Hibiki Episode 5: I really like this show so far. It's like more of an anime with Asumu in his school. I'm going to guess that the good looking guy is Ibuki. He looks cool so can't wait to more of him. Hibiki was pretty awesome defeating the enemy pretty quickly. This crab monster looks tough can't wait to see how Hibiki gets past it and if Asumu passes.

It is always so nice to see someone new discovering Hibiki. :)
Stop after episode 29. |

No it isn't. Hibiki has far less questions in episode 29 than it does in episode 48.

Currently making my way through Kuuga and am up to episode 12 at this point.
It has been really good so far and I really enjoy the differences in the skills in Kuuga's forms. |
currently still on Agito (Hikawa is my favorite), and Amazon now that a friend showed me where I can find the videos.
|
I started watching Kuuga and I still can't get past the sixth episode. :lol

Kuuga is a really enjoyable series so far though and I like the relationship between Godai and the police guy (forgot his name). Also I think I'm going to add the Grongi to my scared list... :lol (Looking forward to watching more of Kuuga.) |

the point where Kuuga became amazing is when Kuuga just straight fucks up that one grongi.
those who watched Kuuga will get my point. also, Ichijo is the man. dude fought grongi with just a rifle! not even an automatic rifle! |

As for the Kuuga talk: I love Kuuga. It's awesome!
Anyway... I'm currently watching Amazon as my first showa series and I really enjoy it. I love the characters, their all so loveable and cute and while the story is a bit generic, the show does a great job on telling it. And the ending theme is great xD |

I have never watched a single Showa series before... I was always thinking about watching Kamen Rider Stronger or the original Kamen Rider but... I felt like I'd stop watching it or I'd just forget about it. It seems like Amazon is a good series so far though... I'll have to keep that idea in the back of my head for now. :) |
The main advantage of starting Showa with Amazon is that it's so short. With only 24 episodes, I think it's great to try it out :)

(Thanks for the show suggestion. :)) |
Kuuga is the reason I fell in love with Kamen rider. It has a lot of strong aspects to it and for what it may lack in certain areas, it is the only rider series I've seen where the threat that the monsters present feels like a lasting consequence and not another Angel Groves "we rebuilt the city between episodes" kind of conflict. That kind of setting and tone made so many episodes carry more weight (notably the episode that SanoBaron referred too)
That being said I'm currently 6 episodes into Agito and am interested to see how the concept of "double Rider" will get it's start in the Heisei era. I had watched OOOs after Kuuga and had seen parts of Kabuto and Ryuki so I know that later series would be pretty liberal with extra riders maybe to the point of becoming pseudo-sentai series. |

http://kedah2u.com.my/kamen-rider/06...sked-rider.jpg sheer unadulterated violence. |
Colorful violence! (So this is what it would look like if you changed the blood color on the options of Silent Hill 3 xD)
But then again... Early Heisei had quite a shocking amount of blood compared to today's shows, so I'm kinda used to it xD |
I have been making my second runthrough of Wizard and this being quite difficult getting through, I am trying to hopefully find something positive but it is not going great.

