Seriously? Maybe because I like getting my figures when they release and not a month later? And it's almost guaranteed to be cheaper on Mandarake, and is guaranteed to be cheaper on Amiami. So yeah, don't use Amazon. So please don't try and "inform" on how Amazon works as though I don't know. I don't use it because I don't want to.

There's a few of my MonsterArts where I've gotten them cheaper on Amazon than I could've importing from AmiAmi or Mandarake, but that's apples and oranges compared to something like Rider Figuarts. Sentai (and non-toku properties) are more like 50/50 on the deals possible.

Not to mention bargain shopping on Amazon takes a lot of patience and attentiveness. You don't get the luxury of waiting around for months on certain Riders, as the more popular Figuarts are more likely to sell out faster and Amazon's supplies of them seem more limited this past year. It sucks to not be considered a "strategic property" in the US.

I saw them announced and liked them, then watched the adverts of them and absolutely had to get them. They're going to chill with my Daft Punk figuarts, I think.

Anyone know why BBTS hasn't put up Kiwami arm figuarts? I was hoping to use them as a last resort since Kiwami was sold out since I was on vacation and couldn't snag a pre-order of him on AmiAmi.

Maybe they're still working it out with whatever vendors they use to acquire the stock they want, given Bluefin isn't bringing over the Gaim Figuarts and BBTS is left to their own middlemen.

As for me, guess what I'm doing this weekend!

Thanks to work, SDCC and other stuff getting in the way, I've had a major backlog in general pile up, especially on the Figuarts end. Figured its about time I start unboxing stuff and rearranging my displays.

I got S.H Figuarts Kamen Rider OOO Tajadol Combo from Otakon the other day and I think he is a great figure. The joints move very nice, the detail and paint look fantastic. Maybe it's just me, but I notice the Taja Spinner does not hold up very well when you first put in the figures hand. I hope Putotyra Combo gets reissue because he's so much now these days. The other OOO's forms are still pretty easy to find and can be bought cheap on sites like Ebay.

The only time I use amazon is if I'm unsure if I can fit something in my budget and it happens to not be something I "need."

Or if it's something that AmiAmi English doesn't list. Like Sailor Jupiter. Will be waiting for a decent price on that.

Oh so HLJ is still carrying Kachidoki arms and Kiwami arm figuarts... I guess I'll take my chance with them.

It looks like Ryugen is still in stock on CStoys. If I had some more money left over then I would have buy him. By the time I get my next pay check, he will likely be out of stock. I'm waiting for S.H.Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon & Jungler Set to be up this week on CStoys, so I can try to pre-order it. It's the only for me to complete my Showa rider collection now.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who bought those movie guys, seriously as soon as I saw them I had to have them, they'd make for great mooks and it'll be fun to put other figure's heads on their bodies.

A bit PO'd with Mandarake. I've spend thousands of dollars on their store, but I've never encountered this BS before.

I made an order of 6100Y, however one of the items is out of stock. That really sucks, but its not really their fault so no biggie. My problem is that because that drops the order to 3600Y they want to charge me another 500Y handling fee.

How about get lost? I made an order that fit the criteria to avoid the handling fee, it was them that couldn't provide the merchandise. Why should I have to pay more because they listed an out of stock item? That's ludicrously shit. I can understand if my order wasn't over 5000Y to begin with, but I shouldn't be paying extra for their errors. Really not happy with that crappy service. I'm already missing out, don't put salt on the wound of the customers that aren't getting what they wanted, Mandarake!

I emailed them politely explaining the situation and asking that the handling fee be revoked, but I will be really disenchanted with them if they don't. I don't think its fair to say "order over 5000Y to avoid handling fee" and then "lol whoops we already sold one of those items, here's that handling fee you were meant to avoid!" especially considering one of the left over items was actually order filler to being with!

This is why there is an option during checkout to choose to cancel your order if an item goes out of stock.

You chose not to select that.

This is a policy that they are incredibly upfront about and warn you repeatedly. No, your order actually does not fit that criteria anymore. It's as if you had never ordered the other items anymore... because you aren't getting them now. So you're below the minimum. Like they warned. Plain and simple.

I don't really feel that you have a right to complain if you don't heed the warnings and be cautious with the orders by selecting to cancel. If you don't pick that option, you are actually saying that "I am okay with the fee if this happens."

CStoys has new figuarts up for pre-order. It looks like they have a new rule only limiting down for 24 pre-orders. I'm surprise that SHF Ryugen is still up on CStoys. I guess people really must hate Mitchy at the moment not to buy a SHF of Ryugen.

