They look great! I remember Charizard and Genesect were released in English-speaking countries, weren't they? Do you need to paint/assemble them?

They are model kits so yeah you have to build them, no glue or paint required though, stickers are used for details.

*Edit: I don't know if the kits were released in the USA but if they were Charizard should come with Charmeleon and Charmander too.

No, those are called "Model Kits" but they're not really. They're really badly gimmicked toys. Different from the PokéPla kits.

Oh no, not at all, those are gimmick figures like PkmnMstr said.

These are the Pokepla Charizard and Genesect.
More in line with gundam kits and the like, and yes stickers are required, the amount varies depending on which pokemon.

The Plamon Neo "kits" are fully painted and have a battery powered gimmick.

The much cheaper Poképla model kits feature some articulation and sometimes a movement mechanic. For example Pikachu(the only one I own) has a mechanism where the ears wiggle when you turn its head. It's super adorable.

And yes the actual build kits have stickers for some details.
