I know it's still never going to happen, but the day I stop rallying for Ridley in Smash 4 is when Smash 5 comes out.

Also, with the addition of Lucas, now Yoshi and Captain Falcon are the only characters from the original 12 that only have one rep, and Yoshi is just an extension of the Mario series.

Speaking of Smash, I am going to bring my Wii U to an end of the year party for my electronics club and we are all going to play Smash. I have a backup plan if the teacher's t.v. doesn't work.

I have two questions in regards to that:

1: Where can I do this because I do want to see Zero be playable in Smash.

2: Is it just a selection of choices? Because there's some great characters in Nintendo lore that need a chance to shine. Like Mach Rider or Colonel Scott O'Connor, the Kabuki Quantum Fighter himself?

Interesting to see Lucas back as DLC. Who would had thought Mother 3 be so popular in America?

So my brother heard that Ness is apparently Gamestop exclusive, and after that Shulk fiasco he doesn't want to buy Amiibo's from them. So he's just kinda sitting on hi's bed all depressed.

You can put in any character you want. However they will only pick the ones with the most votes.

That's not quite how it works, it isn't a popularity contest. They're just looking for suggestions and will include ones they think will work best. Even if every single person voted for Shrek, it's still (probably) not going to happen. I imagine they're going to have a lot of kids submitting ideas for characters like Master Chief which obviously aren't going to work either, so you know some suggestions will be filtered to go straight in the trash.

Characters who are unique, owned by Nintendo and are well known have the most chance of being added and giving reasons for them to be there besides "this would be so cool/badass!!1" will probably help a lot too.

And don't forget Ridley. I already know it's not happening, but I want Ridley :p

I threw my vote at trying to get solid snake back into the game. Since they announced Lucas all of my old mains are back except for him.

If it hadn't been him, I would probably have voted for Wonder Red.

Jigglypuff amiibo is exclusive to Target and Greninja is exclusive to TRU.

I have voted for Starfy, Isaac (Golden Sun), and Kamen Rider Ichigou because everyone else is throwing in random characters from other things so I want a Kamen Rider!

A character I WANT to suggest is Arceus, but I honestly can't come up with a reason beyond "Because he's cool."

Nintendo knows this, too, since they chose another Pokemon as the first DLC character, rather than one of the myriad of Mario, Zelda, or Metroid (*Cough*) characters.

I wanted to rewatch the Lucas trailer, and found reaction trailers to both Mewtwo and Lucas, so I started watching those, too.

I didn't realize Mewtwo and Lucas had the ability to reduce grown men into squealing school girls.
I say as the upcoming season 5 premier of MLP will likely do the same to me...

Also, it hit me that Lucas's Final Smash wasn't shown off. What's the likelihood that he'll keep PK Starstorm (Since Ness's Starstorm received a massive change from Brawl to 4)?

You know who would be perfect for Smash Bros? Shovel Knight. Everyone go vote for him, or get people who didn't vote for him to.

I voted for Zero.

I know his chances are slime since there's tons of great characters that also deserve a slot but he would make such a great SSB fighter. Also he's a cool dude that started out as a third party Nintendo character. He has history with the SNES and Game Boy Advance.

Zero is a hero and I'm proud to say I voted for him.

I'm not a fan of classic Mega Man (both in his design and gameplay) so getting someone like Zero from I what I consider to be superior series is greater representation for the guy.

The head of Xbox said it was okay if Banjo made it into Smash as DLC after reading that he gave the go ahead a ton of people went and put him on the smash ballot.

One man's word doesn't represent the whole of the company. Being the head doesn't make him all powerful when it comes to their decisions.

Voted for Shovel Knight. Besides it being my favorite game last year, I think Shovel Knight could be a really interesting and unique character with all of his different items and shovel-based gameplay.
