The only old Kabuto mold I have is KickHopper. I could take a pic when I get home, but in general, the proportions look odd next to the Renewal. Though I think most of the head sculpts are fine. Relative to old Kabuto.

Speaking a someone who had to recently do that to make space: Bacially any Figuarts that I really, really like I'll keep the boxes for. If it's a team set or web exclusive I keep the boxes for those too.

Keeping in boxes, MISB, is not the same thing as retaining boxes.

Well, I'm currently going back and forth with Amiami right now trying to get an exchange for my Hibiki. Much like how ZeoRangerV had an errant paint detail on his Figma Thor last month, I have multiple random splotches of silver paint all over my Hibiki that are very glaring :(

God that Gattack looks terrible next to Kabuto 2.0.

Annnnnd Amiami's customer service can suck it.

Sent them detailed images of the various paint defects on my Hibiki, just explained to them I'd like to exchange it for another figure. So what did they offer me? A 600 yen refund. No exchange or anything else. What amounts to a $6 refund for a $40 item I paid $15 to ship. Insulting.

A US seller did that with my friend not too long ago. His Omegamon's sword came with chipped chrome. I'm going to give a shot at giving it a "battle damaged" look to it when I have a chance.

I just opened my Hibiki. My problem with him is that he's TOO good. He hits all the marks with flying colors. I don't mind higher prices if this becomes the new standard for figuarts.

So what issues do you have with your Hibiki? Someone just told me like two days ago that there are issues with him.

This is why I prefer to go with Amazon. If I get a defective figure (like I just did with Adult Jr for MA), I can get a replacement and then ship the defective one back.

I've abused this once or twice, I'll admit. I bought Agito not too long ago. There wasn't anything wrong with the figure fundamentally. The crest was just bent a LITTLE too much for my tastes and the paint on his mouthpiece wasn't JUST right... So I just said "I don't want it," sent it back, and got a second one in better condition a week later. :p

Dude the issues with it were literally posted 5 posts above you on the same page.

It had a number of errant silver drops of paint on the abdomen and thighs. They're pretty unsightly and a pathetic excuse for QC on such a "premium" figure. So I contacted them about a replacement. They offered me a 600 yen refund, which is ridiculous. And I countered by saying I wanted to exchange it again. And they caved and accepted. But only if I pay shipping to them for the original AND from them for the new replacement.

In any case I don't want the thread to devolve into retailer bitching. But I am very disappointed right now. For a figure meant to be very premium, Hibiki has been a bit disappointing. Shoddy paint apps, looseness in the joints, an abdominal joint frozen in place, etc.

Do we know the release dates for Bravo and Kachidoki yet? Might make shipping easier if I would know when they are in stock.

Exclusives are release the last week of the month. Either the 22nd or 26th.

And unfortunate to hear about your Hibiki. Has this become a common problem, because I just got mine today and he's perfectly fine, joints, paint and everything else.

They don't have an actual date for Shadow Chaser yet.

Oh, I use it all of the time if there is anything wrong at all. I didn't pay $50 to have a paint chip on the figure's arm or to have a foot fall apart. Like my Adult Jr MA right now. My replacement should be arriving on Tuesday. Howver, I'm not shipping the defective one back until after I get the replacement so that I can make sure a part that is not defective on this one is not defective on the replacement.

There seem to be some common QC issues like paint flakes and broken hips. I got pretty unlucky with mine though.

But yeah Kabuto 2.0 makes the old Kabuto style figs look like trash :lol I really really hope for a Gattack Renewal. One of my absolute favorite secondary riders.

No, it's an exclusive and those never have specific release dates like retail releases do. Exclusives start shipping during the final week of the month, as mentioned above.

EDIT: For what it's worth, NY lists the web exclusives as coming in on the 20th, though that seems a little early?

N-Y's billing deadline for the exclusives is the 17th, so they certainly seem convinced that's the date.

I've already paid for Shadow Chaser, so I'm good. I just need to remember to pay them for Green Clover next month.

INCORRECT! Web exclusives absolutely do get specific dates in which items are expected to either arrive or start shipping from Bandai Premium (I wasn't entirely certain which). The problem is that you have to go to the individual pages on the Tamashii Webshop to see these dates, not the schedule for whatever reason. About half of the September exclusives have the 19th Japan time as their release date, while Kikaider, Gaim Jimba Arms, the MonsterArts accessories, Ultra-Act Ultimate Zero, SIC Shin and Android 17 are slated to come out on the 25th.

That's why Nippon-Yasan knows the release dates and how they've come by their payment deadlines, giving themselves a few days to collect payment before their items arrive.

Poor dude rides on Mach Kick... no one should ride on Mach Kick, ever. If he decides to transform while you sit on his back the floppy mess of panels and hinges will tear you to shreds.

Hibiki looks like a great figure though, I would buy him if I wouldn’t know nothing at all about the character.

What a pleasant surprise. Japan Post tracking says Zangetsu Shin is still on its way to the U.S., but USPS says he's already in Florida. Guess I'll have him in tomorrow.

Wow, look at all of the flaking on him. I see what the problem is, it is the metallic paint. Beast Wars had the same problem. I'm glad I did not import him as I have a feeling I am going to have to have Amazon replace him twice.

One thing: Figuarts Joker from Blade never happened. If a monster iconic and crucial to the story as that never got made, Kaito's gonna have one hell of a time.

They also jut relatively recently started Blade - and aren't even done with releases yet. So I wouldn't rule either out, and it's especially not grounds to rule out Lord Baron just for another unrelated case.

(Except for the whole "monsters don't sell well" shtick. That still applies to both.)

Of course, we got some of the Dopants, all of the Greeed, some of the Zodiarts, and Phoenix and Medusa, so Overlords are far from out of the question.

I also believe N-Daguva-Zeba (the final Grongi from Kuuga) got an exclusive release.

Not to mention the Horse and Wolf Orphenochs.

Well, we did get a fairly accurate Wolf Orphenoch in SIC, so I guess that counts for something. Come to think of it, SIC does a better job of releasing things than SHF does :lol.
