Saw Agito 20-25. Houjou really confuses me. I know he's not supposed to be a likable character, but geez. Obviously saving lives would get you the attention you want. Work with the G3 Unit, even if it's not genuine. You'd still bask in the glory you think you deserve. Arrogance is one thing in a character but when a character gives off the feeling that they lack common sense people start to not care about them. Everyone else though was in top form. Sumiko kept her good judgements as a person & character relationships with so many people. Hikawa's really grown on me. I love that he's the strong, handsome dude that has such an air of childishness that he feels so naive & innocent. His comedy bits with Shouichi are still enjoyable & this arc actually built off of that as plot points & character development for him. Speaking of Shouichi.......things are about to go down. And dammit man, can Ryo get something positive happen to him? Just once? Please? Hopefully his next arc has a moment for him atleast. Also our "villain" was noticeably absent for all these episodes. I've got mixed feelings about that. Overall Agito's still a pretty fun watch. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Black RX Episode 32: Maribaron continues her plans of deceit with trying to convince this girl that she is Yuko and have her restore the keys to the Demon World. Well it was good the real Yuko came in and showed she was the real one. Kotaro and Reiko learning more that Crisis's world was actually called the Land of Paradise was pretty interesting that they learn that it was a nice place before Emperor Crisis took over and fucked up the place. The fight with the Rock Demon was pretty nice especially with throwing the Revolcane and then going to push it in more was pretty awesome. The next episode looks exciting too.
Black RX Episode 33: Some days you can get rid of a bomb lol. I like that Dasmader has returned and threatened the party and I love that Gatezone and joined sides with him because he shouldn't have been treated like that, I mean the others have failed worse than him. Weirdly enough I wonder what happened to Joe the Haze he's like been gone for a long time now or did I miss him leaving Kotaro. Also it was good to not have Maribaron in an episode she gets annoying. Kotaro and Reiko working together is pretty awesome and Kotaro jumping out of a helicopter was pretty awesome. Loved the henchmen fight and then Bio Rider got a great amount of screen time this episode to kick ass, stop a bomb, and pretty much smack a monster down the stairs. Bio Rider was a beast this episode and it was awesome. I am intrigued with Gatezone's plan that will continue off this episode. Nice to see some two-parters. |
Anywhere I can watch Kamen Rider Kuuga? Pretty much all of the episodes for it have been taken down from Youtube, and I can find every single other Heisei Rider series online EXCEPT for Kuuga.
|
I thought it had something to do with TV Nihon subbing the season, so everyone else who had done so were forced to remove it. Though they didn't sub all the episodes last I checked which is dumb.

Oh man, now I feel bad that I've been deleting the MCS Kuuga subs as I finish them. I've got around 34-ish to the end I can arrange to provide for people, on a limited basis, if earlier episodes can be found.
if you need them, contact me directly, cuz I rarely keep up with this thread. |
You could always try Facebook. I know a lot of people tend to upload toku stuff there.

Black RX Episode 34: Well awesome to see Kenji Ohba in Kamen Rider, I didn't think he was in it but glad to see he played a small role in this. Dasmader and Gatezone's plan was pretty good but still they left too many breadcrumbs that Kotaro and Reiko could find. Reiko has definitely be helpful for Kotaro in discovering parts of Crisis's plans. Just really fun to see Kenji Ohba in this with Kotaro so that was a lot of fun. Also seeing Robo Rider pretty much kick ass like Bio Rider did the last episode was totally awesome. I don't know why they moved away from having the new forms finish the enemies but I do love the RX Kick and Revolcane so not really complaining. Next episode looks exciting.
