Kamen Rider Black Episodes 50-51: I am kind of thoroughly disappointed. Whale Mutant's death was sad, and not a good idea why do you want to piss off the powered-up Kotaro anyway? So he can kick your ass more?! The Creation King was kind of shitty in design and didn't seem threatening. The shock of using Battle Hopper against Black was surprising. I cried when Battle Hopper died I was so sad but his explosion pretty much led to Kotaro defeating Shadow Moon, getting the Satan Sabre, and using the Sabre to defeat both Shadow Moon, and the Creation King. Sheesh Birugenia could have killed Black so early he is the only decent Main General from this series. Shadow Moon was pretty lacking, the Creation King was a pathetic version of Egos from Battle Fever J. This was a disappointment especially the recap episode half of the final episode.

Final Thoughts:

Kotaro is an amazing fighter, and Showa Rider. A Great character, I can't wait to see more of him in Black RX.

Battle Hopper and Whale Mutant were two of my favorite supporting chracters.

Birugenia was one of my favorite villains. This was a fun ride, I honestly think it's not better than X or Super-1 for a Showa series but still was good.

Black RX 1: Well this definitely feels like a sequel to Black, and I am kind of more intrigued with Crisis than Golgom right now. Stopping Kotaro's henshin ability was crazy, and I think I vaguely remember the villains from Masked Rider. Though General Jak I remember from the Decade Movies and SHT's. Still I am happy that Battle Hopper got revived and I am still wondering how he got his new powers. The mystery here is great and I can't wait for more.

A bit of advice: stop thinking of RX as a direct sequel. There are very, very few references to Black itself and there are definitely parts of the show that come across feeling kind of weird if you try to reconcile them with Black, especially early on. I've been finding that Black RX works a lot better if you don't keep comparing it to Black.

Yeah, the Kotaro of Black is not the same Kotaro as Rx.

Black RX Episode 2: I definitely like the villains especially Gatezone right now but I liked him as a kid because I remember I had his toy. The King Stone talking to him reminded me of stuff going on with Gaim right now. I do love the Revolcane that's badass and good to see Battle Hopper back. I'll definitely try to not think of it as a sequel though.

Just started marathoning OOO today and I got 16 episodes in. I must say that I absolutely love this series already. Eiji is an awesome and unique Rider, and Ankh steals whatever scene he's in.


Kougami is probably one of the hammiest characters I've ever seen in my life. This guy is having an absolute blast, no matter what the situation is. By far one of the funniest moments is when he's basically chewing Gotou out for being an ass and just decides to splatter cake batter all over his face.

Assuming from the title, this is the episode where Birth gets introduced so I'm extremely excited for that, since I've heard he's one of the best secondary Riders period.

Black RX Episode 3: This is a much better episode, I am enjoying General Jak a lot right now and the Crisis Empire. So Crisis brought advanced technology and pretty much destroyed the Demon World...sounds close to home. The Knight of the Wind vs Black RX was a great fight especially with how honorable Kotaro was giving the Demon a chance and not killing him when the music box went off when it did. I am intrigued to see the Rideron. I don't mind silly joking around Kotaro I think he was kind of always like that, he's just with people who bring out the fun side of him.

Black RX Episode 4: Rideron looks really cool. Looks more like Amazon's car but still really cool. I enjoyed Kotaro being a dreamer and wanting to work hard to make his dream a reality. I also loved that they brought back the Sacred Sea Cave from Black that revived him. Gun Gadin was huge but honestly I know this was about Rideron but he probably could have just took out the Revolcane and impaled him. I also think Rideron took most of Road Sector's scenes too lol. Acrobatter was awesome though I am glad he can talk now, though I remember the bike being one of my favorite characters from Masked Rider so it's probably deep nostalgia here. Can't wait for more.

So I finished 555, and decided to start working on Ryuki. 555 was really good, but I feel like the entire series should have had the tag line 'D#@!s with belts."

Well other than Gaim I am still trying to find another Rider series to start. I am thinking of watching Hibiki or I might give Den-O a try.

PMLG/Delta is currently working on a new sub of Hibiki with vastly superior raws. They have the first eight episodes up so far, so I'd recommend trying those and seeing if you want to follow along. Or you can try to catch up with all of us doing the Let's Watch Wednesdays of Den-O. Both are good shows, although I personally like Hibiki more (than every other Rider show).

Black RX Episode 5: Overconfident, smug, bastards thinking Black RX couldn't make it there in an hour. Did you only watch how to shut down his transformation process when he was Black? I mean didn't you see all those times he made it in the nick of time? Hell now he has a faster vehicle. Lol well still good episode. Kotaro was very fun at the end acting clumsy and hiding that he is Black RX from his guessing girlfriend and the others. Poor Crisis you need to smarten up or you'll be crushed by Black RX. (I figure they'll be crushed by Black RX. lol)

Black RX Episode 6: This was a wonderful episode, I enjoyed Kotaro teaching Shigeru about true courage and that's it not fighting back against bullies. The Kyuru Kyuru Ten were tough opponents because of it being 3 on 1 but damn Kotaro kicked the shit out of them that was fucking sweet. He was beating one monster with another. Also I think the RX Kick is my favorite Rider Kick, that flip he did before going into it was pure awesomeness. Also it's very easy to defeat bad guys when you have a lightsaber.

