So far there is no consistency other then some kind of proof that you have these figures.

Since some of that info is like pointless I can see how it's not consistent as they learn more.

The codes on the feet are the same for every single figure the date is irrelevant as it's every single figure with that blank helmet. I was probably asked the standard preliminary questions and this was right about when they officially announced they were replacing helmets.

So it's items that you may want to have ready just in case.





Now this replacement head seems have problems with the eyes on the fin. They aren't lined up. Some are very derpy and others closer together. So yah Hasbro.

Dang. Makes me wonder if the leak was right and the 4th figure of the next wave will infact be another MMPR White. If so, I hope it's either the Metallic Armor or 90s Movie version.

Still, gonna get the Z-Putty, and it's cool to see they added the tassel to the Sword of Darkness, even if the sword itself is still too small.

Oh, also ordered the EVO III Drakkon figure. Surprised there's still some left to order(atleast at the time of this post).

The Power Rangers panel for HasCon is on Saturday, so it'll be interesting to see what the official reveals will be!

Unfortunately the only notable thing here for me is Abared not coming with his signature weapon, instead coming with his standard weapons — and apparently very badly miscoloured ones, at that.

That and yet again the unhelmetted head looks bad. Which is weird because the Trent head for DT White was actually pretty good. Looking a bit closer though, it seems like there's atleast some sculpted detailing on DT Red's' sub-weapons? So atleast they could be filled in with some paint. Not we fans should HAVE to paint things themselves, of course.

The heads I never really care about beyond their being in place of more important stuff; I’m much more concerned about the baby blue on the weapons.

So the official reveals from today look pretty good to me.

I love the Z-Putty and that it still has the chest blast effect. When I saw the one from the two pack I noticed it had a circular indent so I figured it would be compatible with a Z-Putty, but each one having it's own is great.

Season 1 Green Ranger looks great. The Tommy head is spot on and the most accurate MMPR head yet I think. They kept the butterfly joints white so I guess the figure will at least look like it has white diamonds when the shield is on. Seems like they were going back and forth as to whether they would do the diamonds or not and maybe settled for a compromise that I am ok with. Overall, I am happy with the figure.

Red Dino Thunder looks good. Comes with 3 weapons and I think the head sculpt isn't too bad either. The effect looks good too. Can't really complain about a figure that has 3 weapons, a 2nd head, and an effect.

They didn't actually talk about the White MMPR refresh, so we don't really know if he will be packed with wave 7 or his own thing. When they started the Metallic Armor video I was convinced we were getting Metallic Tommy, but was surprised it was Kat. Tommy was only shown with the Target Exclusive stuff, which I am SO happy is just a packaging variant.

Oh, and I am SO HAPPY that the monster line rumor was true. They look great and I don't think I could ask for anything else from them. Pumpkin Rapper having pumpkin heads that fit onto the LC figure bodies? So good. Being able to making Pumpkin Putties for a display is great. I hope these reveals quell some of the hate this line had gotten.

Based on what they said, it seems like they are finding their groove and won't be doing things as randomly as they did at the start. We already see that with the Zedd and Rita wedding pack, the monster line, and the new two packs. The Fighting Spirit and Putty two pack was really random, but these new ones make sense.

Yeah I'm definitely going to need Pumpkin Rapper

Not gonna lie, including the mini pumpkins that you can headswap onto other figures make me really tempted to get Pumpkin Rapper, lol. If nothing else, I hope the "Monsters" line lasts long enough for me to have figures of my favorite two MOTW: Knasty Knight and Lizzinator.

Definitely getting a Z-Putty, and will most likely get Metallic Armor Black whenever that comes out. Still, it's a shame that the final figure of Wave 7 is most likely is just a reissue of MMPR White with no changes.

And with the line now costing $23 instead of the usual $20, I really hope that means we can expect more accessories and/or paint apps for future releases.

But yeah, very happy with what we were shown overall!