Black RX Episode 35: This definitely was exciting. Hacking the police computer to make Kotaro a fugitive and arrest other people was a great plan. I also like that Dasmader was manipulating some of the events to achieve his goal against General Jak and the others. Black RX breaking out of prison was fun to see and I liked that he stayed transformed because Black RX isn't a fugitive and it's good to have a secret identity. Also I love the split second transformations of Kotaro this time with turning into Bio Rider to protect his heart from being punctured and then acting dead to be brought to the enemy's base. Kotaro is definitely brilliant with his plans even with having a monster inside his body causing him pain. Bio Rider kicked ass again and Kotaro has definitely become a better fighter as RX which I like a lot. Next episode seems interesting. |
Finished Agito 26-33. It's about time the identities of the Riders were known. And even then Hikawa still doesn't know who Agito is. That's probably my biggest complaint with Agito as a series. So many times where the characters could've easily found out who's behind the mask during fights but simple things like "Where were you?" & "How'd you get here?" weren't asked. That bothers me & I hope it's not a trend in these early Heisei seasons. Ryo's episode with that little kid was pointless. There was nothing to gain but the bike's Gills-esque appearance. Ryo didn't learn anything that he didn't already know & that kid is, which I am more than confident in guessing, not gonna be around doing important things for Ryo's character later on. The moment when Ryo sees someone not afraid of him could've been done with better characters, not some seemingly one-off child. Also why was Ryo shafted in the powerup category? Hikawa gets G3-X, Shouichi gets Trinity, Gills gets.......his bike green. Why? It was random & unnecessary, not building or adding on to its debut episode. Speaking of bikes it's been quite a bit of time since Shouichi used his bike's hover feature (which he has for reasons I still don't get). Why has it only been used sparingly? Plus Shouichi getting his memory back but almost instantly losing it was a huge negative for me. It felt like there was something major that he was about to do & not be the foolish hero, though that moment was ruined. I know they wanted to keep the suspense but come on. Why not have him find a clue leading to his past instead of playing keep-away with his brain? Hitting the brakes when you're stomping on the gas pedal can only lead to accidents, so I don't want that to affect the show. What I did like were character moments. I wish Mana's new comrades didn't feel tacked on, but they're still interesting to see. Her family's close moment together felt sweet & made-up for some bad vibes the recent episodes gave me. Also the "villains" seem to be stepping up their game which is a nice thing. This is probably the most down I've been on Agito, which is a shame because I thought its scattered pieces were gonna fit together well as the show progressed. Now we're going through a rough patch that I hope isn't around for much longer. Sorry if I went on for too long. XD

Watched Agito 36-44. Better batch of episodes than the previous. Really enjoy the "villains" this time around. Hikawa was good again but then irked me when he was dealing with Agito's identity. I guess in Japan people have much higher standards of idols & stuff. But when Shouichi is about to be shot in the face you don't stand there wondering why he's Agito, you try to save him like the cop & character you are. That part really felt forced. Ryo was great & thankfully got a proper power-up. His character moments with Kino & the kid Mana met were high points as well. Speaking of Kino he's a mixed bag for me. Yeah, he's supposed to come off as wrong but sympathetic. However I don't get his sudden urge to kill any other super-powered beings. Another instance of forcing characters to do certain things. Shouichi ended up being used better this time. His past as well as the origin of his powers was a cool one. Though his Shining Form was unnecessary. Again, forced. Like I've been saying this whole time Agito continues to do well despite its faults. Interested to see how the ending plays out.

But... as someone who dislikes his writing as well, I can calm you a bit. While there is a lot of Inoue stuff in early Heisei, there's still enough other stuff you'll enjoy. |
Oh, I know there will be. And I am looking forward to what the early Heisei era has to offer. I'm just noticing some things I don't like is all. Thanks for reassuring me, though.

