Final Fantasy is probably the most overdesigned, and poorly designed, series I've ever seen.
"Our character is wearing a dress!"
"Not good enough!" *Makes it a dress of fucking belts*
"Our character is wearing pants!"
"Not good enough!" *Makes one pant leg full size, the other cut to knee length*
"Our character has a jacket!"
"NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" *Makes the jacket 20 zippers that connect to nothing for no reason*

Mercifully, real life means they can't have the buttfucking stupid hair styles, but the FF designers are really some of the worst character designers I've ever seen.
And I browse Deviant Art for MLP stuff, so you can imagine some of the shit I've seen.

I was talk about the monsters design.

Then you get monsters that look like crap because Sentai doesn't have the budget for that level of CGI.

Designing monsters on a video game isn't the same as designing a monster that has to be a suit a person can move about in.

I wasn't talk about monsters made of CGI.

What do you think the monsters on Final Fantasy are?

Half those things can't be made with foam rubber. And don't even look like Toku monsters.

It kinda has to be.
You can't have a monster that's a giant cathedral with a face for the front doors be made out of practical effects. Especially as a MOTW.

Because of how overly complicated the FF designers are, the monsters would be overly reliant on CG to operate in Toku.
They'd blow their budget before the 15th episode :lol
