My wallet is going to cry over getting those two, but it will be worth it a million fold.
|
I'm going to wait to see if Bluefin will release Blue Beet & Black Beet before I pre-order them. If they don't then I will likely pre-order them on the last minute on CSToys. Blue Beet & Black Beet look fantastic though. I'm surprise we are getting B-Fighter figuarts. Either we are getting a new V-Cinema soon or they are doing it for nostalgia reasons.
|
Got Gaim Kiwami in; AmiAmi's initially sold out in a matter of minutes, for now, of course.
|
I tried on my phone and laptop simultaneously. Got it on my phone. Laptop said sold out.
|
I really want Kiwamii, but with how crazy my preorders are right now, and how many web exclusives I want...I just couldn't do it...
|
It's super irritating that figures get sold out in a few seconds.

Though more Sentai stuff would be preferred still, if we get other properties brought over and Americanized in the 90s, I'm all for it. Beetleborgs would be great if brought over here. VR Troopers related stuff would be of interest too since I know at least one of the suits (Ryan's second form) has been made as a Figuarts figure. |

I'm really hoping we see the rest of the B-Fighter/Beetleborg suits. |
Well, I thankfully managed to snag a Kiwami at N-Y. That, at the moment, leaves Kachidoki as the only SHF Gaim figure I haven't been able to pre-order.
|
VR Troopers Figuarts would be cool, but I'm not sure how well they will sell here. Most people seem to forgot about that show. MMPR and Beetleborg were Saban's most popular Toku shows. Most casual people seem to forgot about Masked Rider too.
|
People often forget about those shows because they were awful :lol
VR had some quirky charm but Masked Rider in particular was just bad. But there isn't even remotely enough US demand to get those figs off the ground like there was for MMPR. Blue Beet & Black Beet are happening because of the Japanese market for them. There isn't even an indication that they would come to the US right now. Bluefin is still testing whether people even want them. And being that Beetleborgs was more popular than VR in the US and their release is in question, the eventuality of VR SHF's is slim in the US. Though if the B-Fighters sell well in Japan I imagine they would eventually get to the other shows that made up VR via the Taashii Web Shop. Shaider already came out, Metalder is popular enough to be inevitable now I believe, Spielban & Diana Lady would be needed to round out the cast from the US though. And I'm unsure of how popular Spielban as a show was. |
Wait, Kiwami is up for preorder? Is it a web exclusive or what? Because HLJ doesn’t seem to have him yet. But AmiAmi doesn’t usually carry exclusives, right? Seems like I have to play the waiting game.
Anyway, is there a reliable site that is still taking preorders for Zangetsu Shin? I was very late to the Figuart game so I didn’t get one. But maybe I can snag one after he is released, I only got Gridon after he was out, before then he was sold out to. |

As for Shin Zangetsu, the preorder window expired so I doubt many of the middleman sites have it available still. Unless there's an outlier than still has it open, you'll have to wait for it to be released and see orders reopen at the middleman sites and/or wait for some to pop up on Mandarake/Jungle. |

Ah I see, thank you. I hope Nippon Yasan will have some Zangetsu Shin's left after he is released, they may put the price point a little higher, but still nothing I'm not willing to pay for this figure.
I will wait until Kiwami is up on HLJ, even if he is sold out fast, I usually get the chance of preordering Figuarts there, after the initial huge wave of preorders the products go up for order again quite often. More like every time, all of the Figuarts I have ordered were sold out when I found them, but I had the chance to get an order in every time. |

You know, with all the bad stuff I'm hearing about them, I never had a problem. Not once. And to be honest, I hear stories like that about every site here and there, problems can happen on every site. I didn’t want to order at NY because someone told me a horrible story about them, but trying them out its not so bad.
Also, I spend enough money at HLJ that I feel confident enough to make a big scene should they ever try to mess with me. I can be quite compelling if I want to, some dealers who thought they could screw me over had to learn that the hard way. |

I'm sure all of us can be "compelling" too, but I'd rather just avoid the possibility entirely, at this point, especially when there's no guarantee that no matter how big a fuss I or others might raise that they will fix their issues. When profits start shifting though... |

this page was created today. I think we should start more pages like this and create some steam to show Bandai what we want. |

That would also be amazing and would probably get a ridiculous amount of likes lol

Bleh, Gridon made it state-side but now he's in customs...

Plus you know, metal suit and all.

My Gridon is already in New York. Funny, this was the one instance where I was hoping my item would be delivered later rather than sooner since I'm not going to be at the delivery address for a couple of weeks. Ah well.

I just hate that we've seen prototypes to the complete teams for Jetman and Boukenger, but that was it. I don't recall if it showed the Dairangers in prototype form, I feel like they did somewhere. But all the teams they could at least try to finish somehow. |

Well they'd have to remold I think a little bit for differing heights and obviously for Rin's sculpt, plus all of the helmets. But yes you're right, you'd think it wouldn't be that difficult to just make the rest of a team. None of them should be excusable but Goseiger is one that at least needs to have Red made, there's no excuse for that.

Heck, In Space/Megaranger would pretty much just need different colors of the same figure six times. |
Same would go for a team like GoGoV, Timeranger, Magiranger, Fiveman, and a lot more. Just repaint and add in a few new helmet details.
|
Yeah. Hell, anybody with good quality paint and some time can do full teams using the same base figure.

I'm starting to honk Bandai is stretching out the Sentai releases, simply because of the dislike in Japan and the love we have in the west. Probably hard to make out what teams should be next, what mold works best, and how to market it and still have it sell well in both markets. With an anniversary coming up, I think they want to we what they can market. Add in the Legend War in SMF, and then you have to account for what Ranger/team ranks well after that airs. Depending on how Saban does it, this could be a boon or bomb for Sentai Figuarts initially. Who knows, maybe JDF could help bolster some love for other Rangers like he seems to do on his Facebook page. So I think, all this in conjunction with Akibaranger, may tell us what to expect from Bandai on the Sentai front.