Kamen Rider Black RX
Alright, I finally watched a few of these a while back. I knew this wasn't going be the same tone as Black, but it is rather jarring at points because of ill-timed and forced "Humour" I don't believe something like child endangerment/kidnapping should have slapstick, very badly done slapstick, injected. You can mix sad moments with contrasting ones, but I don't believe this is the way to do it. There are also some deus ex machina moments too, such as when Kotaro travels to the demon world and Acrobatter and Ridoron are there. They explain that wherever Kotaro is, they will be too. I'm fine with that even if the how isn't explained, but my problem is that later on Ridoron is used to return to Earth, and it isn't explained how the hell that works. All that being said, I think the later episodes are really good. Inspite of the deus ex machina mentioned previously, the multi-part episode arc involving the demon world are the best episodes I've seen so far, the writing is strong, it knows when to be serious for the most part. RoboRiders début in particular is wonderfully handled, and I believe a lot of that is Tetsuo Kurata's really great performance. I don't think I've ever heard anyone scream like he does in episode 15. I also just love seeing when villains actively fuck with the hero. Btw, I can't help but think Deathgaron in episode 14 and 15 looks like a heavily mutated Shadow Moon. I seriously wonder if he started out as a White RX concept, because he has a belt with two green circles not unlike the sun riser, and he bares a strong resemblance to a grasshopper, even more so than RX, in much the same way Shadow Moon looked more robotic than Black. But maybe I'm just seeing things. Kamen Rider Stronger I've really been enjoying Stronger, and it's one of my favourites (so far) of the early shows. A lot of Black Satan's schemes are really fucking macabre which I kinda enjoy. Other times it's just petty for an organization such as them, which I find perplexing.(Although you can say this about most villains in the Showa era) Seeing really messed up thing like them trying to poison School Children, are things I can see an evil organization doing. But then you have petty things, like a Biker Gang causing wrecks. Yeah it's horrible, but it's not something I can see causing mass panic. Still, you can only take something with foot soldiers as goofy looking as the Black Satan "Owl" soldiers seriously. I think the regular mooks are the goofiest I've ever seen, even Shocker Combatmen were more intimidating. But it's entertaining as hell whenever they appear, for all the wrong reasons. Episode 3 in probably the Epitome of this, in which those things are in pedal boats. I'm also enjoying Tackle actually kicking ass, at least sometimes. It's really annoying whenever "her being a silly woman" is brought up in the first few episodes, But is thankfully played down later on. I can only get so upset at something from 1975, and from Japan no less. Still, having her not being able to take down regular grunts when the plot deems it convenient...it's frustrating to say the least. As for Shigeru, I don't have much of a strong opinion. Really there hasn't been much elaborated on him, the same could be said for Yuriko too but she at least has a big sister thing going for her with the Children featured. I do love how he came to be, basically tricking, or rather banking on Black Satan's incompetence and them not brainwashing him as a precaution. Seeing all the scientists with a "Oh shit, not again" look was just funny to me. Also if Bandai Premium ever does Showa era items, I want Shigeru's denim Rose jacket, because I love that thing. Kamen Rider OOO I started this up again. Really my opinion hasn't change much from the last time, mainly because I haven't gotten much further in the series. I still enjoy Eiji being a character that's fully aware that saving everyone is an impossibility, but that you must try as hard as you can, whenever you can. Ankh continues to be a loveable, arrogant, smartass. Even this early in the series though, I have a pretty good idea of where the characterization for these two is going, because I've seen this type of contrasting characterization in other works. Usually the good one becoming corrupt at some point and the not so bad guy becoming a bit more humble, sometimes reluctantly. How the subject of greed is handled is done well, that wanting material or frivolous things isn't a bad thing, but that you can't be consumed by it.(Bandai has to sell those figuarts after all :p) As far as the Greeed go, my favorite so far is Mezool. I just love how she teases Eiji, calling him OOOs boy. Oh, and of course Kousei Kougami is a riot, but that's a given. Kamen Rider Blade. Only watched the first episode of this, but I really enjoyed it. I only have one complaint and that the Kurihara family's dialogue felt a bit unnatural and exposition heavy(Although I loved Amane being cheeky). Everything else was great, the atmosphere with B.O.A.R.D. (Which raises flags for me, I don't trust big organizations that capture monsters) I like the humor, I liked all the little set ups for later episodes, I like how it ends just as all hell breaks loose and a fight starts, making for a great cliffhanger. I will certainly watch more Blade when I can. |
So I just got done watching Kamen Rider G and I got to say that I thought it was pretty good. The best part was the group's reactions to the cheesy wine-related one-liners.:lolol

Kamen Rider Stronger episode 39
This is it, the finale of Stronger and, at the time, at least, the last episode of Kamen Rider. Ratings had been on a constant decline since X, hit new show Himitsu Sentai Gorenger had taken over the traditional time slot, and Stronger's episode run ended up shorter than anticipated (according to vague memory of hearsay). So this episode was meant to send off the Rider franchise with appearances from all the previous main actors, a final showdown with the Great Leader, and a nice montage of highlights from all five shows. Did it work? Eh, kinda. It is so awesome to see all seven of the classic Riders together outside of their suits. There are only a few short scenes of it, but it's hard not to grin when Tachibana Tobei wakes up to see those seven familiar faces looking down on him. I just really, really wish the show had set aside a minute or two for an all-Rider transformation sequence, poses and all. I am a huge sucker for those. Still, it was great to see them all together and all fighting to take down the remaining Delza generals. The fight with the Great Leader, though... it's hard not to see that as an anti-climax. The first part of the fight, where he's a giant rock monster is awesome. There's some great use of forced perspective and some decent use of props to create a giant fist, foot, and head to punch. I suppose the bits where the monster suit is obviously swinging around Rider dolls doesn't work that well, but I can accept that as a trade-off because we got to see Amazon jump on a giant rock leg and try biting it. The end of the fight, though... ugh. The Riders join hands, run through a tunnel, and then stand there while a brain monster babbles about returning to space then explodes. Not exactly a shining, epic victory. Still, it was a good episode and the final montage of stills from the first five shows accompanied by first V3's and then the original series' theme songs was a great way to cap off the last episode of Kamen Rider ever... Until 1979. |
Haven't had a whole lot of time recently, but I did get to watch the newest Drive episode at least. Dimension cab is a rather kool idea and finally seeing Dream Vega's finisher was awesome to boot.