I may actually buy some of those monster figures. I'm hoping for the venus fly trap and the eyeball monster moving forward, those were my favorites (I don't remember their names lol)

I;m not sure where this price increase news is coming from, but wave 7 was just put up on Hasbro Pulse and it's still 19.99. Snagged two Z-Putties (the limit) and the rest. Also looks like the White Ranger is a Target Exclusive in the new packaging for wave 7 as he is not listed elsewhere.

At the bottom between the bow and the arrow, that is totally a Zeo Crystal piece. The head looks a bit better in this shot too. Makes sense since the Zeo Crystal was introduced in season 3 and the crystal was not seen in this form since the first episode of Zeo. I hope Metallic Tommy or Billy comes with the rock base to hold them all together.

Curious to see how the Target exclusive stuff interacts with the part where my local Target stopped stocking PR toys.

Same. And atleast as of right now you can't order the Spectrum versions specifically via the Target website. Still, if I somehow happen to come across a Spectrum-packed Z-Putty n the wild, I'll grab it. I do like the design.

Goldar arrived today. So just like with Zedd I'mma make a comparison post between the current Goldar and original GameStop exclusive. Exclusive on the left, Mainline on the right:

I like that the new packaging has Goldar's' armor actually looking more golden, rather than orange. I just wish they'd kept the orange background. Ah well.

In terms of actual differences between the figures themselves, well, first and most obvious is the new effect part. I really love the new red, energy-wave-like effect over the original purple lightning one. The sword itself isn't just the original but with gold paint added either. The new sword is actually a slightly different mold, which allows Goldar to have a better grip on it; Though it does come at the cost of some minor detailing on the handle itself going away, which I am perfectly okay with.

And now less obviously, and the part that disappointed me the most; The added paint apps on the figure itself. They're barely there! You'll probably have to zoom in to even notice, but all they did was added random blotches all over bits of his armor, which is honestly more distracting to me then the gold being entirely unpainted ala the original. All they had to do was add a wash to bring out some of the nice sculpted detail(like the various slash marks and scratches on his suit), but nope! Random bits of bronze-ish paint all over his honeycomb bits.

Also yes you can plug the wings from the original into the new one and vise-versa.

Overall... I mean, I'm lucky enough to have both to where I can just make my ideal Goldar out of these, but I could really see people arguing either way over which one is overall better. That said, I have no idea how expensive the original Exclusive is now, so if you don't already have a Goldar and it's too expensive, then yeah, go for the new one. He's still an overall great figure either way. The only really issue is some of the paint apps. As for me, I'mma make my ideal Goldar and then give the other one to a friend.

Ugh, finally got around to packing up all my LC figures and photographing them in preparation for selling them, and found that handling them all again for the first time in a while had me enjoying the figures again. I'm now tempted to just try and sell Beast Morphers and Psycho Blue, and go back to just collecting MMPR, Reds, 6's and Extra Rangers. I'll have to see how expensive it would be though to get the ones I've missed while I wasn't collecting, Mighty Morphin Black and Green, Zeo Red, SPD Omega and Dino Thunder Red and White. Still need to get a Dino Charge Gold and try to work up the confidence to fix the missing paint apps on him too. This was not supposed to happen, putting them all back in their boxes was supposed to help me get rid of this collection, not inspire me to get back into it

Haven't seen anyone mention it recently but I got my replacement AbareKiller head from Hasbro yesterday

For people dealing with it, did anyone else get a message along this line from Hasbro when sending the image of their DT White figure to recieve that sweet sweet painted head?

Or just any kind of confirmation they were dispatching the replacement at all, really.

Found everybody available on Amazon but MM Green, who was out of stock, and DT White who's a Walgreens exclusive. It'd be $151.40, plus shipping for the two non Amazon ones. Funny how the feeling of "Gotta collect em all!" dissipates a bit once you see a price tag. I'll have to think on this

I'm playing around with my EVO III Drakkon right now, and while I do overall like it, there are a few things to note for anyone looking into getting one.