I've really been slacking on watching it, but I'm up to episode 29 of Black RX. I'm only commenting because of how ridiculous it was. A girl's parents are murdered as part of Crisis' relatively ingenious but somehow clown-dependent plan to steal all of Japan's water. Naturally, the girl decides to seek vengeance...

by pointing her hand at stuff until she develops super powers.

Which actually works. :lol

Well I watched episode one of Den-O, pretty good so far. It has a pretty interesting idea, but I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Didn't you know? Japan is really only a 10 block radius and everywhere can be gotten to within 5 minutes if you are driving. The gravel pit is the center of the country.

You can literally jump to that quarry from any space in Tokyo.

Also, Ankh's reaction at the end of the episode when Date reveals himself is absolutely hilarious. Ankh as a whole just manages to steal the scene with two lines.

So far, I'm really loving OOOs. The two-parter format doesn't bug me as much as it should, and I love the characters. Unless it completely falls apart at the end, it's going to get a high spot on my list.

Rewatched the last episode of Fourze for like the 4th time, never fails to get me to shed some tears... Why do I do this to myself? Lol.

Been slowly wTching kamen rider faiz

With the exception of Paradise Lost which I'll be watching later today/tomorrow I finished up Faiz last night. The series has some serious problems. Inoue hates using the new toys which leads to some of the poorest development/excuses to why they come in. He also has so many ideas but quickly abandons them/ties them up very quickly for new ones. And I really didn't like what he did with Kiba in the final 7 episodes. Overall I didn't hate the experience though, there were some great characters and interesting plot elements. I never thought I'd be asking for a Figuarts Snake Orphnoch but Kaidou is so much fun. And of course the suit designs are amazing.

Now that I've watched his 3 main Heisei series though I can't help but notice it feels like Inoue really only has one story to tell and all 3 are just variations of that. Once I finish Paradise Lost and Kamen Rider Wars to wrap up Takumi and co I'll be moving onto the last Heisei show I haven't seen, Hibiki.

Cool to see more people watching Faiz.

Paradise Lost finished, my opinion of the film is pretty much that of the series. And Inoue's no allowed to write Kiba anymore, I really hate Not only him losing hope and the way it's done, but also his just as fast heel turn redemptions

Saving the best for last. :D

Decade episode 1

That intro was fucking awesome. All of the Heisei Riders and monsters going up against Decade and losing was awesome. Especially considering the pretty penny this series probably cost to make.

I see this show follows the Kingdom Hearts logic of multiple worlds, which is to say, there is none.

Tsukasa's kind of a dick. But the guy's got a sense of humor. And not in that "I'm doing something so ridiculous and playing it straight while doing it so you have to laugh," kind of way Tendou does.

Episode 2

Its like I'm actually watching a good episode of Kuuga lol.

To watch what is basically hypercondensed Kuuga that hits all of the bullet points and Tsukasa's trolling inbetween is an odd mix.

Black RX Episode 7: Meeting a childhood friend of Kotaro's was interesting. I'm really liking how this combines what I loved about Black with what I loved about the previous Showa Era shows together. I love the Crisis Henchmen because it means there is more fighting going on rather than just a fight with the monster of the week. Also I see where Ryuki came from with Maribaron and the monster having the ability to travel in the Mirror World. Also the Revolcane is freaking OP, and I love it lol.

Black RX Episode 8: Kotaro is so amazing. Tomoko this girl that was half crisis was very interesting. Her gaining powers and hating everything but winning back her humanity was great. I just loved how Kotaro just let her release her energy at him that he would take the attacks to help her because I'd do the same to help someone. I like that she learned he was Black RX that interesting too. I also liked the small fight between Kotaro and Bosgun too, I feel that the fights with the Generals will be interesting. Can't wait for more.

To stubborn to not do so, especially this close to the finish.

So I made it to episode 14 of Den-O. So far the show is pretty good, the imagin are pretty enjoyable. Now Den-O's forms are okay, Rod form I really don't like.

I'm just waiting for them to go to the future.

You're going to be in for a long wait.

Any one episode of Decade is anywhere from good to fantastic, which is the shows strongest point. The bad comes at the end, when you finish the show and the movies and you realize that you really don't know much of anything more about Tsukasa (or really, anyone) as a character than when you started. But the individual episodes are great re-imaginings of the worlds of the older KR shows (seriously, Ryuki's World is awesome).

Actually, Decade starts to suck right after they hit Blade and Ryuki world.
