I didn't even realize people were having issues with SS Gaim. My copy is perfectly fine, with no armor pieces falling off and everything functioning well. Only issue I really have is the sculpting on the feet can make him a little tricky to stand sometimes, but otherwise he's one of the best Seihous I own. I'm hoping Baron will be in the same ballpark.
OOO, on the other hand, I've had a bad experience with. All the knees and elbow joints on my TaToBa just completely crumbled apart. |

Then again, we do usually get two retail releases, Gotchard was an exception because Gotchard didn't really have another Rider that early on. So technically Valen at retail could be possible. But I'm still betting on Web-Exclusive. Quote:

Sometimes you win the QC lottery and sometimes you lose I guess. I just wish I hadn’t lost on this specific release. |

Granted it could have been better implemented, like having a more solid connection or including a spare for when it inevitably breaks or gets lost due to how easily it pops off. If I had to guess though, this is pre-tooling for Kachidoki Arms, which I'm guessing is going to outright be a set a la Pine and Ichigo, or both a set and a full figure depending on the buyer's preference. It's devilish in any case. Quote:

At the same time, I'm coming at this from a line with a much more involved armor swapping gimmick created by a team that's maybe as big as the one Bandai had working on... Rebel Moon, I guess?... and has a much more exciting and solid execution. So despite everything and knowing full well Bandai Gonna Bandai, I expected better. Lesson learned, I suppose. |
