plastic shells, while the ones for Gundam are fully articulated and nearly as good as High Grades.
|
This kit looks great.
I feel like the Belt isn’t detailed enough. How are supposed to be the round things on both sides? ( I wonder if it’s not a waste of money to both have the Figuarts and the Figure-Rise...) |

FRS is considerably cheaper and easier to get a hold of than old SHF/SS that might skyrocket in the aftermarket. The way I see it, FRS is a great fill-in for outdated SHFs or ones that are hard to come by. |
I just realized Agito has Takaiwa Seiji hands

Those look cool but I'm not a big fan of statues and prefer kits with articulation.
|
They look great! But no articulation is a pass for me.
|
Finally decided As if I had a choice, the SHF sold out in a day out here and just picked up Kuuga kit. Should be coming in tomorrow.
Now, to decide whether to paint the red in Godai's or Yuusuke's... |
I'm glad this line is picking up speed. Can't wait for Fourze and OOO. Surprised but pleased that OOO's chest symbol with be tampographed.
Also thrilled we're actually getting bikes. Guess I'll have to pick up Kuuga some time to go with the Tri-chaser. |

I want to make people smile! So, please watch my... HENSHIN!
Figure-Rise Standard Kuuga completed! Been a while since I built a FRS. Not sure if I completely like the transition from Faiz/Kabuto/Build's polycap joints to full plastic ones but it's okay. Kuuga's a simple design so there was only a few stuff I did. Originally, I wanted to do it in Onodera's colors, but the hobby place I go to didn't have metallic red in stock, so I went with gloss red. -grey runner painted with silver -red plastic to gloss red (this one is important lol) -transparent red on the gems on his bands Not a fan of how his joints are set up mostly for structural endurance is that a sentence reasons, but I should be fine if I'm careful enough. Kinda obvious I oversprayed in some areas, though. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E6PGKE4V...name=4096x4096 |

Also, nice to see it's glowing in blue light. How's the runner for it? Might be able to reuse those runners as Zero-One's speed lines. |
