There are a lot of things you can accuse Faiz of. Subtlety is not one of them. :lol

So, Kaixa is attacking an Orphenoch, and Faiz wants to protect her.
Normal action: Stop Kaixa from attacking her by pulling him away or something.
Faiz's action: Take his sword and start attacking Kaixa with no warning or explanation.
God, this was stupid.

I can understand him not telling Keitaro that she's an Orphenoch, but jeez, his actions here were just dumb.

Also, both Takumi and Kusaka are total assholes.

To be fair, half of Takumi probably wanted an excuse to give Kusaka an ass whooping.

Which is another issue.
I know Kusaka is an asshole, but it's not until the next episode where Kusaka starts actively pushing Takumi's buttons. Up until now, it's been Takumi whose been antagonizing Kusaka...

This is reaching the point where it's getting aggravating.

Also, when does Takumi actually matter to the plot? I'm 16 episodes in, and right now, Takumi is more of a side character, while Yuuji and Yuka have better claim to the title of main character.

I love Faiz personally. It has it's problems, by god it does, but I really found to be a fun watch. And for the things it did right I quite enjoy them, especially how for me at least it really is more of a drama instead of a full blown toku show.

They changes pretty quickly into the 20s.

And yet I've seen Kiva be compared to Gundam SEED...

The super cool part depends on taste though. I never liked them. As for the powers... phew, there's other riders who did better. Kabuto's Clock Up for example is faster than Faiz Accel Form. The only thing that really stands out in Faiz is the fact that the suits glow. Which is the only thing I thought was really cool about them xD

Good question. I never understood Faiz' popularity either.

I was intending on powering through the series quickly.
As I continue watching, it's becoming more and more apparent that doing so isn't an option.

Kiva and Faiz both have the same writer and a lot of the same problems.

To be fair though in recent years I have seen alot of people come around on Faiz and starting to see what is wrong with the show.

Why it was popular to begin with I really dont know. Alot of people like the suits (I`m not one of them) and there will always be that specific crowd that actually enjoys all the soap opera plothtreads this show has.

Most of Inoues work and ESPECIALLY Faiz could be resolved in a few minutes if the protagonists would just talk to each other like human beings.

I like Faiz despite it's problems.

tbh, I prefer Faiz's Accel form over clock-up from a writing stance. it's a limited time power up meaning the hero can't just throw it out. plus, I like the multiple crimson smashers he does with it.

Clock-up is also limited...? I don't remember the exact time, but I think it only lasts for 30 seconds or something.

I cant remember how long it was exactly but yes Clock Up is limited. They can only use it for a certain amount of time then it shuts itself off and has to cool down again.

Clock Up is also alooooot faster than Faiz Axel Form. Faiz only moves at the speed of sound while the Kabuto Riders move at the speed of light. The only difference is Decade who uses a version of Faiz Axel that is as fast as the Kabuto Riders.

I don't want to continue Faiz. No one is even remotely likeable sans Yuuji...

Part of the fun of watching Faiz (at least for me) is to see the terrible people and the amount of angst the characters produce.

Don't worry; Yuuji eventually becomes unlikeable too.

Sounds like the best thing you can take away from from Faiz is Mari's actress because she's really attractive.

I'm so unenthused about continuing Faiz that I can't even stay sarcastic.

I do like Faiz, I still consider it a show with a lot of problems, but it is not the worst of the kamen rider series.

Then again, I'm one of the handful who really likes Hibiki and you're the kind of person who (I think it's safe to say) likes Ryuki, so I'll assume we probably see things very differently. :)

Good Matrix! I don't like Faiz either. Tried watching two episodes yesterday. Really struggled to get through it. Took me four hours at the least. :lol

I dunno. I have a complex where if I start a show, I've gotta finish it no matter how much I dislike it.

Personally, the only part I really liked about Ryuki was Knight... More accurately, his awesome suit design.

For me I consider Wizard to be the weakest rider series for the tv shows, but I would consider Faiz better than Deno so for me Faiz is probably not the worst rider show.

For Ryuki it is my personal favourite series of kamen rider, so yes you are right in assuming that I like Ryuki.

Take one look at my sig and tell me what you think my outlook on Ryuki is.

I dislike ending shows without finishing them, which is why I might resume Faiz tomorrow.
But I just...Argh, this series...

I really enjoyed Ryuki. It wasn't super amazing, but I just enjoyed the characters and designs. The story wasn't very good (Hell, it was really dumb) and the action was fitted with poor CG and underwhelming battle sequences, but I couldn't call Ryuki bad.

Decade is still at the ultimate bottom of my list, and not even my disdain for Faiz can top it. I just...Faiz...God...It just gives me a headache...

At the moment Blade sits at the bottom of my list. Who knows if something will take it's spot someday.

Decade is one of the series I haven't gotten around to watching yet and it is going to be a while before i get to it but from what I have heard, I am really going to dislike Decade.

What other series have you watched for kamen rider that you would consider bad?

Just for reference of what you have seen so that Blade could be prepared.

I doubt anything will beat Decade for me, since it's mix of bad stories, bad characters, mediocre designs (Out of DCD's original designs, only Abyss didn't suck, which is why it's only a mediocre instead of bad), and dull acting to top is all off...

At least Faiz sucks while looking pretty cool :lol