Though I agree the 500 yen fee thing is up front, I will caveat all this by saying I submitted an order some time back that was over the 5000 minimum, but one of the items had sold, dropping it below the minimum...and I was not charged the 500 yen fee. Maybe it was an "oops" on their part and they just forgot to add it.

Mandarake has always worked this way. That's why when I place orders, I always check the cancel if out of stock option. That way, if there are any discrepancies, I can just reorder the same items and add a different item to push it back up over 5000.

In my experience Mandarake has never not charged me the 500 yen if my final order came in under 5000. Even if my initial order was 10,000+. If you come in under 5000 in the end, they charge it, always. I've spent a seriously ridiculous amount of money with them over the years and never not paid the fee on orders under 5000.

As others have stated that's why they give you the option to cancel an order if 1 or more items are out of stock. To keep from shipping only a few of the things you wanted, and to keep from paying that additional fee if your order comes under as a result of a cancellation.

I apologize if this comes off rudely, but getting upset because they didn't have something in stock is kind of silly too. Especially considering they've always operated on this dual store front/online sales model that features all the same items. With an inventory as huge as theirs, and with a system like that, is it really that surprising that sometimes they're sold out of something online? They sell out of stuff I want all the time.

In any case, this is an S.H. Figuarts discussion thread. NOT an air out your issues with an online retailer thread. So please, keep the discussion focused people.

Which would be understandable if they actually stated that if they can't fulfill your order then they'd still charge you, which they don't. I shouldn't have to constantly risk everything and then try and catch it when it goes back up because they charge you extra for not fulfilling the order. I only tick the box when there's something in the order that I really don't want to miss out on and the others I don't care so much about. Ticking the box when you actually want the whole order is just stupid.

We are a month away from Akaranger coming out. That is pretty exciting. I can't wait to add him to my collection of red rangers

I haven't seen Goranger but yeah, I'm pretty hyped for his release, even though I won't be able to get him for a while. Whenever I do get him I definitely plan to put him right next to Ichigo.

Happy to say that Mandarake got rid of the Handling Fee for me, so for any person stuck in a similar situation, know that if you contact them then they'll fix it for you. The people saying otherwise were absolutely incorrect.

No one told you that they wouldn't "fix" it so I don't understand whose incorrect about what. More importantly though please take this line of discussion to the appropriate thread. We have a toy buying resources thread in the sales forum to specifically talk about positives/negatives with retailers and whether they're reliable. Every user in this thread needs to start taking retailer oriented discussion of this manner to a thread like that. From this point on it does not belong here.

Does anyone know when Shin zangetsu comes out? I missed the preorders so really want to try and get my hands on it when it drops.

Nippon Yasan says the 26th of August is when he'll be released.

And it depends on when you go for it. I'm sure Nippon-Yasan will have some in stock once it is released, has been the case for all their Figuarts (Web exclusives too, got my Gridon there after release) and most middleman will have him too.

But of course, if you plan to wait a year or so, things could be a little more difficult.

How often does preorders sell out at CStoys? I'm not a fan of paying upfront and would rather wait for the figure to come out and buy it instead.

About a month into owning Baron and Gaim and the report is good. The figures are still in great condition, and there's no major problems. Yes I knocked on wood after I typed that. The one problem I still have is the clip for the Musou Saber. It makes posing that leg extremely difficult. And it pops off if you look at it.

I don’t think you will miss out on him, but prepare to pay a little bit more.

Same here, mine are still fine too. And Gaim made a hard dive jump of my old shelf, I though he would explode to pieces but he's still fine, no visible damage whatsoever.

And it seems I'm quite lucky with my clips, both hold well on Gaim and Zangetsu, only minor nitpick is that the Musou Saber doesn’t hold as tight in its clip on Gaim, on Zangetsu it holds it perfectly tight. The few QC-issues I have on these guys limit to popping of armor pieces on one hand and an elbow, on the elbow of Baron I could just plug it back on and with the armor pad on one of my Zangetsu hands a little glue was enough to fix it. I'm really satisfied with all my four Gaim-FiguArts as of now.

So I've finally been getting around to working a lot of my Figuarts back log into my display along with rediscovering a few of my old ones that I've shelved.

Can't beleive I'm saying this, but I'm kinda sick of Figuarts right now.

Because of the sheer quantity, or some other reason?

It's probably because I've spent a majority of last night opening and reposing at least 10-15+ figures, and a good majority of them are the same.
