Finally got around to watching episode 15. This show is just too good, man. Can't wait for the next one.

If I recall correctly, Belial's mouth actually can open. It just isn't really done that often these days.

I have never witnessed it in the movies or his appearances in the main shows so I assumed he couldn't do it :lol

It is good, I like it a bit more than Orb because the supporting characters work better for me, but it's close since both shows are really great.

I got that little tidbit of information from the wikipedia though so it very well could be bullshit.

No, I very distinctly remember his mouth actually moving throughout the Mega Monster Battle movie, and ONLY in that movie. It was actually super jarring when I noticed it. :lol

Then they probably tried working with it, found the results to lackluster or had issues with the suit and thus the mechanic was dropped.

That's probably it. Its the only reason you'd want to drop something like that when it comes to a villain like Belial since it not only fits his shark motif, the uncanniness of an Ultraman moving their mouth would really drive home his evil nature.