Just closed off Agito 45-51. What a finale, or rather "What's a finale?" because I don't think the show knows. Lots of things I didn't like about the show came back in full force.
We're treated to a 1 month time-skip for reasons I'm still not sure off, and the time-skip didn't accomplish anything for the show. The show makes it feel like the time-skip's job was to make Houjou see future Agito's as more dangerous than the monsters when he could've come to that conclusion in less than 30 days. The G3 Unit was broken up & we're lead to feel bad about it despite the fact that we didn't get to see the Unit act as individuals long enough to care. Also Hikawa, my favorite character from Agito, is now suddenly okay with Shouichi being Agito? I don't get it. Aside from that he was pretty good through to the finale. Proving that he could play with the big boys despite just being human was cool & continuing to be a cop to the end fits him completely. Kino was killed.....that's it. He just randomly croaked on his couch in front of Ryou. I guess the kid that wants to be a doctor now wasn't important enough for us to see his reaction to Kino's death considering he looked up to Kino as a role model. That was a dumb move. And we never got an explanation for why his right arm only stops him at some times from hurting others. But the show tries to wave over that by redeeming him instead. Also dumb. Speaking of Ryou him & Shouichi shared some nice interactions with random characters that felt like they would've benefited from if they weren't so deep into the show. But of course it's not Agito if we don't make Ryou suffer for no good reason. Killing the girl that he was begrudgingly attached to.....what did it do for his character? What did it do for the story? All that happened was that Ryou literally became suicidal and let a monster kill him.......only for him to come back for no good reason shouting that he's immortal. Yeah, his character was ruined. He got a little dog a year later in the middle if nowhere. He was ruined. Shouichi at least faired a little better. That dude that used to be with his sister (didn't here his name enough times) made a great moment happen with Shouichi. Mana didn't do much but run from Shouichi for nothing. Does she not trust Shouichi & that's why she's pushing him away? Does she not want him to feel bad so she's pushing him away? And how did her growth occur? She learned she could be a potential Agito only for that to go nowhere. Shouichi didn't even try to comfort her about it like he halfassedly did with Kana. And why does she still have powers to begin with? Weren't they all used up reviving Ryou? Then there's the God-like entity that was the villain for the season. What was he doing for a whole month? Recovering? I dunno from what because he got hurt more from Shouichi after the time-skip than before. Don't get why all the meaningless symbolism was needed. So he's gonna kill all the humans. Right, that's what happens whenever a show puts a God-type character as the antagonist. Why kill only the Scorpios first? Probably just to make Ryou go into a catatonic state. Why make monsters from stars? We're they always like that? Why did the constellation make a cross-shape when the "light & darkness" stuff was all about Asian myths involving the Yin-Yang? Are they combining mythologies? Why? And if that's how the monsters were made why were the astronomers acting like it's the first time they've seen it? Then of course his defeat. It's difficult to handle having an omnipotent villain, but that's the writer's fault for putting one in there to begin with. So being kicked with Agito's power made him believe humanity the deserved a chance to grow on its own. Not really. All the kick did was prove that future Agito's had potential, not all humans. But the writers messed up the whole season so I don't doubt they messed up the message. Plus why were the two Gods fighting in the first place? They just hate each other? Why? Why did the light-one show up on the ship? He just randomly dropped there despite the fight happening long ago? You know what, I'm done talking about this because I'm just confusing myself. The best part of these episodes for me was seeing Shouichi's ending as a restaurant owner. He named it Agito! That was awesome! All in all Agito was okay at best. I think this season has the popularity it does in the fandom because of all the faux symbolism and the illusion that the show is being mysterious. It wasn't mystery to me, it was writing mistakes. We get Shouichi saying he remembers everything closing out an episode only to find that the next episode shows he actually doesn't & that it doesn't really matter anyway since he just lost it again. Then there inconsistencies with him reacting to only a select few Unknown instead of reacting to all of them like his powers were established to do. Ryou started off strong but had very shaky handling that didn't leave him in an acceptable position as a character. Hikawa was easily the best character & even he was done kinda iffy later on. I like all of the ideas Agito presented but they couldn't execute them to save their lives. I hope Ryuki does a better job, because while I do think Agito was better than the bare-bones, almost-boring Kuuga, Agito failed to deliver. It was just barely fine. |
