A $20 NECA figure and a 4500 yen + international shipping tamashii web exclusive figuart are not even remotely the same thing. A figure that sells for over $80 on the secondary market now as well.

If you guys don't think these issues are a big deal, more power to you I guess. But I am allowed to be pissed off at piss poor QC. I don't pay premium prices for premium products to get defects. This is a noticeable and unacceptable set of defects that shouldn't be present on limited production run collector's merchandise.

Sorry yours has issues, and it really sucks that there isn't a way for you to get a replacement.

My Shin Zangetsu is great, as far as I have looked at it. Hope I fare as well with Hibiki, since it seems I've heard of more widespread problems with him than Zangetsu.

While shin Zangetsu arrived alright, my Ryugen has the messiest head I've ever seen on a figuart. rough paint work. a few scratches and a weird blob on his visor. I can fix a bit of it myself but URGH.

Seems like the Gaims all have their own QC issues.

Do you have a picture of your Ryugen? I think my Zangetsu Shin has the same problem on the visor.


I really hope this isn't going to be a trend as I get more of these Gaim figures because now I'm scared that Bravo is going to come with some sort of defect.

I'm gonna jump in here and say that I had a slight nightmare this morning. After getting my Faiz Blaster & Roborider in last night from Image Anime, thought I'd open them, enjoy them a bit and post a pic or two. Then it happened: opening Roborider and grabbing his head as I do all my SHFs to free them from bondage, his head came out, but the body remained. Worse yet, damn neck joint hadn't been properly set. I was all ready to rant on here and give IA an earful, but after a good 20 minutes of fustration & effort, I fixed it. Kinda proud of myself as I though all the pressure I applied I'd break him further. But just a clusterfuck on top of the fact that he comes with so few accessories & if not for Bluefin he's an exclusive. I knew most of this going in, but the lack of some sort of biceps swivel & the aforementioned assembly required made things a tad hairy for me. Still glad to have them both, but seriously let down. And I was all set to get Figma Thor over these two, as I wanted him more. Price was the deciding factor, as I'm going to get Thor on Amazon for less.

Ugh. Man. You guys really have me dreading my first major turkey. Everything I have coming the next couple of months is an exclusive except for Kachidoki and Kiwami, and aside from MMPR Pink missing her holster, the glue splotch inside Zangetsu's visor, and Baron's torso being off-center, I've been lucky.

My Hibiki is currently en route back to Amiami for an exchange because of those weird splotches of silver paint all over his abs. First time I've ever had to return an SHF.

Haha scalpers at their worst. Gaim not being released by Bluefin allows scalpers sell Gaim figuarts at a higher price knowing that Western buyers will likely pay for a lot of money to buy it since they can't buy it in the states. Same thing happen with the Showa Ultra Act figures until Bluefin was able to work out with the license issues.

True, I would imagine that they will make Drive's car seeing that Drive does not ride a bike. I wonder if Suika Arms will get made into a Figuart? I know it will be a web exclusive, but I will like to see how they will pull off that form.

Having every Gaim Figuart so far, I just wanted to add that mine are all perfect. No problems, whatsoever. none. Not even the sword holder or whatever it's called has any real issues. Gaims comes off his belt kinda easily-ish, but not so much that I would call it an problem.

And I fully expect all future Gaim Figuarts to be without flaws as well.

Maybe I'm just lucky (my Wizard Flame Style doesn't seem as bad as everyone else's either), or maybe the QC issues aren't as widespread as you might think they are.

My Hibiki is just great, too.

I have a question re: Bravo.

My first time ordering a web exclusive. Have my preorder paid on Nippon Yasan. They list the release date as 9/20. Now is that the date that Tamashii Web sends the figures out to them, then once NY receives them then they ship them out to us or..?

Just trying to get a time frame for when to expect my figure. Especially because NY was real pushy about getting paid by the 17th, even saying they'd cancel my order and close my account if they didn't have it.

That's the way their business is run; they expect payment prior to the release of the figure. It's all covered in the information when you sign up. They effectively have a zero tolerance policy on cancellations now, after having been burned in the past. That's why they are very clear up front about letting you know what the consequences are of doing so.

As for shipping, the order will go into preparation first, and you'll get an email about that, and then another when it ships. In my experience, packages usually tend to hit the mail within four days of the final payment date.

Even if you payed them a lot of money and were a good customer for quite a time, they handle you like the lowest scum once you want to cancel a pre-order. E-mails from them insulting you inclusive.

Really? It was in the FAQ on the website when I signed up. All of that information is included on the Terms and Condition pages now. It's all right there. The no-cancellation is reiterated in the payment emails. I actually had to cancel an order once, prior to the policy change, and they were perfectly nice about it. I've never once received an insulting email in response to any of my questions.

I realize no business has a perfect record. For every person that loves CSToys, there are people that hate it. Same for AmiAmi, HLJ, Mandarake, and Jungle. Just because you had a bad experience, don't call me out with 'bullshit'. The information is there. Short of hand-delivering you a note, it couldn't be more accessible. You agree to the terms and conditions when you buy from them. Violation gives them every right to terminate your account, regardless of how much you've spent with them in the past. Everyone has a different threshold for getting pissed off with businesses, but N-Y shouldn't be expected to handle people with kid gloves who violate their business practices. Contrary to popular belief, the customer is not always right.

So how quickly would the order ship out if you paid before they give you the final notice? Considering Blue Beet is my first order through them every little bit helps knowledge why.