So I finally started watching Kamen Rider Stronger.
First thing I noticed? God damn Shigeru Jo is a giant dick :lol No wonder they took inspiration from him when creating Tendou Souji. Other than that its pretty alright so far. Tackle is pretty useless but I like the action scenes and the monsters are also pretty cool so far. My favorite part about the show so far is that I was really shocked to see that Shigeru actually requested to get remodeled by Black Satan. Really wanna know in what way this will come back to haunt him in the show and what the other Riders think of him pretty much doing the exact thing on purpose the other Riders tried to prevent for all these years. If its not followed up at all? Still fine :lol |
Hibiki Episode 6: I enjoy Asamu a lot and his hero worship of Hibiki is a lot of fun. I really like Ibuki and thought he was fun thinking Asamu was Hibiki’s student. Hibiki was kick ass versus the Monster Crab defeating with one hand since he was injured was awesome. I like that Asamu is motivated by Hibiki to do better, and how he talked to the Father back at the place was really nice. I can’t wait to see Ibuki transform next episode
Hibiki Episode 7: Man Ibuki is awesome, I loved his transformation; the wind, the trumpet sounds, oh it was beautiful. He also kicked ass and I love his Trumpet Gun. I was all smiles when Asumu passed his exam along with his friends. That was just great to see all his studying paid off successfully. He is a fun character, and I like his journey to go see Hibiki, I would have fallen asleep on the train too probably. Hibiki's training was intense doing 600 reps is insane I liked his drum training too, I am intrigued that they have to train to stay Oni. Akira sounds interesting as Ibuki's protege I'm guessing, well the story is picking up and I figured past the first 5 episodes it normally does. I can't wait for more Ibuki though. =) Hibiki Episode 8: My love for Ibuki continues, he is badass, awesome, and well I love the combination of the trumpet gun and his wind element. I really enjoyed the tension between Akira and Asumu they are interesting and I think she might inspire him to get better. I love both Hibiki and Ibuki's hand motions they are cool and give them something iconic like Kuuga's thumbs up, and Faiz's arm shake. Learning about the mythology and that Hibiki and Ibuki both take care of different demons, and they are apart of a group of Oni that try and protect people is really awesome, and interesting. Asumu's mother was really fun talking to Kasumi and I really like her decision with Asumu so far. Overall I am enjoying Hibiki a lot, very different but very good. Hibiki Episode 9: That's the action I was waiting for, Hibiki kicked ass against those enemies and the giant spider. I like that Hibiki and Ibuki are fighting different types of enemies and finding different threats. Asumu I felt bad for after missing the movie with his friends but I'm glad he stopped those kids from robbing the store well kind of being in the way. Intrigued to see where this goes next. I also can't wait for Ibuki and Hibiki to fight together next episode. |
While watching Drive, I'm also watching Wizard. I'm enjoying it, but not really enjoying it. Makes me want to rewatch Gaim. Which I was already planning on doing.

Hibiki Episode 10: Hibiki and Ibuki fighting together was a whole lot of fun. I enjoyed them taking down the Makamou that only appears every 100 years together, it was a great show of teamwork. It was hilarious when they jumped off Ibuki's bike though but at least it still works. I'm glad it worked out for Asumu with his friend who fell asleep during the movie he missed. I really like the father of the restaurant who protected Asumu, he is an intriguing character; I really am liking the entire cast of this season.

I'm watching the following series
V3 Stronger Black RX Den-O OOO Fourze Drive |

(Yeah, it does have it's boring moments, but I do still enjoy it. I might re-watch Gaim after Wizard... if I don't get bored. :lol) |
Finished Amazon today. It was a cute and fun show, but you really feel that the ending was pretty rushed. It felt like they'd planned a lot more and I really wish I could see that but nah- no more Amazon adventures. The show ended way too early. :(

Ryuki 28:
Well, that was a pretty textbook "filler" episode. Apart from Odin's sweet debut, not a lot new happened in this one. |
Agito 12: Hikawa proves he is still the manliest rider by punching punk ass Houjo into a car. it was awesome. ;-; Hikawa is the most under-appreciated rider IMO.

Wizard Re-watch Marathon. I'm currently at episode 19 and... one of the major problems of Wizard is definitely timing. The show tells so much major plot details in the first three episodes that we have a streak of 14 episodes with NOTHING relevant happening. Then Beast appears and the show starts suffering from Inoue-syndrome, because most of the awkwardness of Beast's debut just comes from Nitoh and Haruto not being able to properly comminucate. Then somehow they do start talking to each other (and Beast never asks why Haruto doesn't have to devour magic energy to survive) but work against each other and suddenly Haruto uses water dragon and... whatever happens. In the middle of all the chaos Gremlin appears and gives Koyomi a new magic stone (with Koyomi suddenly effectively sensing Phantoms again, which she hardly ever uses to actually help out) and he makes some remarks on how she is a doll. But Koyomi doesn't even question what he says/how he knows because... yeah, why actually?
The writing in this show is such a mess. It's like Wizard is a showcase of wasted potential. *sigh* I like Beast's backstory, but it's hard to take it serious when the character is a lame comic relief. |