Black RX Episode 36: Gedorian came up with a very good plan this time, I liked that the other generals didn't know about it in the beginning. Having the Great Mask win in sports and become a hero makes sense, though there is more to being a hero than just being good in sports. I like the usage more of Shigeru and the family again they were used less a couple episodes ago so I like them more. I like that Bio Rider can merge with people's cells that could a very intriguing way to fight and I loved how they proved that Great Mask was a fraud. Also Bio Rider kicked ass and I liked the new special effects they added in this episode too. The next episode will probably answer my question of where the hell Joe the Haze went because I missed him. Fun episode this one was though.
Black RX Episode 37: I love how Bosgan just one-upped Maribaron with his plan, I think he just became one of my favorites from that alone lol. I was so happy that Joe The Haze returned because he is so awesome, and that he was resting was a good explanation. Yeah pretty much Jotaro is my BrOTP lol or at least one of them. I like how the monster was disguised as Joe, it was a good plan so far, but still just loved the fights with Joe, Kotaro, and Reiko together. |
Just finished watching kiva again.btw any watched drive yet how is it so far?

W Episodes 3-4: Yay I'm finally continuing it with my bro! I loved this, Shotarou, Philip, and Akiko are so much fun, I love their chemistry with each other. I was really intrigued with Philip's back story with not knowing anything about his family and how it was affecting him. The back story with the big crime family was interesting, the Nasca Dopant is pretty intriguing too. I love how Philip and Shotarou tricked the guy at the end in Old Maid leading to his loss. I love the different forms too and how he can use them all pretty much from the get go is pretty awesome, though I'm sure if he existed now there would be a hell of a lot more Gaia Memories for him lol. Can't wait for more. |
Black RX Episode 38: This has to be my favorite episode of Black RX so far, and one of the best. First off, it starts off in the middle of the action with Kotaro and Joe taking out the fog generators of Crisis, which leads to the first immigration of Crisis people not being able to handle the Earth's environment so they all die which was shocking to see how bad they were effected. Next they bring back Kyoko which is awesome because I loved how the characters returned in Black so I'm glad that continued because she was very helpful in infiltrating Crisis's plan and getting Kotaro and Joe here to help her stop it. I loved that Joe and Kyoko got some pretty good action defeating Crisis soldiers so it's not just Kotaro fighting everyone here. Maribaron letting slip about the Reinforcement Cells on how the Generals are surviving on Earth was huge, I was wondering how they were able to survive here. I was shocked that General Jak saved Maribaron from Dasmader, I mean I was waiting for it to happen eventually but it was something else, also I swear that sword that Jak used was from Super-1 just repainted lol. I'm glad Dasmader isn't dead because their needs to be more of an inner battle here with the villains. Fantastic episode and I'm glad it's setting up more for the end.

Black RX Episode 39: I like that desperation is creeping up on General Jak and the villains that they have to pull out all the stops and work together before they get executed for failing, and to be honest they should be. This group has failed so bad with the death of the Princess and the first group of Immigrants. Intriguing plan to use Shigeru, Reiko, and Joe to try and kill Black RX but not knowing he bleeds really screwed up their plans and destroyed the Demon Guns, which I'll just go with that seeing Black RX bleed made the systems feel like they were complete or they were just able to snap out of it because they saw Kotaro was hurt, either way works for me. I also love the split second transformation into Bio Rider, that was awesome too. I can't wait for Dasmader to get involved it's now time for him to show his moves and it looks exciting.