-First off is the packaging. While it's really cool, it is a friggen process getting Drakkon out of the box. Ontop of the box itself being very big and not very collector friendly, I deem it overall not worth it. It's strange to me, because they did an excellent job at being really cool yet simplistic when it came to their Deluxe version of Snake Eyes. They kinda went overboard with the box on this one.

-Second, mine came with a QC issue. One of his elbows jets way outward. Not sure if they did that on purpose(inwhichcase why), or if it's warped from the packaging or what, but it basically means I have to pose him a specific way now. I hope there's a cheaper, standard release down the line that I might be able to replace the base figure with.

But that's it for the overall negatives. Now for the positives.

-You can pop the head off of Saba to have the Headless Saba from the comic, and the sword is painted better than what the Saba that came with MMPR White came with! Heck, the paint in general on this guy is really well done.

-You can unpeg the cape from his back. It's a slight pain to peg back in afterward, but it's still a great feature to have.

-You can put the battle-damaged helmets onto other figures! This is awesome because it gives four of the other MMPR Rangers more display options. You can also peg whatever other helmets you want onto the little rock stand they all come on if you want. Also nice! Makes me wish the figure had come with battle damaged helmets for both Black and Blue, even if that'd be against canon.

Overall I like the figure, but is it worth the $50 price tag? I'd say yes, but compared to their other Deluxe Exclusives, Drakkon here unfortunately falls a little short. If you don't care for the extra energy effects and helmets, I'd say way for a Standard release down the line.

I sure hope they do something different with lost Galaxy Red. This line is getting too many repeats too quick. Ugh.

Changed my mind one for what should hopefully be the last time. Combination of the big cost all at once to catch up, noy having the space for everything now that I've had to clear put my old room at dad's house, and realizing that with my spending more on SW Black Series and TF Generations/SS86, along with So-Do and the occasional SHF, I really can't afford to keep collecting yet another line, and consider I've only gully watched up to about halfway through Turbo and a quarter of a way through Beast Morphers, I'm not exactly a Power Rangers fan. I think the suits look great, but Zordon era aside, I have no attachment to the characters. I've just got to decide if I should get rid of everything, everything but MMPR, or everything but Zordon era, only collect those series in Lightning Collection, and eventually finish Turbo and watch In space. Easiest option is 2, so that's what lll probably do. In the meantime, any ideas for where to figure out what my collection's worth besides eBay?

Been hearing rumours that the next wave is Ohgreen, Dekapink, Abareblue and a single packed rerelease of Gingared. Anyone know anything else on this or what the source is? It sounds like a great wave and keeps to their promise of filling in teams and being “less random”.

Got my mmpr green in early, still deciding whether the lack of white diamonds on the chest is a deal breaker or not since I likely won't be removing the shield anyway. Kind of wish they'd just been upfront with us and explained where the deco cost went into some other figure in the wave.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's never been any figures for the Go-Onger suits right? That's pretty surprising to me since RPM is I thought is considered pretty beloved among PR spaces, right up there with In Space and Time Force (though then again, we only recently got figures for the latter two, so maybe not too surprising).

A little Road Saber or the bus bazooka whose name I forgot would be pretty fun accessories to slap on other's hands. Or a two pack with the Wings.

Not in Lightning collection but RPM had its own line.

If this is true, then that's kind of a bummer for me since I was looking forward to Ninja Storm Yellow. Maybe that'll be Wave 9.

I think they'll probably cool it off on new teams for a bit given both this wave and what they said at Pulsecon -- I'd definitely expect 'team fillers' for another wave or two, with the exception of Dino Fury.

I'm thinking it's almost guaranteed we see an actual production copy for Pumpkin Rapper given Halloween. Might even go up for preorder, along with King Sphinx.

The image they used to announce it basically confirms we'll be seeing a prototype of Pumpkin Rapper. Depending on how he looks, I might actually pick him up despite me initially not planning to.