So far I'm up to episode 15 with Agito. Two things to note:
- This show so far is FANTASTIC. I've watched a lot of Rider series up until now, but it's been so easy for me to marathon this show because it manages to capture my interest right from the first episode. I think the only Rider series to do that thus far have been Gaim and Drive. I love everything; the atmosphere, the designs, the characters, the plot. It's really, really good. A lot of the monsters are legitimately creepy and Gills' mouthplate actually opening and closing really took me by surprise, in a good way. - Also, FUCK Hojo. And this is coming from somebody who liked both Kusaka and Micchy. I literally lept out of my chair for joy when Hikawa socked him in the jaw. |
Quote:
Be sure to watch the Agito 35.5 Special when you get to it, it has one of the other greatest moments in the series dealing with Hojo. I hate Hojo too and liked Kusaka and Micchy as well. and to not double post. Black RX Episode 40: Dasmader shows you how it's done that was the most successful scheme I've seen from anyone at Crisis. Even if it took losing he still got all of Black RX's attack patterns and the knowledge of the King Stone. I still wonder what Dasmader is because he's been killed twice and it hasn't finished him off, so he is definitely intriguing. Kyoko was really helpful in destroying the computer this episode, and Joe and Reiko finding more info about Crisis' plot was good too. I love these four together they definitely make it feel that Kotaro has a team that can help him. I love that the King Stone and the Sun will keep Kotaro alive that makes him really unstoppable and awesome. Final 7 episodes I believe. Can't wait for them. =) Black RX Episode 41: I always love it when it starts off with the action, and Black RX vs Gatezone was pretty awesome. I enjoyed that they were stopping more of Crisis's plans. Interesting that this monster the 100 Eye Hag was related to Maribaron and captured all four of them. I like that it took team work to free Kotaro who then freed everyone else, I also love the use of both Bio and Robo Rider forms against the Hag too and the throwing the Revolcane at it was awesome too. I am excited that the First 10 Kamen Riders are coming back now, to see their appearance is awesome and that they have been fighting Crisis around the world is awesome too. Black RX Episode 42: Doomsday Clock, I see the Emperor isn't messing around here, to be fair he should have done this a while ago to kick their asses into high gear. Gedorian's monster really worked well against Black RX too bad Dasmader screwed that up, and I can't believe they all betrayed Gedorian like that, of all the Generals he is the one who A) Didn't colossally fuck up and B) Was the most loyal to General Jak and not looking to move up like Bosgan or work with Dasmader like Gatezone did. So you know what I am glad he tried his hardest to defeat Black RX even though it didn't work because of a brilliant display by Kotaro using his intellect and his Revolcane to do more than just impale an enemy. The Emperor was way too nice in giving them a second chance but they damn well be thankful for Gedorian's loyalty and sacrifice for them. I love the training montage at the end with the 10 Kamen Riders it's getting me so excited to see them. Joe and Reiko are awesome again with helping Kotaro against Crisis and motivating him too. Black RX Episode 43: Gatezone attacking Black RX after the last fight was a very good idea, I like the aggressiveness of it, honestly they all should have attacked him but you know pride is what is taking them down one by one. Poor Gatezone at least he wasn't betrayed but lost his Captain title in his own pride to destroy RX. The gas idea to destroy the King Stone was a good idea but Kotaro doesn't fight alone and Kyoko, Joe, and Reiko are an amazing help to him. I felt bad for Acrobatter I hope he's okay he took a good hit there. That's two generals down for Kotaro 4 left. I can't wait for the 10 Kamen Riders next episode. =) Black RX Episode 44: Oh look pride leading to the death of another general, poor Bosgan, if he would have fought with Gran Zairus he might have had a shot. Gran Zairus looks badass and can stop the Revolcane is definitely a secret weapon Crisis needed here. I loved Kotaro meeting the 10 Riders, and seeing them fight was just awesome. Also Kyoko and Joe getting some action in too was awesome as well. Though with 3 of the generals down these guys are weaker than the Golgom Priests and Super-1 Generals, hell Super-1 would have probably loved to fight against these guys, it would have been less of a headache. Can't wait for more 11 Rider action. Black RX Episode 45: Wow Gran Zairus was powerful, though I loved how Bio Rider went inside of him and destroyed him, it reminded me of Kotaro using their own plan from earlier against them and sort of X destroying King Dark as well so that's awesome. I like the use of the 10 Riders here, I mean they remind me of Nigou and V3 returning in X but a little less used I mean they held off the returning monsters for a while, it would have been nice to get a little more of their own abilities used but still this is Black RX and he's being showcased really nicely here. I'm glad Kyoko, Joe, and Reiko didn't give up hope for Kotaro being alive and they really were upset at the thought of him being dead. I like the show of emotion from everyone here. Though Maribaron is a bitch running from the fight rather than fighting like the other 3. I can't wait to see Jak get his hands dirty in this next episode. Black RX Episode 46: General Jak getting torn apart but then empowered by the Emperor was interesting, though I definitely feel with what Maribaron saw that Dasmader is actually part of the Emperor but I'll see next episode. That Shigeru and Hitomi's parents died in this episode was dark, I wasn't expecting that and I'm sad because Kotaro and the kids loved them and that General Jak killed them meant he didn't have a shot against an angered Black RX. V3 and Riderman put up a good fight against him, and all the other Riders, Joe, Reiko, Kyoko, and Goro taking down the Chaps was awesome too. General Jak's battle with RX was pretty good, and seeing Shigeru fire the Voltech Shooter was awesome too. Bio Rider was a destructive force yet again. Bio Rider is definitely more of RX's Ultimate Form, while Robo Rider feels more like the Penultimate form. Alright last episode I hope I'm ready for it. Black RX Episode 47: So Dasmader was Emperor Crisis, now everything becomes more interesting, and that humans caused the Demon World's problems I can see being true but if this Emperor's oppressing policies caused it like he would admit to his problems. Great final episode, everyone got their time to shine in it, with Joe and Kyoko taking out some of the Chaps, the Riders taking out them too. Amazon got a great moment with tracking Kotaro. Maribaron dying from the Emperor was a surprise but her not willing to accept the Emperor trying to convince Black RX to join him was interesting. Great final battle with Black RX vs Dasmader. A great sword fight between them, and then Black RX vs Emperor Crisis was pretty awesome too. The Demon World exploding was wow, I feel bad for the 5 Billion people on it, but there was nothing could be done if they would have died if they made it to Earth too so it was a lose/lose there. Now if Crisis went about nicer ways of communication they could have got the people over here without having to kill everyone on Earth. The final scene with all 11 Riders was really nice, and I like that Kyoko will take care of Shigeru and Hitomi for the time being, Joe going to learn about his past in interesting, Reiko continuing with Photography and Goro with becoming a better Chef is nice too. I like that Kotaro is going off to train to get better and it ends like a lot of the other Showa series do with the Main Rider going off and leaving like he did too. Overall this ending was a great send off of the Showa Era. Now overall with this series I have to say it's one of my favorite Showa Era Series, and I find it much better than Black. This show felt a lot more like in the Kamen Rider Universe while Black felt separated, now I love that this definitely feels like a Sequel to Black and combining both shows together as Season 1 and Season 2 I would say makes this incredibly amazing. With Black's ending with him being alone and Black RX's ending with him having so many more people that love him. Also having a smile on his face shows more of a complete victory, Black's ending felt like a hollow victory, but there is a big difference in the shows. I also believe Black RX is an extremely overpowered Rider, if they use his Bio Rider and Robo Rider forms, and his split second transformation changes he could barely be touched. Also that no one in the Crisis army had Power to beat him except for possibly Gran Zairus is kind of sad, no wonder Jak brought back Shadow Moon to fight for them. Still Black RX is a very good show and definitely watch it after Black because 97 Episodes of Kotaro Minami is completely awesome and badass. Kamen Rider Run All Over the World: This was a badass showing of bringing Black back, and having Black, Black RX, Robo Rider, and Bio Rider fighting side by side with each other. Which was just plain cool. There isn't much to say about this honestly, but I do like how it ended with all going into Black RX showing that all of them are part of the same whole. |
I´m roughly at the halfwaypoint of Black RX now and I´m really enjoying the show. Dont know what about it I like so much but I am enjoying it alot more than I did Black. I dont wanna say that I find Black RX better but its just something about it that makes it alot easier for me to marathon it.

The Story in Black is kotaros struggle having a Life forced upon him he never wanted. Coming to terms with the fact that he is no longer human and trying to prevent this from ever happen again while at the same time preparing for the inevitable battle to the death against his own brother. In RX it was stopping Crisis invasion. RXs story had no real depth and thats completely fine. The show didnt try to be anything more than a fun, light hearted action show. |
